Oh look, we found the one who hates fun.

Was it any good? I've not really seen much early Disney shows.

Between the early three saturday morning shows of Gummi Bears, Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers I always liked the Gummi Bears most. Best setting, best villain, best princess.

>best princess

This is the most 80s shit ever. Why the fuck was it about bears anyway? Gummi bears no less.

The show was about a group of non-human characters who used to co-exist and cooperate with humans but then the majority left while those that were separated went into hiding in the woods. So why not bears.

Also you are a faggot and Grammi would belt the shit out of you until you straightened up.

It sure did have an extensive world full of mystery and wonder. I couldn't get enough of it. Now it's merely furry bait that doesn't attract any decent discussion whatsoever.

It alright.

I kinda miss this show.
I was hoping for a reboot after the new Ducktales.

With the Everything Downturn, I hope they take the chance on making a direct to dvd movie for Gummi Bears.
I believe that Star vs the forces of evil was inspired by Gummi Bears.
Hell, how many of us would love to see a Black Cauldron/ Sword in the stone/ Gummi Bears crossover?
And not _just_ to use gummi magic to human-form Hazel.

There is a sincere spirit of adventure to it that not many modern shows pull off because they're too cool or need to have a sarcastic quip every 15 seconds. Animation quality can be all over the place though.

This quarantine is driving me insane Im going to get my goddamn pics bottles and I am going to sit down and watch this entire fucking motherfucking gummi bear show and hope I dont jerk off to it out of loneliness and desperation. Motherfuckers. the theme song is cool as shit ass fuck.

I would have loved to see Nomura incooperste TV series into Kingdom Hearts. He only ever tried Gargoygles and it didnt go through. But theres so much that would fit so well. We still havent even gotten a real Scrooge world. Any Adventure series would be so cool.

I dont want to make your thread too unrelated though, so sorry if it does but just am on a huge KH fix and everything I see lately seems amazing for KH.

It evokes the thought of children and then teddy bears.

After reboot Ducktales, I'm perfectly content with keeping Gummi Bears in the past. This is not a diss to the reboot, but acceptance that it would never feel the same. Reboots offer only impotent frustration, like watching a little kid play with your toys the wrong way. They can't animate it like they used to, they can't tell these stories the same way. It's better to spend that energy on something new.

you can do it user

we believe in you!

Well said.

Some anons have a conspiracy theory that Amphibia was originally meant to be GB reboot. I kinda believe it since the two shows are similar enough, I guess. Both have a fantasy medieval setting with monsters, magic, steampunk tech, humans and bouncing talking forest creatures.

>This is not a diss to the reboot.
It's shit,user.
No need to be nice to it.

Go for it, user!
They shut down Disneyland, it's only fair since you have to do it yourself.

Based.

theres got to be porn..

there is. are you fucking new to the internet kid? get out underage faggot

I would totally fuck her up the ass

nope. no porn here. move along now

They basically had Fifi LeFume as a character for two episodes, as a bratty princess from another kingdom.

Imagine Sunni Gummi drinking gummi berry juice and bouncing on your dick.

Imagine Cavin drinking gummi berry juice and making you bounce on his dick.

Just a reminder, Gummi Berry Juice gave humans super strength, not bounciness.
Though is would still be hot to gain super strength before sex, and just pick a girl up and toss her onto your dick.

It was better than you would expect. And Calla was a cutie.

>Though is would still be hot to gain super strength before sex, and just pick a girl up and toss her onto your dick.

that was the point of the other post you dumbfuck

Just watched an ep of Gummi Bears. It really looks good, even compared to Amphibia. The cg stuff like Elena of Avalor is alright, and Clone Wars is great, but it just can't compare animation wise.

Good traditional high budget animation will always stand the test of time compared to most of today's attempts to make the process cheaper. It's just a sad truth that very few companies are willing to spend the cash on it nowadays.

I have no idea why all the current Disney cartoons look so fucking cheap, Nu-Ducktales being the biggest example IMO.

She was the cutest princess

>It's just a sad truth that very few companies are willing to spend the cash on it nowadays.
Most of them weren't willing to do so back then as well. Even Disney's TV efforts were an anomaly for the era.

boner.jpg

I know, right? Disney must have had thing for little yellow girl bears around that time, too.

How come they never made more TV shows based on candy, like M&Ms or Sour Patch Kids?

I think 'gummi bears' aren't tied to a specific brand, and nowadays parents groups are too concerned with shows marketing products to children, especially sweets that might be bad for them.
That, and the cartoon is pretty far removed thematically from the candy that bears its name.

Isn't it the opposite? That there are too many small studios because animating became so much less manpower intensive and therefore even the big ones have to stoop down to their level?
Having a lot of competition means a lot of copycatting and cutting corners. When you don't have to worry about rivals who can provide an inferior but far cheaper product, that's when you're at leisure to actually create something of quality if you want.

Based and true.

Not really? 99% of times she had it her way she got in trouble/got shuned for putting others in trouble. The most times she walked out from trouble was when she cooperated with other characters.Teamwork and friendship and all that jazz

Sunni a cute.

You don't get it do you? We're sick and tired of female characters engaging in masculine activities. In this case I'm tired of the Rebellious Princess shit cliche. I hate this bullshit so much, female characters are always celebrated and presented as everything they are not.

he should have plowed that bear poon afterwards. I would have fucked her up the ass

>we
>thinking you represent anyone other than yourself

I hate a smug mary-sue as much as the next guy, but it's the attitude, not the activity. Tomboys are still hot as hell when they're not busy lording an agenda over you.

The day of the male protagonist isn't over. It's only Disneycorp that stopped making them. Princess Calla was a change for good at the time, a spoiled princess who did the work herself and took the risk to to what was right because it was right. She was Cavin's adventure buddy and he was her bodyguard. They were a perfect pair. And yes, nowadays it's all "the girl must overshadow the boy". But mostly for Disney cartoons, where it's most visible.

It seems most modern "strong female character" just want to prove they can be the alpha jock character too, while forgetting everyone was supposed to hate the jock.

I don't get how this was in the same block and on the same level as the super-classics like Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers, but is somehow so much less remember. I thought Sunni was as cute as Gadget as a kid. And at least in the post-Soviet space this is remembered fondly on the same level as the other Saturday Disney cartoon classics.
