I fucking hate love triangles.

The sheer amount of comics and webcomics and anime that use this shit is staggering. I hate it most when it's female written webcomic stuff or they like to dress their ocs or put them in fics based on this.

>Nu-SpongeBob reference
Kill yourself retarded zoomer.

>Russian scientists
Does that show up a lot? That feels like a very specific thing.

>castlevania being tolerated on Yas Forums because netflix is American
But its literally a cartoon. It sure as hell doesn't belong on Yas Forums.

Its netflix anime division, just because the people that make it aren't all Japanese doesn't change that. You see Devilman Crybaby on here?

>Villain who has committed horrible atrocities out of sadistic glee and spite gets a slap on the wrist because they were sad
>Tomboy is a lesbian/bi
>Lesbians in general
>Male hero is treated as being selfish because he's trying to keep his suicidally stupid, non-powered GF safe from superpowered villains/dangerous gangs of criminals

On that note, does Canon Busters go here on Yas Forums?
It has a more anime feel than Castlevania but its creator is a black dude from america(correct me if I'm wrong about that part)

The Mary Jane shit in Spider-Man PS4 was so retarded.

Anyone notice this trend in comedy cartoons in the mid-2000s?
>characters in an episodic show with no continuity
>episode has a dark ending where the only conceivable next happenings are that the characters are either dead or trapped in some kind of hellish situation for all eternity
>next episode opens up like normal.
I know Spongebob did this, like when all of the characters stayed fused together or they were stuck on the Flying Dutchman’s ship for all eternity. I think there was a Billy and Mandy episode that ended with Irwin being stuck as a fish permanently swimming away from a viscous piranha in his bowl forever, screaming “I’m sorry, yo!”
Anyway, those endings always stuck out to me as a kid, especially because they never affected the show’s characters thanks to the episodic format.

>Hero disapatches hundreds or thousands of low tier henchmen before getting to the main antagonist, who themselves is super fucking evil, and has killed people or they imply they did
>about to attack
>stop
>"No, I won't kill you. I won't stoop to your level."

You complain about an animation trend, then criticize others for complaining about an animation trend

Should ATLA and Korra go to Yas Forums?

Dude, that’s the first fucking thing that popped up in my mind. That shit pissed me off. What are you going to do, Mary Jane, kill all the bad guys with your stealth? She still needed Spidey for the fucking Grand Central Station mission. Ridiculous.

Used to bother me, but I dunno, I accept them as part of the silly format now. It's like a Heathcliff comic.

Worst MJ, for sure

Yes but only because it would make the fucking whiney bitchy fanbase go there to bitch about thier ship not happening

what's stranger is shows nowadays that do both. American dad is a great example. Sometimes characters and events carry over to the next episode, sometimes they don't. No way of knowing till later.

Reminds me of GTA IV. The first mission where you kill someone, Niko says “I promised to myself I wouldn’t kill anyone here.”
I mean, I just ran over a bunch of people on the way here, but sure.

>>hero refuses to kill people, but is fine crippling them for life

I just don't think continuity is that important in comedy shows like American Dad

I wouldn’t say they ever bothered me, but I had a weird fascination with dark endings. Not just dark endings, but the ones that couldn’t be resolved in any conceivable way. Made me come up with a bunch of headcanons for how the characters could have possibly gotten out of it.

I mean, I woulda drugged, and I didn’t actually mind playing the stealth sections, but she was exceptionally bitchy and never seemed truly grateful to spider-man for saving her ass multiple times.

Ah I getcha
My brother and his friend used to write fanfics for early monster of the week x-files episodes.
The only thing I remember was that The rubber guy who could squeeze through any space got caught in an escalator

Transformers Animated did a nice twist on this
>Optimus spares Megatron's life
>So he can stand trial for all the war crimes he's committed and probably be executed

>any animals act like a trained dog

I love when American Dad does it. The first episode I ever saw was the hot tub one that just ends with “well, that’s it. Stan’s dead.” My favorite episodes also are the rapture ones, and I really liked “Rabbit Ears” from this season. So now, American Dad is a television show inside of Stan’s heaven, but he’s also dead from the hot tub. Also, even though he’s in heaven, he’s doomed to hell unless he can be fit enough to escape, from that episode where he gets addicted to dying and being brought back to life.

>One Eternity Later
Yeah as a kid I always tried to reconcile the timelines of these clearly non-continuity based cartoons, but realized it's foolish to apply logic to these shows. However, Band Geeks is still the chronological end to Spongebob in my mind. Squid finally got that recognition.

>The art style of the adaptation doesn't match the source material
>Characters hang out with a douchebag for no reason
>Character using modern terminology out of nowhere
>Fight scenes with no impact
Alternatively, fight scenes that care more about being fluid than having any action
>All animals are dogs

MEANT TO SAY WOULDA FUGGED
I HATE AUTOCORRECT

I’ve actually never watched x-files. Should I start at the beginning?

He didn't actually do anything besides organize the band. They did everything for him. That's a horrible place to end.

man why do you kept watching SU then, have some self control.

Didn’t they say that the movie supposedly takes place eat the very end of all of the spongebob episodes that come after that? Squidward is still working at the Krusty Krab. Maybe he was a one-hit wonder and ran out of money.

>>Characters hang out with a douchebag for no reason
Do they actually explain with the boys in South Park hang out with Cartman?

I found season 1 to be pretty good. The show hits its stride earlier than most.

>Characters who are sophisticated are drawn as human scrawny clean twink sticks (Example: Bill Cipher)

No.

>protagonist or best friend/love interest overhear conversation of the other one
>hear something misleading out of context
>get in arguement over misunderstanding
>go apart
>have to watch what is supposed to sad when its obvious as fuck they're gonna be together again anyway

Yeah, the whole 'I won't stoop to your level by killing' isn't that bad if the villain's goals are utterly twarted or get a punishment, both in such they would rather have died but succeded in their objectives or gotten revenge from the grave.

Thanks user, I’ll check it out.

Did you guys never have that one asshole friend in your group that you ditched as an adult?

>Plot-driven series has filler episodes 2 weeks in a row.
Looking at you, Gravity Falls.

I mean, our group tended to stray form people like that. I know it’s an exaggerated cartoon, but he did make someone eat their parents.

Why would you even hang out with someone like that? I'm pretty sure that even kids have enough sense to do that.

Because a lot of the time you still have a good time with them, they just piss you off sometimes

>Victor and Valentino

I personally always told them to fuck off.

Attached: thumb_sad-ogre-noises-60059110.png (300x223, 40.38K)

wow this is actually something I agree with

Yes, it's explained in the first episode: They all wait for the bus together and live near each other. Lots of kids are like that. Cartman also wasn't nearly as clearly the asshole in the early seasons, Season 1 and 2 Kyle and Stan are just as much dicks to Cartman as he is to them.

>Boys win in a girl's body

The later stuff is all about the big underlying conspiracy, but that's good too, I think. They still throw in some fun monster of the week stuff and a few goofy episodes in as filler as well.

Grew up together
Also probably better than Craig.
