Ok Quarintine has given me time to check on stuff I had not seen. What am I in for with this?

A treat.

The greatest version of Aquaman that's ever existed.

I hate virtually all made-for-TV cartoons made after 2003.

I don't hate this. Enjoy.

How old are you?

Campy fun for the most part. The Justice League in this cartoon is based on the JLI lineup if that tells you anything.

Almost 40

A more silver ageish cartoon. Definitely lighter than other Batman animated series. I remembered it featuring less focused on characters like the Cavalier. Highlights include the Music Meister and Booster Gold. I did remember hating this version Clock King because he never did anything and just served to fill out the crowd. Also, music. Seriously, the musical sequences are worth watching for.

A love letter to the goofier side to Batman and comics as a whole, with a few shockingly strong emotional moments. It takes a little bit before it really finds its footing, but once it does it is the most fun you will ever have with a Batman show.

surprisingly high body count

Damn. I wonder how I missed it with all this praise.

A lot of people write it off because of its goofy tone, but most who stick with it love it.

The Music Meister!

Majesty.

It was ok. Better than Batman: Ninja, worse that Batman:Klansman.

Beware the Batman is the worst of the animated Batman TV series. Batman in there is an immoral retard that people think is smart because he talks out loud a lot.

Pure kino

I didn't even mention Beware the Batman, dumbass.

He didn't mention Batman: Ninja. Your point?

Because you were responding to me, you fucking idiot. I was trying to let OP know that the series he's asking about is somewhere between Batman:Ninja and Batman:Klansman in quality.

One of the best version of The Joker. Other Jokers are just regular villains with madness, but this one is funnier and has some very cool clown-related superweapons/ gadgets.

literal kino

And what he didn't watch either of those? If we are arbitrarily throwing comparisons, why not?

It is my personal favorite Batman cartoon.
It revels in the goofiness of comic books instead of trying to be something else and it clearly loves its source material.
It is pretty controversial because it isn't trying to be BTAS like just about every other Batman cartoon.

I like that they really nailed down the Joker's terrible sense of humor.

His jokes are awful and corny, but the fact that he thinks they're great makes them hilarious.

But the fact that isn't BTAS makes it a better series.

In fact, I think it surpasses BTAS in many ways. It's definitely way more flexible in the story department.

Fun.

Hardcore fan circles downplayed it because "Not muh Batman!" (the series finale even calls them out on it) but it's legitimately a good show that's fun without talking down to the audience. Half the time it's not even about Batman, he's just an excuse to put other DC characters on TV through a team-up.

Silver Age fun.

Don't mind him. He takes every chance he gets to sperg out about the same complaint over and over.

>Half the time it's not even about Batman, he's just an excuse to put other DC characters on TV through a team-up.

That's really the true genius of the show: using Batman's star power to highlight the obscure parts of the DCU.

Green Arrow was pretty great, too.

This. It's not as batshit insane as Ninja, but not as socially conscious as Klansman.

It's fascinating because it just does whatever the hell it thinks would be cool. It's like watching the best Saturday morning cartoon ever made.

still surprising that they went with the golden age design rather than the much more iconic Neal Adams one

>It is pretty controversial because it isn't trying to be BTAS like just about every other Batman cartoon.

I acknowledge BTAS is important to the animation medium, but damn if I wish DC would give spotlight to more non-BTAS shows. Right now is the perfect time to exploit nostalgia towards shows like The Batman or Brave and the Bold. I'm surprised that Scooby-Doo crossover even got made.

I'm gonna start this soon. Still Watching btas on the app. Does anyone that has it know if you can remove comics you're currently reading? I like what they offer, but the app itself is designed and runs like garbage.

>Seriously, the musical sequences are worth watching for.

I'm still upset that Crisis on Infinite Earths musical never got made.

it was suppose to have an episode featuring Dream and Death of the Endless
don't know why that didn't happened, maybe Gaiman went against it

god i love Vigilante

I think he was probably okay with it. Maybe they just couldn't figure out the story. They had planned to adapt Animal Man's Coyote Gospel, but couldn't figure out how to work Batman into it.

>Animal Man's Coyote Gospel,
maybe it just felt too miserable and depressing
then again they did make that Doom Patrol episode...

Judging by the fact he was cool enough with Detctive Doctor Who Lucifer to do the voice of god, I'm going to agree.
Also Sandman Universe was made partially so other creators could 'play with his toys'.

Outrageous!

I believe another user put it best in a thread long ago that this show is "The Wacky World of DC Comics, presented by Batman."

Absolute fucking kino from beginning to end. It and BTAS are apples and oranges though.

Season 3 was where he truly shined

Outrageous!

Honestly I really didn't care for like, the whole first season. Loved the rest of it.

>the Sword of The Atom episode
>having two of the best musical numbers in the entire show, one of which was for the best opening sequence in the show

fpbp

Not too different from the original comics desu.

>the Sword of The Atom episode

I can honestly say that episode was way better than the arc it was based on.

Pretty much everyone on Yas Forums loves BatB. Of course, it was on TV back when the board was a lot less shitty.

BATB is the son of BTAS.

You could even say BATB was "born" with the TNBA episode "Legends Of The Dark Knight".

I don't like it. I don't care for "comedic" shows in any medium.

Sounds like autism.

I like a good mix.

>joker I can accept you killing my son but I can't accept you acting like a nigger

It was nice to see WB trust Raimi with their biggest property

Which is what the original Brave and the Bold comic was as well
