Haven't seen the show but the comics were pretty good.
Inoffensive enough in retrospect, it’s annoying they out pete on a team but at least that team wasn’t just 4 other spider people.
Surprisingly low amount of porn
until he was
I liked its more positive take on the character. All the other cartoons are like: he's a loner whose uncle has died, and he has to cope with it by being a funny guy. Then has to hope his aunt doesnt get a heart attack, while maintaining his already fragile love life.
Here, he gets a new "amazing friends" team, a place in SHIELD and looks good riding a motorcycle when he wasnt supposed to

yeah but at least that was spiderverse bullshit. though I did just realize that on top of spiderverse being the 7th spider-man movie its also the 7th time that idea has been done, (the 90s show finale, the game and its sequel the comic and its sequel and this show)
Fuck it, and fuck Drake Bell. This shit is the reason why Spectacular Spider-Man was cancelled, and the reason why Josh Keaton's lines were dubbed over in Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
I only watched it for White Tiger and how well the animators really went to work on her bust in some scenes.
It was shit.
But they did for the final season. They pretty much wrote out the other teammates. I don't mind it, though. They were annoying.
Technically, the TASM movies were the reason Spectacular was canned. Sony gave away the TV rights in a desperate attempt to keep the movie rights.
Is bad.
not good.
>WHITE tiger
>revealed to be a delicious brown person
i love her too
I don't care if he's portrayed in a less angsty way, but the humor the series used sucked so much. Also, the team dynamics were so broken. They all hated each other and got in each others' way so much until the season finale, where they instantly became "family". It was like watching 2011 Thundercats and Legends of Korra all over again.
I never watched the show but did they ever do anything with her brother? Hector Ayala the original white tiger?
i only remember the Deadpool one. which sucked. He was just in the wrong cartoon because he couldnt kill anybody
>only watching a cartoon for one character
Zero taste.
I only saw the first season and hated it. All the characters were annoying assholes, the TT chibi and wacky faces jokes were cringy, and overall it was just badly written. Like the Venom episode.
Animation was good.
Heard it got better but didn’t see the later seasons.
I have some close family members that like this show the most for very shallow reasons. My sister likes it because of Drake Bell, my younger brother likes it because he casually watched it when he was little, and I'm pretty sure my mother would like it for featuring Phil Coulson and the MCU humor.
For a Spider-Man cartoon based around comedy, it doesn't hold a candle to Spider-Man (1981).
Interesting. Most people seem to like that one because the humor matched the character. I don't think I care for it, but it wasn't the worst episode either
Good animation, but horrible Peter Parker. He's supposed to be a smart guy and when he put on his mask he become very charismatic hero. Here he's just dumb kid, like very stereotypical main character of kids show - he's annoying, he's trying to be funny, he's envious, narcistic and braggart.
I even can't believe that they replaced spider sence with a fucking MONKEY SCREAM, what were they thinking? Overall it probably just ok show that use some comic book concepts.
It's the show that replaced Spectacular, so I'll always hate it.
Annoying but worth a single watch
11 years is a long time to hold a grudge. Quite unhealthy I'd say.
The first two seasons are good, they are trying to be their own thing and actually add stuff and do something different but web warriors and vs the sinister 6 are just an excuse to sell more toys with horrible story line and ignoring early plot threads
really? i feel like they held his character back so much because it was a kids cartoon. I guess i just liked Hulk vs and the Deadpool vidya so much
5-6/10. It's humor was hit or miss but when it missed it was pretty cringe ngl.
I really disliked how they handled most of the Spider-Man villains. Osborn was especially weak. Doc Ock was the only cool one, which is something that I guess continued in the newer 2017 series.
I couldn't make it out of the first season. God, all the shitty cutaway gags and toilet humor...even the flashbacks are annoying. What an unpleasant experience it was.
Early seasons were terrible, quality greatly improved in the last two or three seasons.
I unironically liked their take on Deadpool.
""""Humor"""" and making half a dozen copies of Spider-Man and clear marketing of dumb toys made this show insufferable
i was able to tone out the terrible cutaway gags. it often goes full retard, but it has its moments.
Just a cheap kids show.
It was bad. The humour and cut-away gags were ridiculously Childish and stupid.
White Tigress was hot though. Pity they did nothing with her.
Like Into the Spiderverse, overly reliant on 4th wall breaks and meme humor. I like that Spider-Man is basically B-Tier in this series but he's way too obnoxious to the audience. All seasons are bad.
It was the first animated spiderman cartoon where they really tried to shill toys for kids. Of course every cartoons is trying to do it, but they did so blutantly.
I still think the most toyetic recent animation besides this series is those Batman Unlimited movies.
>Good animation
People really need to stop confusing detailed character designs with good animation.
>into the spider-verse
>4th wall breaks
>meme humor
???? what ???
Did you not watch the movie?
Not that user, but I did. It had none of those things.
Are you sure you're not thinking about this show's Spider-Verse four-parter?
It did. Do you even know what a 4th wall break is?
Someone on the production team must have had a body swap fetish because there were a lot of those.
Just eh, not terrible, not great, probably one of the better entries of that MCU-ish cartoon universe they made around that time.
It's ironically a way better MCU Spider-man then the actual MCU Spider-man
Yas Forums hates it because it was different
no, becuase it sucked
*monkey sqaw!*
The only jokes that fall into that category are the minute long intro scenes, and the only ones that were played as jokes were hobo Peter's and the simultaneous intro.
How? Are you saying this because of your 4channel programming that forces you to be contrarian?
So there were 4th wall breaks. Every character talked to the audience about their background story with a comic shown.
I think it's based on comparing with the recent Spider-Man cartoon
Newsflash retard, I'm not that asshole.
And the movie didn't rely on those jokes or "meme" humor.
Judging by how you were wrong about the 4th wall breaks I think it's safe to say that you're talking shit because you can't stand that your kiddy movie may get critizised.
Yeah, because it's impossible that more than one person disagreed with you.
You know what bothers me about USM. You have a teenage Spider-Man on a team with a teenage Luke Cage and you don't ever once consider bringing in Jessica Jones/Jewel.
does anyone not see the wasted potential there, she was a classmate of Peter's too in the comics.
>she was a classmate of Peter's too in the comics.
And they never interacted
I accept your concession
Go fuck yourself
