Back when Europeans were cool.

He's cute

SUCKS

Attached: e63.png (286x439, 226.47K)

just belgium

Not really. TinTin travelled around France and Britain too, he carried a Browning, Haddock often had a gun and there was cool shit and cool people everywhere they went. Now it's all just bland metroseuxals.

>But you're an Ameri-

I'm a half-Dutch, half British man who spent his childhood in France, Germany and went to school in Britain and university in Switzerland, I have been in the armed forces of three nations (currently the US where I reside and is the last bastion of actual decent civilisation), the last twenty years has spelt the destruction of Europe and of civilisation in general, I have had enough of it and so have left for greener pastures.

He was supposedly a newspaper reporter, right? Who would hire this nutcase?

>also, does anyone know where i could download french pdf of original comics?
This seems to work
bdzone.canalblog.com/archives/2019/12/01/37832308.html
For anyone who'd rather read them in English they're on libgen.

Shut up straya, stop stirring shit up.

Sure is comics and cartoons in this post.

Based

yeah he was popular there but that's just western europe

He started off as one, his first couple adventures were him going to a certain foreign country to report on the social status there.

forgot to add
>Now it's all just bland metroseuxals
come to hungary (not budapest because it's infected with tourists) and you'll see that eastern europe is pretty good

>bdzone.canalblog.com/archives/2019/12/01/37832308.html
nope
i tried that earlier today but there's a 1h30min threshold between downloads.
i want to download the full collection (22+)

>pdf
fucking newfag comics are never pirated as PDFs
search for CBRs

Stories were great, but Tintin himself often was the least interesting character in them

Who would hire an orphaned 10 year old to be a radio news announcer?

>fucking newfag comics are never pirated as PDFs
Eurocomics often are because the French are technologically inept on average.
t. Pierre

Are the original comic strip versions available anywhere, or just the redrawn album versions?

The film was basically Spielberg's apology for making Indy 4

He was great at investigative journalism and willing to put himself in danger to get the best stories as well as highly capable of blending into a variety of local cultures
He'd have gotten plenty of work

>desecrating a foreign corpse as an apology for desecrating the corpse of a relative
K.

too lazy, and mostly don't want a dedicated program
also this is true

>least interesting character
what about the fooking dog?
no but seriously fat lady was much more annoying and she was really not interesting

the movie was okay, could have been better sure but there was enough respect and it was decent as a standalone
I wouldn't mind of Spielberg gave it a second shot, especially because he can already give up on pleasing the american market and as a result the americanizations don't need to be present anymore

haven't seen the movie in a long time, but the 90s series is still probably the best.
anyway hes a jew and like all jews he does mostly garbage.
indy 4 is def the weakest but nowhere near as bad as the disney sequel trilogy

tony? from hack the movies?
(sorry if you don't get the joke)

He clearly doesn't understand what makes Tintin comics work, or why Hergé thought he would be a good director for Tintin after watching the first Indiana Jones movie. The over the top grand spectacle wasn't strictly to please burgers, it's just what Spielberg does now.

Indy meets Tintin could be an interesting crossover
the most popular Tintin stories are set around the times of the original 3 movies after all

>why herge thought he would be a good director for TinTin
not according to Wikipedia

i thought they take place around when the comic was released
most were released in the mid to late 50s to early to mid 60s
so centered around indy 4, no?

>where i could download french pdf of original comics?
OP here
please help

>Tintin punching nazis alongside Indy
I can imagine the butthurt from the history-challenged culture warriors.

Given how Hergé portrayed the Japanese in the Blue Lotus, had Belgium remained neutral in WWII, Tintin would have been punching nazis
And punching would be literal, Tintin has one hell of a right hook on him

This fag ain't Astérix

Can't find the quote where he supposedly said it, but the rights were sold when Hergé was still alive.
>En novembre 1982, le siège des éditions Casterman reçoit un appel des États-Unis. Kathleen Kennedy, cofondatrice de la société Amblin Entertainment (qui produit les films de Steven Spielberg) aimerait savoir si les droits d'adaptation de Tintin pour le cinéma sont libres. Philippe Lombard dans son ouvrage Tintin, Hergé et le cinéma précise : «La nouvelle est aussitôt transmise à Hergé qui en est très heureux» (2).

Secret of the unicorn, red rackham's treasure and seven crystal balls were early/mid 40's stories and prisoners of the sun is late 40's
and those albums are the most Indy-like of the series so he'd get a crossover with prime Indy

Obelix in the movies is portrayed by Depardieu
> KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK KEK

still problematic.
it could still mean 2 other things
A- he don't want to do shit with TinTin anymore
(altough he was working on Alph art so i doubt it)
B- SOMEONE is making a movie, when he understood spielberg he wasnt happy
also, this
fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Aventures_de_Tintin#Cinéma

I never really liked that casting but it's still better than most of the actors who play Astérix, and Obelix is a pretty tough role to cast.

As for story, Indy running into Tintin while both are investigating a possible remnant group of Nazi's in the late 40's (former as part of journalism, latter because they're after some kind of artifact they believe can restore the Reich) might even work

>B- SOMEONE is making a movie, when he understood spielberg he wasnt happy
It literally says he was very happy though.

>fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Aventures_de_Tintin#Cinéma
The source for that part of the article doesn't even work.

i wasn't saying that Depardieu is a bad choice.
rather that now he is a fat drunk.
(and optionally, Obelix is rumored to be addicted (cocaine, heroine perhaps?) and that's why he craves the potion) i mean my favourite album of Asterix is the one where the name doesn't even have asterix but obelix.
Obelix et compagnie

Also
>R.I.P Uderzo

>R.I.P Uderzo
I'm not going to imply I'm celebrating his death or anything, but he's been behind every bad choice made with the franchise since Goscinny's death. Fucker praised the 4th live action movie of all things.

honestly , the only great movie is 12 tasks.
and asterix mission cleopatra is almost as great but Debouze is fucking horrible.
also, Harold Faltermeyer composed one of the animated movies HOLY SHIT

What a lad

Attached: tintin.jpg (1050x591, 76.04K)

Nice guy who ain't afraid to get dangerous or pull off crazy stunts when the situation calls for it. He's cool.

i love the teesside dub

But user, everyone knows that Europeans can't be retarded.

I used to translate Diabolik comics for a forum, and no, most euro shit is in PDF because they are scan by 50 years old retards.

ew i forgot how ugly that movie was

translate in what language?
also, damn i miss the Sabbath series, they should have made so much more of it

Well, it was in Mocap.

I don't think it looks ugly at all.

Jimmy Somerville?

You'd be suprised how many notable people worked on some of those animated movies, especially La Surprise de César.
