Men, in general, will not wear a Peter Pan shirt, but women will wear a Tinkerbell shirt with a Tinkerbell purse and Tinkerbell bracelet charms, and will potentially buy yet more merch for their children.

This is also probably the reason for the rise of the SoiBoi- it's an effort to make "wearing your fandom" socially acceptable among the portion of the population that has not been optimally monetized.
