This show is such a grate. I remember renting the Digimon VHS when I was a kid and loving the movie even though it was completely uncomprehensible. But Angela Anaconda would come on and do her annoying bit before every viewing my siblings and I ever had.

Debatable, she always looked for the worst in everything and took real and imagined slights or slips to their extremes in her head but the show makes a point that in the contrast of real life she almost silently takes things in stride.

Meanwhile others around her spoke and acted openly indifferent to the effect it caused.
So, she's not actually toxic even if spiteful, if you met someone like her in real life she'd just seem quietly smug at worst, but she also often did try to do good by her circle or stand with them even if she didn't come out on top for it so.

Weird, on the first glimpse, i thought she was the model angela anacondas face was based on.
What if she heard as a kid she looks like angela, she was a good, strong female character, so she became this obsessive with this series.
Besides can we acknowledge that there were always strong female characters, like Buffy, Daria and Kim Possible. Just because they wernt so many of them, they got better quality than boys action cartoons!

Not likely, but the thing about properties, especially in this age of reboots and sequels and internet trends, is they can suddenly generate interest if the right e-celebs promote it.

If they sold all of it licenses to her for a half a pack of gum and some reviewer made its views, downloads and purchases of its media and merch sky rocket over night they'd be kicking themselves since they can't cash in on it then, can't springboard off it to make more material and she can likely sell it back to them or someone else for much more.

If tv is posting there, then for all intents and purposes the comments are disabled.

I watched in on Kablam and then when she had her own show, but quickly learned it wasn't very good and would constantly watch something else.
The fact that she's the reason the digimon movie can't get a re-release pisses me off. I have a copy but a updated version would be nice.

I honestly don't know why she would think they would entrust the Angela Anaconda property to her.

That's a pretty neat comparison. Tomoko is a way, WAY more of a toxic character though. Both have a vengeful, spiteful streeks but Tomoko is clearly suffers from severe depression while Angela is much more chemically balanced. It goes to show that you don't have to make a character a good person to be relatable. I was pretty much Tomoko through all of gradeschool and highschool, I was a pretty shitty person, bottom of the totem pole and was dangerously depressed. Years later I was so ashamed of my past self and then seeing this show I cringed so hard but at the same time it showed me that I wasn't alone, not even close, and that many people go through the same things and maybe most importantly, that it wasn't all my fault and in many ways the chemical imbalance in my brain was just the cards that I was dealt. I think it's the same with Angela Anaconda and a lot of other people just of a different flavor.
