They still could’ve remained friends even if she didn’t remember

Just saying, they could’ve started over

I agree OP

i mean they could have, but the show ended.
On that episode if i remember right

After molesting one's father? I don't think there's any chance of coming back from that.

they were clearly going to go somewhere with this but then the show ended

>they were clearly going to explore further after telling the audience that sometimes things change and you have to move on, damn CN for cancelling it!!!

But they still could’ve been friends

a lot of shit was left unexplained. “lol i’m back now but also don’t remember you, this sure is a wacky mystery huh? well guess what, things change lmao who cares”

>GUYS WHO WAS RED X WHAT WAS IN THE BRIEFCASE IM LOSING MY MIND

>continue to associate with someone who reminds you of all the terrible shit you did and the life you desperately want to leave behind
No.

raven brainwashed BB with the power of juicy grey poosi

There are certain things that you don’t have to know in order to understand a story. Whatever’s in the briefcase was never important to understanding the story because it’s ultimately not /about/ the contents of the briefcase. In TT’s case, they just drop a mystery on you that IS the story of the episode, one in which something very specific and strange has happened, and the mystery isn’t ever resolved. Not that it has to be within a single episode, mind you, if you want to have it be a running storyline like Red X that’s fine. But it’s not unreasonable to assume they were planning to follow up on that in some way. I expected an eventual reveal with Red X as well.

It's hard getting back together with your ex-GF after sucking on her dad's cock.

The point is that she didn't want to be tangled up in the superhero life anymore. That's why she pushed him away even though she probably DID remember.

The entire fifth season of TT was unnecessary, even though I'm glad it introduced me to the Doom Patrol.

I always thought the "things change, you got to move on" was the show's way of saying it is going to be cancelled and you need to accept it.

Terra remembers, but wants to stay away from all the hero and villian stuff, being friends with any of them means getting back to all the troubles again

the trigun/apocalypse arc was a good point to end it

Trouble in Tokyo was bad and a very strange chronological sequel to the series

>character's fatal flaw is running from their problems and refusing to take accountability for their actions
>character arc concludes with them finally overcoming this
>...and then there's an epilogue where they're right back to doing it again, making the entire thing pointless
Thanks, I hate it.

I though this was going to be a Ctl+Alt+Del parody

Yeah that totally wouldn’t have been creepy or unhealthy.

This will literally be the only other thing Terra will be known for

coooooof

Ah, youve never been in a relationship before have you OP, thats the only way someone would think like this. Borderline cuck mentality.

>even if she didn’t remember
How dumb can you be?

He was giving off that creeper/stalker vibe the entire episode

She remembered. She just wanted to pretend that none if it happened and move on without having to face the consequences of her actions or any part of her old life. That's the point

>114048385
Some people don't actually change long term. Even if they should and they 'learn' to overcome it once or twice doesn't mean it'll always take.

>sometimes things don’t change
Well now we’re fucking up her character arc AND the entire theme of the episode. Doubly pointless.

She does remember. She just doesn't want to be a part of his life anymore. That was her refusing to go back to life of heroes and villains.

Fag

This. That green ass is Raven's property

she did remember

She literally branded it.

Is never the same user, once you feel something romantic and the other turn you down...is never the same

No it wouldn’t? Being friends is creepy and unhealthy?

One of the most bullshit things ever aired on tv.

>dude, I totally dont know you, I dont remember being your gf
>lol ok, I'll just absolutely give up, no biggie.

...Remaining friends with someone important to you is cuck mentality?

Dunno why they had to end the series on such a depressing note

she wanted to be normal and not involved with the superhero world in any way. Pretty rational considering she almost died

That doesn’t mean they couldn’t become friends

probably bring up too many bad memories if they were friends

The point of the episode is that Terra is shit and doesn't deserve BB. She fucked them over. She sided with their most hated enemy. She played pity party for herself despite the support of other superhuman friends. Sometimes you gotta move on from "friends" that'll drag you down especially when they have serious mental issues.

It's neither your nor Beastboy's decision to take. No is no.

She DID remember.
She just wanted to forget.
Beast boys just a reminder of another life that she doesn't wanna live anymore.

I mean, he could still let her know he’s still interested in being friends, you know? Just let her know sometimes

who says it was even meant to be the end

>Just let her know sometimes
Did you even watch that episode? He spend the whole thing stalking her and telling her that she's better tell him what he wants "or else". That's the whole plot.

>stalking
Did YOU watch the episode? She agreed to hang out with him and at the tower. Plus this was the same girl who thought he thought died but found alive, how would YOU feel in this situation? Just let it go and continue on.

>She agreed to hang out with him
No, he didn't let her chose, there was no aggreement. She answered him once, and he just hunted her like an animal for the rest of the episode. Every fucking tim she rejects him, he just says "that's not what I want to hear, so I'll continue until you say what I want", until the end and even then it's more about lacking time to finish the episode than him really accepting the status quo.

>he just hunted her like an animal

but thats his superpower

Why didn't he just beat the bad guy then take the other titans to see her its not like she was going anywhere?
Was Slade supposed to tie into her storyline in the final season or what

It was just lighting.

>Series episodes must have correct life lessons

It wasn't intended to go anywhere. It's a metaphor about the show ending. It's not even subtle.

Camp Camp made fun of this. Max opens a box and it's shinning, then Dolph grabs the flash light "Oh thanks, I need this." (German accent)

>shinning

You know, for all the kind of try-hard anime shit they were pulling for it, this was the only thing that made it feel like it was "anime" inspired to me back then. Not even the characters emoting all kawai desu ne

>kawai

>its not like

It's a pretty bad one as well. Honestly that Episode in General was.

I agree, kinda wish the Trigon arc was the Series Finale at times.

same, the movie also clearly took a lot from anime.

Kid Flash only good part of Season 5. Fans are clamoring for a season 6, but it'd be guaranteed to be shit.

I don't think it would be shit. Could it be? Yes. But i think 1-2 DTV Movies to wrap up the loose ends wouldn't have that problem.

The lessons don’t have to be “correct” and life applicable, but I don’t think it’s a wild expectation that they should properly execute whatever correct or incorrect lesson they’re going for.
If you name the episode Things Change, and have the characters hammer home the sentiment that things change a dozen times, having a character fall back into life-ruining old habits and in fact, not change at all, is a weird choice.
