The era of Millennial shows are coming to a end

The era of Millennial shows are coming to a end.
Zoomers are now on the horizon.

Yas Forums's thoughts?

Is it finally time to stop watching cartoons then? None of them seem as particularly great as athe ones from the last 2 decades, plus it's starting to feel kinda creepy

ALL of those are zoomer shows faggot.

This picture should be hell instead. These soi toons are a huge contributor to degeneracy in modern America. Except for P&F and OTGW, they can be salvaged.

More like gen alpha shows

>These shows are made my zoom zooms!
>Zoomers are turning 20 this year

Family Guy is still going chief

Yes, the creators are millennials. The viewer base are zoomers.

>liking P&F
Now who's soie?

Owl House needs to die quickly.

it never had any tranny shit like the other ones

why mlp isn't there?

Because we haven't seen it's final form.
Go. Roar. "Pony Life"

Didn't some weird shit happen relatively recently where the trailer and all other promotional media got nuked off of the official YouTube channel or something?

But were takling zoomers creating cartoons dummy

Because a certain someone would throw a fit if it was

why the fuck is Over the Garden Wall there, that's a limited series, it was only ever going to be exactly as long as it was

Lets see if zoomers can make anything better than whatever the millennials have shat out.

calarts and SJW cartoons are dead!!!!

I think things are about to get really obnoxious. We sorta screwed ourselves with social media and eternal connectivity. Now everyone has these rotten ADHD brains that NEEDS a new endorphin hit every 15 seconds. Shows are going to be designed around this where not a second is wasted and everything is in permanent "go" mode. You know how youtube vloggers aimed at zoomers go so far as to edit out every time they take a breath so everything they say is like one fast paced continuous sentence? Yeah thats the future.

Zommers will be better than millennials fags

regular show and phineas and ferb are the only good shows on that list

What's in cartoon hell?

Zoomers

Whoops, meant to post this

>Star vs.
>cartoon heaven
I'mma need a proton pack, a hellmouth, and a necromancer.

So what comes after zoomers?

Satan, you probably should've specified that you meant shows created by milennials.
SU was kinda weird, you could trace some of its inspirations to anime, but a lot of it seemed like the natural progression of the late 00s CN cartoons like flapjack, adventure time and chowder.
They went from being episodic lolsorandumb adventures to character dramas that had consistent(or rather partially consistent) characters and storylines.
Much like the action cartoons of the 80s/90s, but with less of the action and toy commercial aspects and more focus on strange stories.

I can't say I know what zoomer creatives will come up with if I had to guess it would be shows that lean heavier into being more story and character focused and not just random slapstick gag stuff.
Zoomers love anime so I also think it's possible we might start to see cartoons that take more conceptually grounded approaches like certain anime do. Initial D and slam dunk are pretty good examples of what I mean.
We might even see normal SoL cartoons without fantasy elements become more common.

Based zoomers

Wow, I somehow missed gumball ending

alpha

>Born after 9/11.

when thinking in this era i only think in the early years. Clarence was the last one of the reinassence, the rest were copy cats, like i think anybody can see the similarities between ok ko and SU.

doomers from the corona baby boom.

ME ZOOMER, NO ME BOOMER, ZOOMZOOM LE BOOMBOOM

Jesus christ I hate this so much. I have never seen so much unironic erafaggotry than in the past two years thanks to this bullshit. Why cant we just like the shows that we like, and not like what we dont like? Why do we have to group ourselves into these stupid categories, we're fucking people goddamnit not grocery products.
>oh you like [x good show]? Well that must mean youre a [y]oomer and you like [all these terrible shows from the same era] because youre nostalgic for them, big dummy dumbdumb, because IM nostalgic for the shows i grew up with and cant let go of the past, so everybody must be like me!

Close enough

>Why do we have to group ourselves into these stupid categories,
That's how history works. It's divided by eras.

I thought zoomers start at the late 90s?
I feel like everytime I ask the timeframe gets shifted around.

Also one thing I just thought of.
A good way to get a rough idea of what kind of concepts zoomers will create is to check out online artspaces like twitter and tumblr.
Bee and Puppycat is probably the show that I would say encapsulates the general kind of aesthetics, storytelling structure and format we can expect from Zoomers.

there are pretty clear cutoffs between styles and eras in basically everything humans do

This picture is more accurately applied tot he 2010's rather than a particular generation.

I think whay he's more angry at is the watered down shitpostery discourse that usually pops up when people start throwing the terms boomer and zoomer around.
I think at this point we just hace to accept that those terms are in the lexicon, but we shouldn't allow their use to steer things in the wrong direction.

because it's illegal

>boom zoom
I hate this shit and how it started

Attached: 1528250311170.png (1410x1733, 789.23K)

>I feel like everytime I ask the timeframe gets shifted around.
There's 3 schools of thought (and then the it starts in 1999 folks, but they have severe brain damage so we don't talk about them)

The wrong school: 1996 onward or earlier
The "if you remember the turn of the millennium you're a millennial", else zoomer school: 1997-1998 onward (up for debate)
The "milliennals go up to the turn of the millennium" school (aka the other wrong school): 2000 onward

>i hate this shit thats why i have pics saved about it
ok oomer.

What the fuck is /n/ discussing for thread sliding to be a thing on their board?

Thats not enough of an excuse, niggers.
Sure im nostalgic for many of the shows i grew up with, but I actually have a functioning brain, so many of my favorite shows are ones I didn't even grow up with in the first place, new or old! In fact, believe it or not, I'm able to look back and admit that some of the stuff i watched were in retrospect, complete and utter garbage! You think that just because I grew up with a certain era that I cant differentiate between what shows were good and bad, or that im only allowed to enjoy that era of cartoons just because I grew up with them? Some of my favorite cartoons are from the fucking 50s you blithering retards.
The lot of you are petty motherfuckers.

>Posts a Calarts cartoon
nigger.

Im assuming you meant to reply to a post made in your head and not actually in the thread.

Yeah that's all pretty annoying to sort through.
Especially since I'm '99, so I sit right on the cutting line for some people.
Although I've never felt like I belonged to either honestly.

I remember this shit too. I was surprised when it actually caught on. Spam forcedfags had a victory.

They're literally millennials but worse, who are basically just baby boomers but less successful. At the rate society is declining, you're not gonna see another tolerable generation until some sort of collapse.

Based

The same thing was done to make the c00mer meme.
I heard rumors it was a dedicated shitposting reddit/discord group

>calarts cartoon
retarded

Attached: retard.jpg (359x253, 29.38K)

I lost all faith in cartoons after what happened to Adventure Time.
Why am I even here. I hate all of you.

>a victory
>singular
I'm not sure I can even remember the last time a meme wasn't forced as fuck. The fact people are still posting Pepe and Wojack is depressing in itself. Forced and stale are the only flavours of meme left.

I hate you too, erafag.

we live at the end of history. There is only entropy and death from here on out.

Who cares

are memes are forced depending on your PoV

>we live at the end of history.
A bad political meme first put forth as a potential state we'd reach, but then co opted by western liberals to smugly suggest we'd reached a political endpoint. If there ever was a final perfect system of human government and society that supersedes all others, we haven't reached it yet, and new technological advancements will bring new solutions and problems we'll need to find political solutions to, or else face more violent political change in response to them.
