>stop using the standard attacks, use the unorthodox
Stop using the standard attacks, use the unorthodox
>*helicopters out of the fight*
Isn't Dooku's weird pistol grip solely because Christopher Lee refused to learn a new fighting style and insisted upon using his fencing skill?
That seems to be hearsay.
>tfw thinking about the absolute fucking garbage being made today
Yeah, and it was cool as fuck.
I feel like it was more like Christopher Lee went "hey I know how to fence already" and they figured it was easier to modify his lightsaber than put him through unnecessary training
No.
He didn't refuse. He already knew how to fence and they built his lightsaber around that. Besides, the way it's shaped means it could be used either way. Further up requires more arm movement. Further back means more control through the wrist.
>master fencer already
>stealth killed nazis in the war
>descended from royalty
Lee was so fucking based.
>tfw Blu Ray release never ever
>He already knew how to fence and they built his lightsaber around that.
I think Darth Maul having a dual-lightsaber was from a similar reasoning, so I'd believe that.
TCW was the beginning of the end.
>Just want to see Live Action clone wars
>We'll never get it
But user, you should be happy Ahsoka and Sabine are getting their own animated series later this year!
dont forget
>heavy metal singer at 90yo
fuck off retard
The whole fight between Dooku and Anakin/Obi-wan in the Ep.3 novel was peak kino. Entirely from his perspective.
Nope
Its depressing that they're giving the wrong characters stories they dont need
He also played Dracula once
He played Dracula like 5 times.
Nice argument dumbnuts.
>Knew Ian Flemming and inspired James Bond
>Plays the villain in a Bond film
There will only ever be one Christopher Lee, we were lucky to have him
Was dope. Really wish there was more of that than Muh dragon, Muh shadow.
When I found out Christopher Lee died I wasn't sad at all, because I knew he had lived the best life it was possible for a person to live. Some people, when they die, you're sad because they had a sad life or they missed out on fulfilling their potential. Christopher Lee is the total opposite of that. I'm not sure anyone in the last 100 years had as full and meaningful of a life as he did. So it really didn't feel all that sad when he finally died.
>killed nazis
Cringe and blue pilled
This doesn't make any sense. Actual fencing grips are all straight. And this is true of most swords. Whether you use your wrist or your arm tends to come down to the type of blade the weapon has.
IIRC the original double bladed lightsaber design was about the same length as a normal lightsaber. Ray Park pointed out that would be stupidly dangerous to the wielder, but if you lengthened it you could do more stuff with it, since he was a legit martial artist.
I hate you so much it's insane. CW was based. Genndy is based.
Christopher Lee was alpha as fuck
Follow your leader.
TCW wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't insist on him losing every single fight unless he cheated. I know what Lucas had in mind but fucks sake.
>that picture
You see curved grips in sport fencing. I think some even have a little thing to grab with your index to make holding it less straining on your wrist
Have you seen olympic foils? They hold them at almost 90 degrees
Like a finger ring? Those are common in swords too. But fair on the sport fencing grips. I'd never seen non-straight grips, but apparently epees and foils usually don't, but then, I don't watch or practice fencing.
The curved grips are to have less stress on the wrist.
This is because sports fencing is entirely about speed and accuracy.
>Grievous looks progressively more depressed as he gets to the part of the series where he becomes a jobber
He knew.
The series was constantly shitting on every character who wasn't Republic aligned or an OC Donut Steel. "Character development for everyone" my fucking ass, Dooku and Grievous needed it the most and look at where we are now.
>the inhaler
kek
>Amazing, you can pinpoint the exact moment that his character becomes JUST
Damn, Asajj used to be cute.
Even then, the double blade style limits you a lot because your restricted to only so many angles and approaches. It's not like a normal staff/polearm weapon because 2/3 of it is a dangerous blade you can't touch and you can't block with the handle because another lightsaber will just slice right through it.
>used to
>Tfw the novels explained why Windu could do this and nobody else could
Pretty neat.
I thought he didn't do most of his fights.
Yes, used to.
I swear, Grievous better appears in this last season. You can't have the end of the Clone Wars without motherfucking General Grievous, EVEN if it has to be Lucas Grievous.
Post yfw they make a point of Grievous being a threat the Jedi care about in Episode III by having him go nuclear in the final season and slaughtering dozens of jedi in a single battle.
He doesn't
Would have in the Utapau Crystal Crisis storyline but he's the same as usual in that
But they cut that arc from this last run of episodes and he doesn't appear in any of the rest unless there's a surprise in Siege of Mandalore
He's been done for a long time
Didn't George Lucas purposefully neuter Grievous because he was upset Grievous beat Vader in some poll about peoples' favorite Star Wars villains?
Doubt it. Genndy simply didn't realize what George's vision was and went hogwild in his usual fashion
Absolutely wrong. EU Grievous was the original vision of the character, more than anything because it was Lucas who wanted Grievous to be introduced in the series that way to begin, and why it was consistent onwards season 3.
Why?
Apparently Jedi powers require you to be focused and level-headed, and the Jedi were so fucking scared of Grievous they couldn't bring themselves to exert the amount of force power it required to crush his armor, which was apparently really strong.
Mace Windu wasn't afraid of Grievous at all.
They didn't have a complete character when they were making the first part, so they went with what Lucas gave them wich was "A jedi killing cyborg", that was before lucas decided what he wanted to do with the character.
>normie coffee meme
Yikes
>didn't realize
It's worse than that, what actually happened is Lucas didn't have a concise idea for Grievous planned out at the time Genndy's CW series was being made. So, he gave the team his rough notes and told them to just do whatever with them. So, they made Grievous into a badass Jedi killer because anyone with half a brain would look at a person like Grievous and turn him into that.
Lucas, because he's a fucking retard, watched this and decided that he didn't want him to be like that, he wanted him to be a "mustache-twirling Saturday morning cartoon villain", so he basically brushed aside the CW version for the shit jobber we have today.
EU Grievous shits on Anakin's character simply by having a way more tragic and believable background than the latter.
On one hand the decission itself can be understandable from George's point of view, but ultimately we ended up with two ruined characters instead of just having a dissapointing protagonist.
>sports fencing is entirely about speed and accuracy.
So exactly like a fighting style that uses a weapon hot enough to slice through the vast majority of materials like fucking butter?
Genndywars Shaak Ti is the pinnacle of SW waifus and nothing will convince me otherwise
one may call him a scoundrel, parasite, swindler, profiteer, it all runs of him like water off a raincoat. But call him a nazi and you will be astonished at how he recoils, how injured he is, how he suddenly shrinks back: 'I've been found out.
Based, redpilled, and Chad opinion right here.
>tfw even Tartakovsky style Ahsoka looks better than the final character
