Astartes - Part Five
there's no hope for any w40k property being good as a tv show or movie when it will always be compared to this
why would you compare the eisenhorn show to this? hes a space detective, not a 8 foot tall murder machine
Hopefully they learn to hire this guy, then they have hope
GW stated that they ain't hiring him.
I loved that. Just immediately fucking drop the compromised Psyker. That and the one Marine willingly taking his arm off with the Plasma Pistol were both top tier Space Marine moments.
Source?
sauce on that?
"A Warhammer 40,000 fan-film project. Mini-episodes released as a five part series. 100% unofficial and in no way endorsed by Games Workshop." - Stated on the channel itself.
Sad.
Whats the name of this Chapter by the way? I'm sure its homebrew, I'm just curious.
That isn't stating they wouldn't hire him numbnuts, its saying he's making this shit on his own and hasn't asked GW to
That doesn't mean Games Workshop said anything about it, that's just the creator covering his ass legally.
I don't believe he said a name for the chapter yet
they look like white templars, except part of the shoulder pauldron is different color
RETRIBUTORS
That and their armor is grey, not white. Or are the ones that killed the Psyker different from the ones we've that got sucked into the Event Horizon ball?
>it's user being autistic
Serious answer? Because the dude ain't British. That's that.
Nice thanks user.
>'they won't hire him because of his nationality'
>serious answer
>blood coagulated as soon as it his the ground after coughing it up
The little things man.
Brutal truth. It's sad. And stupid. In their place I wouldn't have thought about it for longer than a second and hired him after the teaser and episode 1.
So what was the orb bros? Tzeentch fuckery or a C'tan shard?
They hire people from different nationalities all the time, they just don't let them get to high up in their company. Making animations isn't really a threat to them.
Still retarded that they don't hire people like that on the fly. It is these guys who, with passion, do such awesome things out of love.
Because they already spent money on animated projects, it's smarter for them to wait and see how popular their official shows are before jumping on a possible 1 trick pony.
The teleporting says chaos to me that or corrupted eldar shit.
>Brutal truth.
prove it.
It's easier for them. Fans make really kick ass stuff for free.
I'm guessing a bound daemonhost
He was definitely already dead from that punch, shooting him was just insulting.
I don't see this as Chaos. Not enough pointy bits on everything.
>Because they already spent money on animated projects, it's smarter for them to wait and see how popular their official shows are before jumping on a possible 1 trick pony.
I can say that some have good animation, but the Blood Angels one's voices...meh.
What is proof? It's is a step to more secrets.
They could at least give some support...then again because they hired the guy who did the funny Eagle-Ordinary web-comic about a bunch of Guardsmen based on his Only War session, the comic stopped being updated.
I FUCKING LOVE IT AND I'M SAD IT'S NOT UPDATED ANYMORE.
Anyone recognise this Chapter from the credits? Looks like an Iron Hands successor based on the symbol, but they have an orange colour scheme.
Pretty sure thats the logo for Oats Studios.
Need one with the Beakie mag dumping
see
>thinking a headless corpse is harmless when warp or xeno fuckery is afoot
dunno but in the final credits looks like they are fighting dark eldar.
>that MK VIII with the gorget
Kino armor.
White helmets with the crux terminatus denotes them as veterans trained for use of terminator armor and of rank and prestige to be members of the 1st company.
Some kind of warp related relic, possibly from another alien civilization.
Each bolter round was kicking up energy from the body. They are not going to stop until the shell stop doing weird stuff.
I've always wondered, is that the same for all Chapters or does each Chapter have different colors and insignia to mark their Veterans and stuff?
Not all Chapters do the same, but the animator released an infographic for the Chapter, and they're considered "80% Codex Compliant". That doesn't mean much on the face of it, but it does mean that it's safe to assume that the crux denotes his Terminator honors.
Interesting
WHAT THE FUCK IS THE ORB
Yeah I just found this. Looks like our main squad up to this point were in the 6th Company
Very nice. Animation, lighting and sound is still too notch.
Any guesses what the giant humanoid shell was? C'tan?
whatever it is, I hope it's not chaos.
This will probably be a daemon but I want it to be something else, so far, whatever their dealing with look pretty unique and I like it
>6th Company
No I was wrong. Kneepad has the Company and Squad on it not the helmet. I'm an idiot.
I say something else entirely, there are more powers in the horrible sky's than just those two.
>Orb says 'must return'
>Psychic powers that overwhelm human and astarte
>Transports them to place with giant skeletons(long extinct species)
Calling it. The Orbs are captive umbra. And the giant skeletons is a tomb of Old Ones.
so real question here, seince this is a new chapter we know nothing about, are we to assume they work with the inquisition, serve the inquisition, or perhaps even have sway over the inquisition as some kind of bizarre minor ordo/ attachment to an ordo
Because the one episode of eisenhorn where space marines show up (which does happen in the novels), it's gonna get compared to this.
>work with the inquisition
That is possible. There are a lot of chapters that mostly(or entirely) serve the Inquisition. coincidentally a lot of these Chapters eventually go Traitor and form a chaos warband.
> serve the inquisition
Each order has their own chamber militant. Unlikely.
>or perhaps even have sway over the inquisition
Pfff haha no.
OH FUCK
Good. Let's put some pressure on those lazy series producers.
But the old ones are big lizards.
