Looks brainless, but all the fx and lights might keep you watching. Smoke some herb before is a must.

Watch Dahufa instead. It's a 2D animation and it's pretty unique.

Chinese cartoons are Yas Forums.

There’s a difference between reusing plot structure and adapting the very same story over and over and over again.
Although Disney remakes are getting there. Also capeshit.

It's not Yas Forums, so it's Yas Forums

It's not journy to the west, you fucking retard. It isn't even an adaptation from a chinese folk story, it only uses the characters from Ne Zha tale, aside from that it's a totally original and different story.

Yes, it's good, my favorite part is the action flow.

It looks cool, I'll check it out.

>Nezha
>Journey to the West
Seriously?

The animation is pretty creative and the story is great
Also Ao Bing is really cute

As far as the story goes, this feels more like a real movie than other recent Chinese efforts. The title star is charismatic, and some of the visual humor actually works. But the downside, as with most Chinese CGI films, is that it's shot like a videogame, with Mario 64-style tethered camera work, lots of senseless explosions and lights, Snyder-esque gimmicky slowdowns and speedups, and just horrendous cinematography all around. It's tasteless, without restraint, and derivative, with a finale that is almost identical to White Snake.
For Chinese CGI films, you can do a lot worse than Nezha. But that still doesn't make it good.

Doesn't Nezha rumble with Sun Wukong briefly in Journey?

Need a /dong/ board for Donghua.

It would get shitposted into the ground. Nonstop Donkey Kong memes.

how can we have a chinese cartoon thread and not mention the best one?

>journey to the west for gooks
>day of the dead for spics
What are the burger and euro equivalents?

It is basically that. I'm not new to watching and reading subs at the same time, but I honest had no idea what was going on and was just watching for the visuals.

Westerns and Liberation for Americans
Nazi are bad, Diversity for Europa

What is 1 and 4?

When watching the trailer at first I thought it was a girl. Shame.

He's involved in Journey to the West. Nezha fights Wukong after he ate the peaches, drank the liquor in heaven, and fled. Loses to the monkey, then Erlang Shen comes in for a transformation goose chase. Real story is the travel to get the scriptures.

Why is Chinese such an awful sounding language? Where's the Japanese Dub?

Currently I have seen Fox Spirit Matchmaker, Yaoguai Mingdan and Mo Dao Zu Shi. I think it's time to watch Scissor Seven.

It’s not great but it’s acceptable and pretty. It’s certainly miles ahead of most other Chinese 3D cgi production, and it gives hope the Chinese may possibly have an interesting animation sector in the near future

Now imagine the sequel.
Fucking Covid, it caused the movie to be delayed.

>no Mo Dao Zu Shi

>Ne Zha
>Journey to the West
Are you being retarded on purpose user?

What do you guys think about the Legend of hei nezha?

They did a good job with the design then

do the chinese like traps?

Idk, the point is Ne Zha is supposed to look like one.

i remember cartoon brew shilling this cartoon for like a month straight. Every fucking article was about it and how successful it was.
Never seen such blatant shilling in quite a while

They invented bishonen

Used to watch this all the time as a kid

There aren't many kids films that have the main characters commit suicide by cutting their own throat, on camera.

am i supposed to guess the whole story from that? they basically showed all important scenes

Isn't Nezha supposed to look cute?

Attached: heinezha.gif (278x318, 3.62M)

I can't find any good sub online, the one in kimcartoon is made by crazy monkeys.

Well Nezha is a well-known legend in east asia so I guess they didn't even try to hide major plots.

>girl
Nezha is supposed to look feminine. Hence the name lotus prince.

ancient trap

Big fish and Begona is shit user.

The 70s movie Nezha also looks feminine, so there you go, canon ancient trap.

I fought a Nezha in Smite as Sun Wukong the other day. Got the canon ending. Felt good.
Yeah, it's like making a Passion of Jesus movie. We know how it's going to end.

I wish Chinese animation did less historical fantasy stuff.

Honestly, it could have stopped at episode 9 and been 10/10, but it kept going AND GOT EVEN BETTER.

Real talk, I feel like this movie was only popular in China because they feel the need to fawn over anything related to their culture

Name it something other than /dong/, for fuck's sake.

He's a major figure of Chinese mythology, so of course he's going to pop up a couple of times in a story that involves the Jade Emperor and friends so heavily. His fight with Wukong and one bit much later in the story when Wukong has to go to him for help are his only really major appearances in it (and Journey to the West is long as fuck, so two stories isn't nearly as much as it sounds like when there are like 60 of them in total).

>That's a boy

Unfortunately.
