I like how no one gave a fuck Steven shattered her.
Also, lesbian relationships are no substitute for heterosexual relationships.
At least it ended instead of not ending like the Simpso.....
Fuck it!
End this up with a movie like the Simpsons planned to end the series!
Just be thankful she appeared in the last ep for half a minute
Yeah I’m with you
I said this in another thread (can't remember which since there are about 6 at any given time) but I think Sugar's greatest weakness is that she never wanted to have a deep show, she just wanted a slowburn slice of life with her alien OCs, and unlike a responsible creator, she never conceded that the premise grew beyond her simple vision. She spent half the show delaying growth so as not to leave behind characters like Sadie or Onion. I saw somewhere somebody say that the show was like a houseplant which grew too big for its pot, and instead of accommodating it, she just took to clipping its branches over and over so it stayed small, and by the end she was left with a long skinny trunk covered in pruned away potential and an awkward cluster of leaves at the top.
They sort if were upset to learn that he shattered someone. They just didn’t give a fuck about Jasper herself. They were far more concerned about what that meant for Steven.
She made something better than all of you ever will
a fucking third grader could write better than (((Rebecca Sugar)))
They acted kind of disbelieving and then never confirmed it or talked about it onscreen, which is a shame given how major that was
>It's published so it must be good
If you're an aspiring artist/writer, the best thing you can ever learn is that the publishing/movie/animation industry is entirely built on connections and that networking is the most important skill. It isn't about the quality of the work because there are a lot of decent stories/artists. Get out there and network, you fucks
I know it's a meme thing to get angry about, but I'm furious about how they handled this storyline. Jasper was literally only relevant when the plot needed a catalyst for Steven to start going bugshit nuts, and even then, there was no focus on how Jasper felt or how she was dealing with being fucking murdered: it was just about how Steven felt.
She wasn't even in the final fight or in the group hug. She was literally just a prop to get Steven from point A to B.
use the catalog
Based
>I think Sugar's greatest weakness is that she never wanted to have a deep show
Then why 18 episodes out of 20 of Future is literally exploring indeep the Steven mind and all his trauma, just to resolve all that in a gang bang and offscreen before the time skip in the alst episode?
Why setup deep story then not resolve it'
>She was literally just a prop to get Steven from point A to B.
You mean like every villain in this series? At least Jasper had a better tretment than the diamonds and that 180° turnaround they did to them, turning the fascist dictators into looney toons characters because why not.
Except they did give a fuck. They were horrifed and shocked. They didn't fixate on it because learning it was step one in his massive breakdown.
Oh, good work, the dogwhistle really makes you sound like you considered your opinion carefully.
Yeah. She's a minor support character. It happens. It was pretty clear how she felt when she was shattered.
Yeah I don't think they cared for Jasper too much, they cared more about the implications of Steven shattering someone.
I hated that so much
It was resolved, it just wasn't screaming and angst like you wanted.

They did the same thing when she got fusion raped by Lapis. It was all about Lapis feeling guilty that she fusion raped Jasper, no one cared about how Jasper felt and she never got help
Same thing happened with her corruption. We don't get to see her recover from it ir get any insight to how she feels after being uncorrupted, all we get is Steven feeling guilty that he couldn't save her
Steven murdered her and they didn't even have the decency to address how fucked up it is that she decided to start worshipping him as her diamond after being revived. We just get Steven feeling guilty again and nobody else gives a shit about how Jasper feels. This is the ultimate case of lazy writing and wasted potential.
But the diamonds had a proper ending. They might have fucked up with them, but if you where a Diamond fan, you would be satisfied with what happened today. I can’t picture what Jasper fan could be satisfied about this.
This. She was always used as a prop and she was in the show more than Spinel and the Diamonds, yet she is the one who gets cucked. Everyone gets proper closure but her.
>Yeah. She's a minor support character. It happens.
No she's not, townies are minor support characters. Gems like Topaz and Holly Blue are minor support characters. Jasper was a huge antagonist early on in the show and was a huge foil and obstacle for several of the main characters to overcome, Amethyst and Garnet in particular.
it sucks how jasper was just basically used for plot development and then cast aside
what we did get of her was fun though
What bugged me the most is that they didn't go into WHY Steven left his entire support structure outside of him following Connie around. Would have been nice if they gave him a real reason other than making the finale feel more final.
The worst part is that the defense will be “they talked it out on the months that passed” like that’s a good excuse. Fuck off.
Maybe there was an explanation somewhere in that fucking several month long timeskip they had literally immediately after he got de-monsterfied for some goddamned reason.
Were you not paying attention during Mr Universe? The clues were there.
>It was resolved
Where, because after two rewatch i still see nothing resolved. Steven Mind is still a mess and nothing of what bothered him is resolved at the end of ep 19 before the time skip, he just went back to normal because reason and power of friendship and pussy kissing.
This, all the explanations we searched and waited are all in that monthly long time skip at the end, arent you happy?
I'm seeing everywhere online people saying that SU was important to them because they learned about some lgbt, trauma crap and it kept them from killing themselves or whatever. Now look, I'm not again gay stuff or messages in shows, but it's so obvious at this point that Steven Universe wasn't made to be a proper form of entertainment, but make people feel ""valid"" Unless you liked or related to Jasper, then fuck you.
As someone with a lot of issues, Jasper and Spinel were the most relatable. Messed up people lashing out, not accepting help, and thinking that the people offering help are trying to degrade them is classic mental disorder behavior. Would have been nice to see it addressed more.
BUT
Lol idiot fags for idiot character got nothing for it, don't care.
Lapisfags won and Lapis got a 142 art piece set with 60 (S I X T Y) crayons while Japer got deaded.
Lapis rockers in the house tonight.
>tfw when you come out happier and more fulfilled than your sexual abuse victim
It started as decent entertainment but devolved into that kind of shit.
I fell into the trap of relating super hard to a character (Peridot) and using that as a life-coping mechanism and actually got a lot worse when they decided that she was autistic/asexual representation and never got over her issues.
It's funny, they didn't even speak once after Alone at Sea, Jasper never got over it and became a tsundere punching bag. Based Sugar
Rebecca just has a fetish for abusing and degrading strong independent buff women
Lapis deserves to be put in prison for raping Jasper and never apologizing to Steven or Peridot
Jasper stil came out of the show a better character even if she is eternally suffering
Peridot's redemption arc was pretty good I thought, they just didn't know what to do with her post-redemption and then Zuke got her hands on her
Peridot got the shirt. Lapis is a firm second placer.
I wonder what that Make-a-wish Jasperfag kid Vox fucked with thinks of all of this. I'm not sure if she's still alive.
Yeah poor kid
My guess would be she was only filled in up to the end of the events in Change Your Mind.
Story?
Kid with cancer gets spoilers from Rebecca and the crew. Was allowed to spoil some vague stuff. Vox is a jealous dick to her over it. Started this whole shitstorm in the fandom.
Relating to the topic, Jasper was her favorite character and Rebecca told her that Jasper was going to get a lot of love or some shit as some sort of reassurance.
Anyone else thinks that this shitfest of a plot was due to the crew having too much input and that causing conflict?
Normally feminists would be super butthurt over using the death of a woman as plot advancement and focusing on how it affects the man while dismissing the woman entirely.
Coming from a Kingdom Hearts fag, Jasper is SU's Kairi. I had to relive that painful yet predictable disappointment once more.
Connie did
heterosexual relationships are exactly what ruined Star Vs
Sleep tight, Mr. Smiley
Jasper has been a non-player for years
>You mean like every villain in this series?
Lapis got a character arc though
Lapis was never a real villain, was presented as one but then it was just a mere distraction.
Lapis was the first redeemed villain, Peridot was the second, then the Cluster, then the Diamonds.
So what you're saying is Tomco is best pairing, and would have saved the show.
unironically yes
she can't be the first redeemed villain if she wasnt a real villain tin the first palce
All of Lapis' development happened offscreen and nearly every episode she was in after getting shoved in the barn was glamorized filler. I wouldn't consider than an arc
