I know you guys are trying to damage control by saying it's "decent" or fulfilling, but to be honest, that was extremely underwhelming.

>Another Steven Universe thread

We have many threads about the edning being bad

>it's a bad ending because they didn't give me what I wanted
based retard

Attached: 1575119124193.png (246x340, 127.44K)

No, I’m disagreeing with your opinion, not playing damage control.

Why can't you accept it's bad? I'm not calling it anything. It's just bad. Plain and simple.

>It's just bad. Plain and simple
nice brainlet critique

I'm not one of those retards expecting a DBZ fight, but they could add more impact instead of a deadbeat filler epiosde about Steven packing up his stuff and saying goodbye for 10 minutes. For fuck's sake that's supposed to be the final episode.

I don't critique with faggots.

the ending was Steven's friends coming together to help him just like he did for them in the past, it's a full circle.

the last epilogue was more of an epilogue. level with us, user. did you want a timeskip?

>the last epilogue
lol *episode

Attached: 1554983668920.png (480x357, 227.68K)

a timeskip would be okay, even if they would end the show with the kaiju episode would be more fitting and impactful. this felt like they've got no ideas and just made a filler ending episode in a rush. that was plain disrespectful both to the fans and to your own show.

It was fine. The finale to the main series was so good and movie great that I’m not mad the epilogue was just okay.

It was but I expected to absolutely hate it, and I really didnt. It just made me feel nothing.
The only really shitty part is how they absolutely fucked over Jasper after killing and reviving her.
I dont understand how Rebecca thought her fans would be satisfied with that shit.

Attached: 1515880294298.png (1280x1421, 341.98K)

I don't need to justify shit, I thought it was decent enough but I would've been happier with more action the I Am My Monster. It's a solid 7-8/10.

*in

Least she's at Little Homeworld as opposed to the woods again. THAT would've been shitty.

SUF really was a mistake. No one would disagree if they would finish with the movie. But now Steven Universe will only be remembered with it's sloggish filler last episode.

Still It really wasn't what-the-fuck-nefcy-tier ending as was in Star, but felt really bland despite watching Steven since it's first episode.

Sugar is only giving more hope by leting us think like "wow what a shitty ending, I'm sure there's a sequel coming after that, I mean, this seriously can't be an ending, they didn't even sing an ending song, right"?

The episode people were fucking bawling their eyes out over? That one? I Am My Monster may have been underwhelming but you've naive if you think people didn't like The Future.

Even die-hard sufags in the wiki are dissapointed at the ending. I don't think anyone enjoyed it but people will have to grow themselves to like as they did with Change Your Mind.

Unless we're gonna have a sequel as the rumors say, this is the end. And a pretty shitty one to honestly say.

>Could've ended the show with a James Baxter animated finale
>Instead it's just a gay hug with a pink kaiju cock

>because they didnt give me what i wanted
But they didnt give anything in the ending, the only thing close to a conclusion for a character was Steven going away

You say Kaiju cock like it’s a bad thing

Well, I mean, James Baxter animation is sexier.

Seems like it was about on-par with the rest of the show - bland, disappointing, and anticlimactic.

It's bad because Steven MURDERED someone and instead of taking responsibility for his actions, he cries, gets hugged and all is magic.

This is the most disrespectful shit ever.
Not only you're using a meme site for mocking 2 people's look.
But you're assuming that that joke site is a reliable source for how a kid may look like despite you putting the faces of 2 adults in it, of course 2 adults don't make the look of a baby
And not only you're being a lookist, but also a casual racist.
One thing is saying their cartoons are bad, the other, and it's worse on every sides, it's mock them for being not attractive for you and for this society's standards, and then there is the worst of the worst that is assuming their children would be abo*inations just and only for their look.
Don't be mean like this and you will be beautiful, because you're acting like an ugly person

I think the fact a season the original creator wasn't planning on having is getting this many people riled up shows it's a good nerve hitter.

And the worst part is, this bitch never even confirmed this to be the fucking final stop for this shit, we're all still in limbo.

I didn't have any specific expectations, all I wanted was for it to be good, and it wasn't, so yes it's bad.

okay this is the second time it's been brought up but it seemed more like she was waiting for Steven to make her entrance because she already heard he was leaving and wanted to make her pitch to go with him
No way she sticks around little homeworld for more than a week after he's gone. She's gonna follow his tire tracks and keep watch over him from a distance

>see a Jew post a Jew

He fixed it all and Jasper doesn’t particularly care about dying

>don’t get what I want
>opinion is it’s bad
No shit?

Filler season*

Isn’t this offtopic since it has nothing to do with SU?

It's bad everyone knows it, let people cope in peace

Nobody believe this except the trolls that didn’t watch the show

Yes.

that statement is extremely fucked up and exactly why its worrying.

The biggest issue I have with it is that they fixed everything off-screen. I get that the hug didn't erase his PTSD away but why the fuck did they skip ALL the time Steven did work on himself and with others? It cheapens everything Future did because its 19 episodes of setup and 1 of payoff. They set up way too many fucked up stuff that is never answered. Stevens issues with his family, dealing with the murder of Jasper/ attempted murder of WD, his relationship with Connie, his ptsd, his feelings of worthlessness, etc. All of that is fixed off-camera and we are supposed to be satisfied with it?
Even if I actually gave a shit about anything that happened before the way it ends completely kills what they were trying to do. If anything I'm glad I didn't care for it, because if I loved it I would have been crushed.

>Least she's at Little Homeworld as opposed to the woods again. THAT would've been shitty.
No, because at least it would make sense. Why the fuck is she in Little Homeschool? The fucking time skip robs us from learning how she was convinced to go there. And her appearance in it is super shallow. This user here even thinks she just came to bid him goodbye and is now gone. The writers have confirmed she is living there now, but it just shows you how awful that cameo was that people really think shes not there.

Attached: future writer.png (865x328, 71.85K)

Still eternally confused on how far reaching of an NDA or what personal reasons there is for her to not be able to explain shit.

In a perfect world, she means Rebecca has more plans for that character, but it has been 8 years. Bitch had all the time in the world to treat that character well and she fucked it up.
Maybe she's talking about the end of an era artbook where there might be unused ideas, with probably 10 pages on Jasper shit they never did that will make her fans even madder.

Attached: ETmfHKDUUAApmTu.jpg (976x1200, 295.98K)

If the book is their way of explaining to us 'look at all the shit we didn't put in the show!' and think it makes everyone NOT want another season or series to work with, they're going to be sorely mistaken.

It'll still make me sadder

look anyone who watches this show and believes they understand whats going on is only watching because its a spread LGBT, SJW paint job. Any person who not *woke* watches and bashes it, needs to understand it was only made for gays, normal should not bother with it or its STD community

She got 4 episodes in Future alone, screentime was never the issue with Jasper, it was always Becky wanting her to suffer more and more, she never gets to heal for as long as she suffers. In both "happy endings" CYM and The Future, she is reduced to 30 second roles

Better than what we could have gotten.
Worse than what we expected.

My biggest issue with the ending how unnecessary it was, not just the ending but the entire Steven Universe Future Season. The whole season is just the show wearing out it’s welcome. The main story is over, Steven redeemed the meanie gems (dem diamond bitches), everything has been fixed so to go from an actual engaging story, even if flawed, to just focusing on Steven’s dumbass teenage personal problems and his sudden PTSD is just plain self indulgent. Speaking of which, where did PTSD shit even come from? He spent the entire past show playing a super happy-go-lucky kid that’s always trying to get everyone to play nice; never once did he show to be in distress due to the events occurring around him. And now, probably because Rebecca and the crew ran out of ideas, Steven is given PTSD as a plot point to drive the remainder of the series. What the ever loving fuck?! It’s funny really, real fucking comedic, wanna hear a joke? People are seriously comparing this to fucking Evangelion. THATS STOOPID! What I liked about Evangelion is how the events that occurred in the series actually effected Shinji, Shinji didn’t stay sad, happy or sad, his emotions were varied depending on what was going on in the story, it was a plot driven show as much as it was a character driven anime.
I don’t mind Rebecca and the gang trying to expand the story but it’s how you do it. Take Gurren Lagan, it skipped a bunch of years into the future but didnt focus on the main character’s issues, it instead expanded on the story, and that’s what this show should have been

Joy Ride, The Test, Storm in the Room, Mindful Education, Adventures In Light Distortion, Full Disclosure, Lion 4: Alternate Ending

Bruh in all the examples you posted Steven goes to back to being the happy optimistic fat munchkin he always is, or used to be.....I guess. In each example he faced his challenges and moved on, unrealistic sure but I don’t get butthurt about it until you decide to give him PTSD for no reason other than you don’t know what else to do with him. It’s funny because Rebecca herself support my argument. Regarding the episode The Test, Sugar said that Steven forgave the lyin cunt gems instead of getting angry at them because he saw that it was more important to keep them happy and to get himself all angry. Which is unrealistic, and boring, but fine whatever it’s ok. Just don’t make him into a Shinji Ikari-rip-off, and have us focus on his own personal problems, because it’s self indulgent and small potatoes compared to the original and more engaging story. What they should have done is something along the lines of Gurren Lagan, where they focus on the characters in the future but add a new story, possibly one tied to the original, WHICH WAS WHAT THE FUCKING STEVEN UNIVERSE MOVIE WAS, Jesus Christ

the ending is kinda expected if you watch the show

Agreed. They should've had several episodes of cooldown and actual healing.

The part where everyone started crying blaming themselves for turning Steven into a monster made me cringe so hard it felt like my face was going to fall off.

That soured everything that came after for me.

Attached: 1542502713409.jpg (1200x681, 72.38K)

The ending made sense for the series...but we had to see this clown fest of a season. The final episode is so self-contained that you can just watch it and pretend FUTURE doesn't exist.

Even as someone who liked “I Am My Own Monster” I did laugh at how it essentially became “Crying Lesbian Rocks” at that scene.

>Isn’t this offtopic since it has nothing to do with SU?
How so? The creator of SU has nothing to do with SU? Are you purposefully stupid.

>get himself all angry. Which is unrealistic, and boring, but fine whatever it’s ok. Just don’t make him into a Shinji Ikari-rip-off, and have us focus on his own personal problems, because it’s self indulgent and small potatoes compared to the original and more engaging story.

Steven's story IS the original story you retard. The sci-fi shit was the backdrop, it was always about Steven first and foremost. Also look up the term stepford smiler because you're really embarrassing yourself with these try-hard posts and attempts at deconstructing something you don't even fully understand

I kinda agree with this, the whole PTSD thing felt kinda forced, like it was there just to explain why Steven's powers were going crazy, but we already know that Steven's opwers are based on his emotionional state so kinda unnecesary. Also the whole thing was dropped afterwards, like we don't see Steven trying to confront his fears by trying to get closer to the diamonds.

Also the part when everyone was crying and blaming themselves for Steven's emotional state was also kinda stupid, implying that Steven never had someone to help him with his issues, but you can't help people who don't want to be helped.
