Why are cartoon fans more childish than anime and vidya fans? Even people in the industry are more childish.
Is it because there aren't enough adult-oriented cartoons?

>Why are cartoon fans more childish than anime and vidya fans
An anime fan set a studio on fire and killed 36
Someone killed 2 others because he lost a video game
Someone else doxxed an unrelated person who got killed over a couple cent call of duty bet
Are you REALLY going to say cartoon fans are more childish?
>Why are cartoon fans more childish than anime and vidya fans?
U mean degenerate, and because Yas Forums shows has more C.
Are those just exceptions to the rule?
dude, how do you get a photo of literally me?
>Why are cartoon fans more childish than anime and vidya fans?
(x) doubt
Don't forget Mr. Anime and fucking CHRIS-CHAN!
Man, you're right. No one in Yas Forums fandom can ever be as autistic as Chris-Chan
Randy Stair says hi from Hell.
Why are adults that like things made for children more childish than adults who like things made for adults. Gee, user, I wonder.
>implying all cartoons are for children
>implying all videogames and anime are for adults
>implying all cartoons are for children
But the vast majority are
i hope Yas Forums enjoys being flooded by Yas Forumsedditors because it really is cathartic justice for years of this shit.
Bring me up to speed.
I mean, you could argue the majority of popular anime is made for children, as well
the vast majority of anime is made for otakus with disposable income. Pretty much every anime in the past two decades is just an advertisements for its manga/figurines/mobile games
they welcomed the outragefags and didn't expect the cancer culture that follows them to tank the quality of there own board, figured they would lurk more and assimilate rather than begin burning everything and shitting up the board, a surprise to no one, that didn't pan out.
>More childish
Do you have any info that backs that up? I can find immature people for video games and anime, and you can do the same for cartoons. Nothing to say that one is bigger than the other.
More like a hunch, as it's hard to do empirical research on this. seems to have hit the nail on the head.
3rd times the charm
Majority of anime is made for adults.
>Majority of anime is made for adults.
lol no
I wanna say they are equal. Plus overlap is a thing. Everyone has shitty stuff. This guy covers some examples And for the Cartoon side you got the group of people from the SU who ganged up on an artist because the person drew Rose skinny.
Hell, you could argue the video game side is more childish just on this site. Go to Yas Forums and it's generally way more shitposty with it having more wojak and pepe spam.
Teens and adults. There aren't that many teen-oriented Western Animation either aside from capeshit.
And that guy obsessed with Ember from Danny Phantom shot a bunch of people.
None of these extreme, isolated incidents are evidence of the effects of these entertainment interests on the psyche. Otherwise, the people saying Doom causes violence would have a point.
For the record, I don't agree with OP. I think Yas Forums, Yas Forums, and Yas Forums are gigantic shitholes compared to Yas Forums.
>east vs west
But this is cartoons vs anime and vidya. Not all vidya are from Japan.
Is there the anime/vidya counterpart to autistics drawing cartoon characters with crayons/MS Paint? (aside from Chris-Chan)
You're confusing childishness with psychopathy.
>aside from Chris-Chan
He draws video games
That's why I put Chris Chan as an example. Cartoon fandom have a subset of autistics who draw the same thing over and over again with crayons and/or MS Paint
It's pretty tricky. What's the difference between an immature manchild and a psychopath?
Ember ghost squad, Steven Universe bullying case, and so on. Honestly it's the same with every medium that generates obsessive fanbases, you'll have stalkers, insane people sending death threats, shooters and the likes.
*as an exception
>a bunch
3 people are not exactly what would I call "a bunch"
I guess you have people drawing Sonic OCs, but isn't that because of the Sonic cartoons and comics?
If user is going to include a guy who killed 2 people, it's fair for me to include someone who killed 3. I wasn't sure of the death count when I referenced him, only knew that he was involved in some shooting and more than one person died.
I think that's part of it, but to understand the real reason you need to know the full history of the organized cartoon fandom, and that would take more time and effort than I want to put in right now.
Mostly I think it's because the anime fandom needed to put in more effort early on and so attracted a more serious fanbase.
''''adults''''
Fans of what? What show/game/anime? Where are these fans (Yas Forums/reddit/Yahoo/tumblr/etc)? How many are there and how loud are they? This question is very broad and requires lots of background information that I don't have the time or energy for.
toons in the west are still pretty much exclusively perceived as children's entertainment.
teens and adults that never mentally matured past 14. That's why the overwhelming majority of anime have a teenager MC and/or takes place in high school
>cartoons are specifically made for children
>surprised most of its adult fans are manchildren
anime is generally aimed at young adults but is also a huge pot
Id say moefags and isekai haremfags are MUCH more manchildish than your average CN soiboy especially considering they are actually enjoying something thats supposedly mature.
while when talking about creators, the japanese are just more mature as a people AND as already stated actually work on stuff that has to appeal to other adults.
but adult cartoon creators are overall the most mature.
>but x
>but y
I guess the conclusion is : its fucking pointless to compare two such vast groups with so many subcategories. I wont even bring vidya into that equasion.
thats like throwing a piece of meat into the Apples and Oranges discussion we are already dealing with.
Who are you all kidding?
You're all manchildren and like both and just enjoy shitpost debates
thats the entire dynamic of these threads
>but adult cartoon creators are overall the most mature.
Maybe in the past, but cartoon creators these days are most trust fund soiboys like alex hirsch
>You're all manchildren and like both
Pretty much, everyone likes to pretend they don't ever post on other boards and the attitudes here and there prove it's really very similar types of people frequenting both places.
Has he created an adult cartoon, though?
>forgetting Mad Thad
and?
Alex Hirsch isn't an adult cartoon creator
youre right overall adultcartoonists arent as mature now but overall they are like the big brothers to both
overall in general maturity wise i rate adultcartoon makers=mangaka>anime industry=comic makers>toddler cartoon creators>regular cartoon makers
>toddler cartoon creators
Why are they even mentioned? Who gives a shit about the faggots making those shows unless they did something horrible/amazing?
alex hirsch hasn't made anything for adults you stinky dumb Yas Forumseddit scum.
>this thread will reach bump limit
Another response defending Alex Hirsch.
just to make the gap bigger
Did that murderer kill because of that Ember character from the Danny Phantom cartoon show? Were the victims people who made fun of that Ember character?
Sofia the First has a sizable fanbase, if that counts as a toddler cartoon
The wierd gadget cult
The sexscandals related to hollywood
Comic artists that have a weird diaper fetish at best
he wanted to shoot his school but it was demolished already so he shot up his work place instead
Yes. Want to talk about something else?
Chris-chan is partially Yas Forums technically speaking.
What's the specific context to that Ember character?
I know that the anime and manga fan Shinji Aoba who burned down the animation studio Kyoto Animation did it because he thinks that they plagiarized his work. Or at least, that's what some people claim was his justification on why he targeted them.
of course it will, what you want moderation to actually do something about bait threads? that makes you an evil communist user, shame on you.
as far as I know he waifu'ed her so much he started believing he was a ghost girl himself that had to do a shooting spree and then kill himself to be free of his male body
and he also believed the ghost zone from the show is real
Was CWC inspired by the Sonic video game or the comic/cartoons?
I know that eventually CWC got into MLP.
It was completely unrelated to the Ember character.
People like to bring the fact up for some reason.
I mean I don't want to bother them but they must have some free time.
I have a personal theory on the strangeness of modern media, and the widening gap between me and its audience. I think infantilism has a pervasive influence on millenials and zoomers. Furries and fans of MLP, Steven Universe, Hazbin Hotel, etc., are attached to their childhood to an unnerving degree. I don't think their parents whipped them enough. Maybe they were allowed too much time alone in their room. Maybe the world they grew up in was too controlled and safe out of some sick desire to preserve their innocence and stave off adulthood. These shows make me irrationally angry for a number of reasons, but the primary one is they're just too fucking gay. Someone walking down the street should call Steven a whiney cry baby pussy. The spider should be called a fag and then beaten within an inch of his life. There's no contention from the meat head gorillas that just won't stand for holding hands and getting along. It's the kind of escapism utterly void of true danger and conflict. It's for soft hearts and smooth brains.
This is still discussion about the media, like it or not.
I'd rather have threads like this than the loads of waifu or shitposting ones we typically have.
i really like this drawing, is like an updated butch style.
