>I only just started making them recently youtube says you started 4 years ago
Logan Williams
Alright detective buttermilk, ya got me there but the thing is, the original video was a proof of concept when “hello Birdman” was a cartoon I was pitching to frederator studios
But they rejected it. So about a year ago I started making the comics because they were a little fun project I could do while working full time.
Now the restaurant is closed and I’ve been making videos and comics to stave off madness.
You know, I thought that too until I saw bee and puppycat
Now I understand I dodged a bullet

>2 months without an update from Spears
It hurts, bros...
Juan Williams
heyy that was cute and good.
Colton Sullivan
I’m not dogging the content user, I mean how the studio changed the designs and then pulled the plug before the story really got off the ground
It just seems like they give creators the runaround
Ryder Rogers
I hope he's doing alright.
Michael Young
He probably got the rona.

Do you think Webcomics will get more popular because people are cooped up during the quarantine?
On an unrelated note, I can't wrap my head around coloring in relation to lighting. Like, I realized I have an important scene coming up that takes place at sunset, and I don't know what colors to make the characters.
Wat do?

>Got a playlist for your comic? Share it here! No questions this thread around!
Not really. I always imagined something like this bm for the climax battle though.
oh that, right. yeah working for frederator would have been an assmare but that's not their fault, it was youtube fucked em over. go back though, the final chunk of bee and puppycat fixed the art again and it was pretty nice
Josiah Butler
fortunately, sunsets are easy mode for coloring you can just put an orange transparent layer over them, or an orange colorized copy that's partially transparent, or tint everything a bit warmer, then shade in blue-purple and you're all set.

I recently gae you a follow on insta I LOVE your stuff would you be interested in joining the webcomic discord?
Ill probably have a new Kaiju Kompendium profile tomorrow. Its going to be a while till the next update. I have to whip out about 10 pages to finish off the chapter, but the finale is imminent.
I fear im going to be put on a pike after this chapter. and these post almost confirm it.
>got a playlist for your comic? Yes every chapter has a song attached to it. There is a radio in every chapter that shows what song you should be listening to while you read. I highly recommend you do so.
Still trying to just suck less at drawing. Frustrated feeling unable to properly write either, basically just quibbling with myself ripping up my pages...
>Psychological horror, fantasy >we follow a barbarian's unhealthy worship of a powerful cult leader who, of course, sees him as expendable >his cult "brothers" cycle between treating him as a warrior prince, or as expendable, threatening if he fails to meet their needs he'll be a "bad brother" >experiencing mental anguish from how he's treated by those he loves, and constant exposure to hyper-violence spawns emotional regulation issues. >he slowly and painfully finds self worth, wounded til the breaking point makes him leave the cult and find his own way in life.
I actually kinda like that art because it looks like the cover of an underground doom metal album. Keep practicing my man. It just takes time an effort. I only started drawing a year ago this month, and ive made some decent progression from pic related. I think i remember you posting your story a while back. I think it could be pretty compelling. Especially if you play it grimdark without getting edgy. Like Primal, or heavy metal.
Yea, grim but not edgy is where i want to be. Horrible struggle and survival. Unhealthy ways of looking at the world and people. Ever see the movie Bronson?
I'm going for like...dark adult adventure time i guess, a big titty dragon with a cellphone the size of a small car. Skeletons drinking sodas. A mad scientist damage controlling and also manipulating the dumbass skeleton king on the throne
This sounds like exactly my kind of humor. Kind of a Genndy Tartokovsky dark. Where its funny and weird shit happens, but it can still maintain the grimdark mood when it wants too. Like Samurai Jack.

Hey, could you do something for me? Find some clay and mould it into a corgi dog- especially one doing something or showing an emotion (the one I did is laying down but looking up attentively). It's harder than it sounds- they have really wide heads with a divot in the middle and the rest of their body is really fluffy. They're very weird looking dogs. I want to see if working 3D shapes makes people better at drawing. Clay is easier than pencil and like I said they're weird dogs. You have to think about how to they look
Oh, hey One more thing I thought of- have his jackboots hang really loose. Always about to fall off but they never do. Gives the impression that they are very awkward and uncomfortable to wear.
>a frontline skeleton grunt somehow became overlord of the badguys and has no idea what he's doing. Actually wait, what tone does this have? The impression I got was that it was super dark
Henry Sanders
It's basically my baby, I've been writing for several years, figuring out the characters, lore, jokes, how it all fits together, It's literally my reason for living and I haven't actually made a real page 1 for fear of failure, so afraid to try and not be good...
The Dark God pierced and corrupts the Nightworld with his Stairs of Stan, thus emerges all manner vile things, one species is attention whore succubus imps. Spending time around the lonely ladies, you see them do gross unhygienic shit.
It would switch between dark shit and absurd humor. Mr.Jitters the slimey business man runs the Fun Factory. He fabricates alot of engineering needs, like the Bone Factory that mass produces skeleton soldiers for the overlord.
Do you guys ever feel bad about making a side character too good? You gave it a cool demeanor, an interesting backstory, a detailed philosophy, etc. but then you remember you are not going to use it for much because it's not the protagonist. Maybe you extra regret it because it has a design you really enjoy drawing.
Gabriel Brooks
Ah, I want to share again this since I finished it, the sketch of the protagonists of my next comic, The Lost Forest.
1. Ardenaid: the team leader. A loner with a strong sense of justice. As talented as he is lazy. His sign has the ability to transform objects. 2. Daurstn: A prestigious family's daughter with an ill temper. She is in for the pleasure and money. Her sign has the ability to manipulate wind. 3. Namini. An average, idealistic girl who wants to fight against evil. In charge of bringing common sense to the table. Her sign has the ability to manipulate time/dimensions. 4. Skardtril. Namini's brother. A cultured but sadistic warrior. His sign has the ability to manipulate fire. 5. Vusluck: Youngest of the team. A simple farm boy who wants to become a hero, yet finds himself often letting his fear win. His sign has the ability to manipulate lightning.
Signs are not powers they have, but creatures that guard them until the Pentas git gud enough. They are the living link between the Pentas and the god that gives them their power.
The main antagonist, Danterkiss. The man leading the hamberlap hordes against the Lost Forest residents. One of the three great dangers of that world along with the old demon Selam and the Black Witch Carva.
Another antagonist. The Shadow Being. She/he will be the main antagonist for the first part of the story. A shapeshifting creature with mysterious motives.
When Stan ascended beyond the mortal realm as a Dark God, selecting one of his loyal masked cultists and elevated him to rule the Nightworld as his chosen. The shrimpy little guy was zapped with dark god powers and transformed into an imposing conqueror named Pete. For ages, bloody and fearsome was Pete's reign, but eventually it became routine and then trivial. Pete disengaged until he grew to be lazy and entitled, this was his vulnerability to lose everything.
Okay then, no bayonets poking through hearts! What do the other team members look like? You talked about them a bit you only gave them 1 line
Relax man, people iterate their way to being good. We improve as we try also, make sure to write down lore and scenes and the story's chain of events. Trust me you forget a lot more than you think
I'm never gonna finish this, but hell, i'll share regardless. I got like 40 unfinished pages. still need board another 20 or so for the whole chapter. God help me
He is a dangerous clown. Have an initial sketch of Ducam, Danterkiss right hand man. A dreaded hamberlap strategist known for having murdered the One Emperor several centuries ago.
I've been lurking here for several threads and you guys made me want to try making comics. Not much going on first page but it helped me find some sort of style. I haven't been drawing for that long
