Haha wow every single villain on here was a disappointment
Haha wow every single villain on here was a disappointment
It's okay OP, we know what it's like to have shit takes. We're here for you
They should have beat the shit out of Monster Steven to show their love through their fists
The only who was an actual villain was bluebird
We haven't sseen the diamond yet have we?
I didn't realize it at first, but we have. It's the thing where White let Steven possess her or whatever.
Jasper held it down, though. Best part of Season 1, best part of Future. Everything else in between is largely pointless.
She had such a horrible and disappointing send off
unironically all of them were 1 episode jokes not even villains
three of the villains here were all steven
Humanizing violent warriors is completely against the tranny agenda and why Japan remains resistant against their influence.
I know technically all of them were protagonists but there's something deceitful about putting the Lapises and Bluebird on there. The others either represent Steven's internal dilemma or deal directly with it but they were barely even threats.
If Jasper became anything like Steven's friends, even just a little, no one would like her anymore though
la niña negra
>villains
That's giving them too much credit
It was bad but at least Jasper didn't join in the retarded group hug. What an embarrassment that would have been.
I never liked Jasper until Future.
Look a American who thinks anyone who is brown is black
>Implying
Eat shit
She didn't need to, but if they really respected her character, they would've gave her a bit more sympathy.
People do sympathize with her though, when Steven tells her to fuck off before going to Homeworld they intentionally give her a very hurt expression, she's got issues to work out but it's not like they've kept her a monster, old Jasper wouldn't be caught dead in Little Homeworld unless it was to tear it to the ground.
They could've had Steven do something nice for her in the end instead of remaining distant.
Jasper has never been Steven's friend and she doesn't really want to be, what nice thing could he do for her in the short time before he left that would leave ANY impact?
does anyone still have that webm with the "out of proportion" compilation?
She obviously views Steven with high-esteem now that he's bested her. He could've at least patted her on the back or something.
>disappointing show produces disappointing antagonists and conclusions to their story
Color me shocked.
Jasper was good and bluebird was funny. That's about it I guess, I mean the main focus weren't the villains, it was the buildup to this big guy. And it was shit so yeah that sucked.
>Humanizing violent warriors
B-But the Diamonds ordered the violent warriors...also Bismuth was a violent warrior.
A pat on the back wouldn't mean shit, Future is literally about how Steven isn't a magic problem solver, spending time with him fixing Jasper's complex shit would go against the message of it.
Jasper could've stayed shattered and essentially nothing about the last episodes would've changed.
Fucking TRUTH.
This bit made me so hyped for the series and every single one of them just let me down so much.
Something about the pose and expression of pink White Diamond made it seem like some shit was going to go down.
I wasn't joking about Curly in the last thread, I want to know what she's doing. Probably laying waste to the solar system for all we know.
This guy looked so fucking dopey.
Jasper came to him at the end. She's in desperate need of "love" more than anyone else but obviously soldiers should be tossed to the side according to the show's philosophy.
>Jasper
Not even really an antagonist at all. Is only around so she can die and push Steven over the edge
>Blueball
Only a single episode, is beaten in 2 seconds and is swept under the rug
>Twin Lapis'
Single episode, barely does anything at all and quickly swept under rug
>White Diamond
Biggest bait in switch on the show. Basically a complete lie
>Cactus Steven
Only decent one on the list. Main characters frustration in physical form and presents a threat
>Monster Stephen
Finale set piece and he's defeated by hugging/crying. No fight. No collateral damage. Nothing.
This is why you don't let character designers make cartoons. All they did was keep introducing character after character while only having 11 minute episodes. Then they waste episodes on characters like Pink Pearl or pointless shit like Stephen Tag.
Some retard drew a picture of Lapic with freckles and we got an entire episode about it. Holy shit
Not a practical possibility.
Yes, love is so retarded. Imagine resolving a conflict with love instead of punching.
Especially in a battle that is not about resources or philosophical differences, but purely about emotions.
The whole point is Steven needs time not needing to fix shit, again, him needing to fix Jasper would go against it. Also, Rose is rightfully seen as a shitter for locking away Bismuth, a warrior, also all the other CGs that were just warriors but now have new lives.
>This is why you don't let character designers make cartoons.
Absolutely this
She still is not his friend.
She's his slave.
She has no higher aspirations than to be Pink Diamond's slave.
I mean he is his own worst enemy.
at least Kaiju Steven looked cool
Based
>no arc villains, except maybe steven
>intro was misleading, every 'fight' was solved within the short ass 11 minute episode segment
>only 18 episodes, was basically promised a full new series after the movie aired some months ago but we only got this rushed shit that actually showed some cool stuff in the final hours of the series
I can't believe I stuck with it so long, back when pink diamond was about to be revealed about 2 years ago or so we thought it could end soon or go on forever, not end like this, yet everyone predicted it would end like this. WHY
at least Steven vs Jasper was cool
It occurs to me now there wasn't really a followup conclusion to any of that shit except steven monster. Shame
Pink Pearl episode was pure kino.
>he didn't realize this "villains" scene in the intro was just for show, like the "villains" scene in the full original intro that still had Lapis and Peridot on it when it aired after their redemption arcs set in
yeah it would be cool if she ever showed back up again or if her relationship with Pearl was even expanded upon at all
>tfw stopped watching halfway through the Cluster arc
This show does not and will never have satisfying conflicts and conclusions. You faggots deserve all the disappointment you get for letting yourself get invested this much in this vapid pride parade.
Yeah and we get it at the last 2 hours of the series. Bullshit
Don't worry. Just let COVID-19 run its course and wipe them out.
yep, just like the original series
This shot reminds me of Xiaolin Showdown, and i expected an ensemble battle with them too.
>Still thinking SU is shonen anime and these are "villains"
Nigga these are Steven's lingering problems. It was obvious from minute one.
>Jasper
Not a villain, literally just wanted to be left alone in the woods. Steven came to her to start shit both times. Fragments is one of the best episodes on the show though
>Bluebird
Could've been a funny recurring comic relief villain a la Team Rocket. Too bad Aquamarine and Eyeball fucked off for the rest of the show after 1 episode
>Lapises
No idea what their purpose even was.
>Cactus Steven
Good way to lampshade Steven's issues in a monster-of-the-week type setting we haven't had in a long time.
>White Diamond
Purposeful misdirection, was a huge blueball. Thought she would go hysterical after Steven digs into hiw bad of a person she is or w/e
>Monster Steven
Steven was the villain all along in Future, duh. I wish that "I Am my Monster" wasn't hamstrung by the 11 minute time limit.
They’re a gallery of loose ends more so than a rogue’s gallery.
The Lapises, Cactus Steven, and the kaiju monster weren't loose ends.
Why would she? It was literally the very purpose for which he was created. Fighting wars in the name of the Diamonds is literally the greatest self-fulfillment that could possibly exist for her.
What the fuck is painting and singing compared to doing the God Queen's will?
But the God Queen wants her to do something else than hurt people. He told her so.
He didn't specify painting and singing.
>3 of the villains were Steven himself
Whoah... So deep man...
