Can we have a thread dedicated to children’s graphic novels/Scolastic books? Stuff like, Diary of a Wimpy kid, Cleopatra in space, etc.

I don't wanna live in this nightmare
If we do, I want links to Raina Telgemeier's stuff. I have a CBZ of "Guts" but I know that "Drama" was storytimed, which means something of that exists but I don't have it. And I'd like her other stuff if that exists as well.
Please? Pretty please?
We've been known to do that sort of thing once and a while.
I don’t have that
>CAN WE TALK ABOUT THINGS NEITHER COMICS NOR CARTOONS, I WANT TO BE A NOSTALGIAFAGGOT
no
Graphic novels counts as Comics
I recently found my copies of the first 4 Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and have been thinking about reading through them again.
>CAN WE TALK ABOUT THINGS NEITHER COMICS NOR CARTOONS
>children’s graphic novels/Scolastic books
Graphic novels are not comics?
But they have pictures and words
Do comics not have pictures? Do comics not have words?
Wasn’t there a thread that storytimed Drama?
There was, but it didn't have a download link unlike the thread which storytimed "Guts".
Which reminds me, I also want "Smile" as well.
Amelia Bedelia is just Humanized Emmy
>implying Emmy was written before the 60's
I'm sure you mean Emmy is roboticized Amelia Bedelia.
But all jokes aside, both characters have their own cute quirks, and comparing them does them both a disservice.
>Amulet book 8 released 2 years ago.
>still waiting for someone to scan the pages and pirate it.
also i'm pretty sure nikki is a brunette
I know I’m just kidding. Emmy is a qt
>there are 14 diary of a wimpy kid books
How?
Money my friend
Ex-bookstore Employee here, they sell like fucking hotcakes, man. Kids books are often like that. If something gets popular, all the parents buy it for their kids, hoping to encourage them to read.
You guys ready for the final book?
I assume there's also the collectionist urge to 'complete the set' once one has started buying something.
Anybody have any Dork Diaries fanart?
Oh, naturally. Gift sets and collected editions are also great sellers.
Wow, I’m honestly surprised there’s fanart of Dear Dumb Diary. Junie B was my shit as a kid, though. Jim > May. Also what the hell happened to Grace?
how are these? the cartoon was fun, but i don't know if i could read 6 graphic novels worth of it.
I read the first 2 books and it was a comfy read. If you already watch the show I recommend reading it
I've gotten into this series because of the cartoon and I honestly prefer this. I'm excited.
I wonder how the rest of the series will turn out if they only made 26 episodes and they're all in the can already. Will it have the same ending?
Less humor, more story driven. Cleopatra is more serious, villian more threatening and less Saturday morning cartoon villian.
Is there art of a Dork's Diary?
Not bloody likely
I liked the Goosebumps Graphix series.
why the redhead became a fish girl in the cartoon?
I had a crush on Junie B Jones
fuck i was thinking baout these the other day i had two of them they had 3 stories in each book
wish i never left them at my mums so they didnt get thrown away
how do the diary of a wimpy kid books hold up?
Is that what I think it is on the pic?
Anyone got recommendations? What are the kids reading these days?
the best
With a shelf.
My niece is into this Ada Twist: Scientist series.
Based and Tra-la-lapilled
Somehow I missed the show was based on a comic. Looks pretty nice.
I should have expected this, really I should have
I wish Monster Blood had an adaptation
The way Andy was described she was basically my dream girl as a kid (cute tomboy in spandex) and the live action version and the trading cards did NOT do her justice
Wow, I felt the exact same way about Andy in Monsster Blood, just was too young to properly understand it
Point your butt in my direction and keep scrubbing the floor.
I can hardly find any good fanart of her either
It hurts bros
You know at some point buying it becomes a better option,
Looks cute.
>greg heffley
damn, Greg looks like that???
dork diaries is based
That series is for troglodytes
>red head
>green eyes
>first crush
I still got great taste in girls.
Cringe
pre comic and movie Ender's Game fanart shouldnt make sense, but it does to me
>There's never been a Boxcar Children/Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys/Encyclopedia Brown animated series.
Why live?
>That poor shit
Real niggas were all about American Girls, son.
underaged namefags and phoneposters have no right to post here
>No Hash
I'm you and I'm a faggot
Are you sure about that?
That's pretty based.
unequivocally based
So what’s the consensus on the Captain Underpants books, particularly the last one?
I remember reading all the books up until the first Tinkletrousers one, but I missed out on the last few.
I then saw Yas Forums was doing a story time thread of all the books a few years back, and I remember being really disappointed with the finale. It just felt so anticlimactic.
Yes, the books were always more about George and Harold than Captain Underpants himself, but for the titular character, he really didn’t do much for the grand finale. He might as well not have been there at all. I just thought the character send off was so lame.
You know, some would say there's something wrong with the character not having anything to say about finding out his future self is gay, but at the same time given all this other stuff he and his best friend have seen over the course of the series, Harold was probably just too fried to care. Plus they went to the future, odds are they could go back next week to the same future date and see that their future selves are enslaved by a race of radioactive space diapers who force them to mine urinal cakes
Fucking Swamp Kid! Best thing to come out of DC's kid label by far.
>Why yes I am a coomer, how could you tell?
