Adult Swim April Fools

We are about 8 and a half hours away from the prank. Final predictions? Toonami kinda got a prank on Saturday with that Rick and Morty samurai thing

its a gematsu machu pichu prequel

Surely they aren’t going to do the same unfunny thing again, right?

how many years in a row did they do the room?

They have C Martin Croker’s corpse host the line up

>gmp
>unfunny
it was kino and better than all of rick and morty

What does hulu live say? They leaked it past 2 years

trademark.trademarkia.com/gemusetto-death-beats-88828419.html

its a new gemusetto

When it aired last year, all people did was shit on it. What’s with the huge increase in shills for it in the past month.

List 3 things about it that were actually funny. Hardmode - no one liners

people loved it if you were in the threads they shit on it for the first hour and then realized the kino

AS sunk a boatload into the show despite it just being a gag. They probably have the Rick and Morty shill squad working overtime on this to make sure people tune in so they recoup some losses

Was the Toonami one actually a prank or just a poor use of money that happened to be ready the week before April Fools?

Mix of both probably. I can only imagine the reason the block has been so barren this year was all the money went to DEEN

I liked how the intro got progressively better animation.
I liked the part where they talked about bible black and this one porn star whose name I can't remember.
I liked how they hired some gay guy to do a voice and left the part where he said not put him into a stereotypical gay role but did it anyway.
Honestly I hated it at first but it grew on me. Maybe it's like Stockholm syndrome.

I tapped out after 30 minutes, maybe i missed a treasure

There's definitely things to love about it, like the openings, the peruvian lore exposition, the different art style switches and the live action toy commercials.

It really did suck for the first hour or so

New Rick & Morty episode is suddenly paused ~5 seconds in and replaced by TruthPoint.

Make it happen

>Toonami kinda got a prank on Saturday with that Rick and Morty samurai thing
Would you really consider that a prank?

Oh my god that shit sucked. Literally just "ha ha redundant sentence in a monotone delivery" over and over again.

Demarco spent a year and a sizable chunk of the budget on it. Pretty sick joke.

A year for that?

That only covers tonight, sometimes they do 2 days.

A whole fucking year.

for 5 mins of shitty cgi?

With trips back and forth from Atlanta to Japan. One of the "little surprises" he's mentioned. A year and tens of thousands of dollars.

That's only because of Rick and Morty™ . The first year they did that they just wanted to promote season 4, and the second year they wanted to troll fans that expected the same thing to happen with Bushland Adventures. I doubt we're going to see anything like that again.

Imagine begging DEEN to make something.

Whata wrong with deen

They made Bomberman Jetters.

Maybe he secured Konosuba while he was there

i wish
crunchyroll has the dub rights
remember crunchyroll?
that company toonami supposedly has a partnership with?

1-hour premier/pilot episode for G:KND

thats just to throw us off the trail

3 shows back to back called "708", "Swim" and "Fun". So prepare for something fishcam related.

all night marathon of fishcenter live
I FUCKIN KNEW IT

i tried paying more attention to the first part during reruns but it still seems genuinely worse than the rest.

This thread is full of seething ballmunchers

Honestly the most expected result. Would technically be a prank, and probably all they could do if they had to lay off people because of the lockdown. Still sucks though. I liked that one user's idea about doing regular programming but adding a coughing and sneezing track over it.

Didn't they already do that a few years ago

They've done something similar before. I don't think they're going to cop out like that.

They've also put up fake listings to fool people.

It could also be that it's some sort of call-in show (as the Fishcenter # is the general public call-in number for any livestreams)

It could be a number of things

ustvgo.tv/cartoon-network/

Stream for those of you without cable

Kind of. They did an ATHF marathon and added coins that the characters could touch, which apparently what they do on the cam? I've never seen it.

I never know with AS anymore. I just hope they actually have found a way to workaround the hulu live leaking. I love being surprised, and it's so hard to come by in today's day and age.

adult swim 2.0 - drunk idiots call in to comment live on whatever show is on, like G4's "2.0" shows that had on-screen text chat

oh shit home movies is on

I was here for the 2016 prank where they did nothing. It was hilarious. The best part was there was so many people watching and in the threads.

He has no excuses at this point. Please just do it.

Only year they advertised April Fools' too. So obvious in retrospect.

thanks user, you're based

sling's just showing robot chicken and ATHF

I hadn't watched TV in awhile when I was watching that night and they played the same phone commercal a million fucking times and it had some Miku song. I did get a good laugh. I think there was even still a good bit of people at 3 AM still hoping they'd do something. It was still nice to stay up and watch toons with you guys though.
I knew that year it was literally going to be nothing because of the promos.

Weird. The official AS schedule on their website says differently.

Get filtered, pleb

Home movies is like the most boring, unfunny show ever
What is the appeal

Yeah, I don't want the season premiere of gematsu machu pichu to be the new "The Room" for Adult Swim's plans for April Fools Day

It's comfykino, especially the first season.

Ballmasterz season three is slated, and is a giant movie. They fight aliens, meet new beings, and solve the mysteries of the universe. The animation is great, all the characters get showtime, and it is just all around amazing.

The final happens. Right before it ends Rick comes out of the blue and asks Crazar why his Ai was malfunctioning. It turns out he made Crazar with the explicit purpose of making the game because he got in a argument with Jerry on why soccer is stupid and how he could make a better game.

Comprehensive Adult Swim April Fools Prank history:

>2004:
All of the regularly scheduled episodes were aired with random mustaches drawn on the characters; however, the next night the episodes were aired again this time without the random mustaches.

>2005:
Adult Swim aired an early, unfinished version of Squidbillies, instead of Robot Chicken.

>2006:
Adult Swim aired old re-runs of Mr. T and Chuck Norris: Karate Kommandos, and then aired episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist and Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex with fart noises added to the dialog.

>2007
On March 31, Adult Swim aired every episode of Perfect Hair Forever in reverse order. The episodes were digitally degraded to look like several generations-old videotapes with grammatically incorrect subtitles in Engrish. At one point, the subtitles shown on screen were actually for an Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode.
On April 1, Adult Swim had been advertising that it would be airing Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters in its entirety on April Fools' Day. Technically, they made good on their promise by showing the first two minutes (which had long been available on the movie's website) full-screen and the entire rest of the film in a very small picture-in-picture window with its sound played over SAP over regular programming of Futurama, Family Guy, and other Adult Swim originals.

>2008:
Adult Swim aired a night of unfinished sneak peeks of future upcoming shows and random pilots in place of their typical programing.

>2009:
Adult Swim aired The Room, rated TV-14-DLSV (with the extended sex scenes obscured with black boxes.)

>2010:
Adult Swim re-aired The Room for a second year in a row, with bumps featuring Tommy Wiseau being interviewed on Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Sex scenes remained censored, but the parental rating was raised to TV-MA.

>2011:
The Room was aired once again with the TV-MA rating and was followed by a 15-minute special titled Earth Ghost, a CGI version of the Lowe Country pilot that was a web exclusive on the Adult Swim Fix in 2007.

>2012:
Adult Swim replaced its lineup with Toonami. After first playing the opening sequence of The Room, the scene switched to the Toonami host TOM noting that it was April Fools' Day before introducing that week's scheduled episode of Bleach. The Toonami bumps and programming would continue throughout the night, featuring Dragon Ball Z, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki, Outlaw Star, The Big O season 1, YuYu Hakusho, Blue Submarine No. 6, Trigun, Astro Boy, and Gigantor. T.O.M. also presented a review of Mass Effect 3 and promoted the recent DVD releases of the series featured. Subsequently, on May 16, Adult Swim announced that Toonami would return to Adult Swim on May 26, 2012 as a regular weekly Saturday night programming block.

>2013:
Adult Swim featured images of cats throughout much of its programming. All of the bumps contained videos and images of cats, while the episodes of the live action shows aired that night had cat faces covering up the faces of the actors. The [adult swim] logo was replaced with "[meow meow]".

>2014:
Adult Swim premiered an eighth episode of Perfect Hair Forever, seven years following the series finale. This was followed by an unannounced Space Ghost Coast to Coast marathon featuring creator-chosen episodes (including the full version of "Fire Ant", which has rarely been shown on TV). During the marathon, bumps were included between episodes showing outtakes and commentary from the writers and staff. The entire stunt was replayed the following day on AdultSwim.com

>2015:
Adult Swim aired a marathon of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, featuring a version of the "Coin Hunt" game from Adult Swim's online Fish Center program.

>2016:
Ads were shown for the April Fools broadcast, recapping their 12-year history of pranks and hyping up that year's prank. When midnight did occur, regular programming played, with the prank for 2016 being that there was no prank at all.

>2017:
On March 31, all of the regularly scheduled episodes were aired, but this time, the voice switching gimmick was used in which the proper voices for those shows were replaced with alternate speaking voices, laugh tracks, robotic voices, and other voices along with various sound effects.
On April 1, in another rare two joke-fer, the evening portion of Adult Swim was replaced with the first episode of Rick and Morty's third season unannounced, the first Season 3 episode "The Rickshank Redemption" aired repeatedly until midnight.

>2018:
The night of March 31st, Adult Swim stealth premiered the first episode of FLCL: Alternative in Japanese, with English subtitles, followed by the film Mind Game, also in Japanese with English subtitles. TOM and Sara's spoken dialogue was also dubbed into Japanese, including a review of the game Nier: Automata.
The following night, in yet another rare two joke-fer, Adult Swim aired normally until 11:00 p.m. when it started airing a animated parody of Rick and Morty titled "Bushworld adventures", created by Michael R. Cusack. It looped three more times until midnight, pre-empting Rick and Morty and two Mike Tyson mysteries reruns in the process. All of Adult Swim's nature-themed bumpers that aired throughout the hour were Australian themed. This special short was also simulcasted on a loop in a marathon stream on adultswim.com all night.

>2019:
Regular programming was replaced, beginning at midnight, with the debut of Gemusetto Machu Picchu, a 6-hour-long anime parody. It was also simulcast online at AdultSwim.com.

wow imagine outing yourself as a brainlet and having shit taste. what are you doing here besides trying to gather edge internet fringe points for timblr and twattr

>with its sound played over SAP
did anyone record this in its entirety?

the entire thing, the toy commercials, the canon stable time loop, the flash backs to past sports related mythological relic acquisitions, god of pedophilia, metal gear solid reference, "hey mom look at this thing I made" 'it's not for me but I'm glad you-' "mom how did you like the joke about..."
