Animation is actually better, though it is at the cost of cutting content like Okami and the nose art because they wanted to make it more woke. Asian males are just above white women on the progressive stack whereas black females are much higher.

Anakin and Yularin’s cameos were the only decent parts of the episode.

Okami was nixed because Filoni wanted to have Ahsoka face two foil characters instead. Plus introducing a new love interest this late in the show in such a short season doesn't make sense. Filoni wanted to give closure to Ahsoka and Rex's TCW stories with this revival. Bad Batch was Rex's arc, this is Ahsoka's, and then Siege of Mandalore will bring their arcs together.

The nose art was removed because Filoni felt it did a disservice to Padme's character since she wasn't going to be in any of the three arcs. Witwer explains it best

This arc can only be redeemed if Hondo shows up to rob them and recognizes Ahsoka.

Daniel Logan also said he recorded eight episodes. Which would be the Boba Fett vs Cad Bane and I don’t know what. Dark Disciple and Kashyyk with Echo and the Bad Batch, I don’t think they recorded. Utapau we all know they did. And Son Of Dathomir I doubt, but it would have been so much more interesting than this.
