Dangerously close to correct, but that’s not Band Geeks.

Close, but that's not Graveyard Shift

Nope that is Squids Day Off.

Best art and writing and little to no flaws.

Agreed

it may be, but it certainly pushes my "i've been through this before IRL" button.

This show has so many very strong conteders for best episode it's unreal.
Aside from the ones already mentioned which are all stellar theres
Shanghied
Dying For Pie
The Time Machine one
The seahorse one
Sailor Mouth
Squidward the Unfriendly Ghost
The first two Mermaid Man and barnacle Boy ones
just off the top of my head

How did this show hit the mark so many times? Do I have nostalgiagoggles on?

It's just a really good show.

Fight me if you disagree but not too hard, I have glass bones & paper skin.

It's hard to say if something is objectively good, but it's a fact that SpongeBob had a bigger mark on pop culture than any cartoon from that time. You don't see Rugrats memes or Hey Arnold memes today, but you do see references to SpongeBob episodes nearly 20 after they first aired.

I like this episode but it's boring.
One of the best s1 eps is the dream one.

Counterpoint: Graveyard Shift

Hooked, the one where Sandy hibernates, the one where Spongebob thinks he's ugly, and the one where they steal the balloon are a few of my favorites.

Dude. Can I have some ketchup?

That's not Frycook Games

That's not Kristy krab pizza

Wasn't SpongeBob produced after hey Arnold stoped making new episodes?

Band Geeks is the NPC's favorite episode.
>OMG LE EPIC SONG GUISE!!!!!!

Rock Bottom is basically getting stuck in the hood.

hey arnold is way too earnest to be memeable but rugrats spawned a few

Let's be real, Prehibernation Week is the best episode.

No need to be contrarian, the episode is great even before the ending sequence. The band practice sequence has a lot of great banter.

tons of great things besides that
>is mayonaise an instrument?

What about MM&bB III and IV?
IV and III were a lot better than II.

It was, but they both were still airing at the same time. That said, Hey Arnold is a completely different thing. I don't think it would really work being memed to the effect that Spongebob has.
Or how this user put it more succinctly.

This.
Every. Fucking. Time.

This aswell

Fuck, meant V instead of IV
the three of them are still funnier than II, but II does have some genuine bonding between the three, only V of which has it as well (though not too organic-feeling)

Yes but kids growing up then had bumpers with new episodes, lots of ads, SpongeBob merchandise and the show in the prime slots
Hey Arnold was never the money bringer for Nickelodeonn and kids remember how the show got advertised and represented in media just as much as how good the show is
Rugrats got two fucking movies

My fucking nigga. Came here to post this.

I had that episode on my videonow player

I think its regarded so highly more so because It was the one episode that finally let Squidward win for a change.

Krusty Krab Training Video is by far the best episode

Attached: EPsi.png (480x347, 253.08K)

Do we all agree that The Paper is the most underrated episode?

I always wanted to eat Glove World candy, if it was glove flavored

Almost, but that's not employee training video

That's the answer.

>Rock Bottom is the best Spongebob episode.
Are you sure about that?

Attached: Spongebob_Deliver_Us.png (1920x1080, 1.49M)

Agreed

for me it's dying for pie

How come they never made an episode where the gang turns into humans?

Glad to see I wasn't the first Graveyard Shift chad in this thread.
Fav used to be Shanghied but the atmosphere of Graveyard can't be beat I feel.

A!

Mud!

I'm partial to some of the darker early Spongebob episodes. Like Nasty Patty for its film noir-ish tone, and Doin' Time for being a complete mindfuck for Mrs. Puff.

Early seasons had excellent writers. They threw every joke they could come up with at the wall and most of them hit.

I liked how Rock Bottom showed deepsea fish, something you don't see too much in the show. But for me, it's SB-129.

That ain't why I love it retard.
I love it because it has some of the best jokes in the series. It is firing off memorable lines every second.

Procrastination is the best episode.

Remember POOP, user.

>I'll have a krabby patty
Oh POOP you never let us down!

>no one posted the actual best episode
Best jokes from start to finish

>Your nothing but pure evil! Just like newspaper comics

>I'm not taking an order for a bubble!
>Sure you are! Or I'll fill your life with misery and woe.Even if you quit.

without my drink!?

getting mad that people think Band Geeks is the the best is the contrarian NPC opinion.
>every piece of dialogue from beginning to end is memorable and funny
>everyone cast member in the show has a role and line
>greats gags like the baton twirlers or sandy beating patrick
>plot is pretty good and structured well
>it's not a mean-spirited epsiode where squidward is just tortured or he's a complete asshole
Squilliam is also a simple but good antagonist and it feels good to see Squidward beat him. Kinda special at a time where aside from plankton, the main antagonist each episode is either spongebob and squidward antagonizing each other. Or the antagonist is the characters own stupidity.

And of course the song

What the fuck was his problem?

he was right

Customer in a bad mood unleashing it on a service worker
