Homestuck was literally only good because the story was constantly moving. When that stopped, the characters began to rot.

Damruss would've been pretty ballin I'd say. Rufioh gets to have some breathing room, relationshipwise. Horuss ditches a dead relationship that was weighing him down, he could probably learn eastern beforan too after a while. Damara gets a boy she can let out all her pent-up anger on, and also take it in stride due to his build. He's also not a complete dickhead like Cronus. She's a complete sexual freak and he's a shy horse who can be roped into anything.

I'm in no way bothering to read up on Homestuck 2 after the shitshow that was Act 7, but everything I've read about the epilogues and the meat/candy thing said that John dies in both timelines. So is the John in the OP regular John or some alternate timeline bubble shit and the real John is still dead?

At least act 6 still had Roxy as a pretty likeable character, epilogue and Homestuck 2 Roxy is fucking boring as hell, she is a Dave clone without the funny moments because apparently you can't make a transgender person look goofy.

Dirk and Rose make the species that plays the game that creates the troll universe. It makes everything more paradoxical and it'll probably piss people off that HS2 is not only an sequel but a prequel, which I'll personally find hilarious.
Jade and the rest of the ship catch up , there's a small fight, but realistically they'll probably hash it out, but I don't really care what they do. Calliope goes off the rails though in a fight for the narrative.

Earth C can't really get out of the political shit, maybe get the new kids involved in the game Dirk and Rose meant for the new species, somehow. Anyone who cares about them probably wants them to step up and fix the dumb shit the old characters did, but so far the biggest villain is just put Jane in her place.
Let Tarvros go full rage, make Vrissy try to outshine but fail, and have Harry faff about.
Maybe bring back Lord English for kicks.
