Time to starve or learn a new lesson in customer service.
I can't wait to see the tears start flowing. The backlash from these leftist, SJW, purple haired and blue haired weirdos blaming others for their loss of work and lack of pay.
Great, you can use the month off to create your creator owned comics online and improve your brand and personal income!
Right? Right? All the Marvel and DC writers and artists aren't going to just sit and cry when work isn't just handed to them on a silver platter. Of course not.
Juan Gray
You know it's temporary, right? Also, you have no reason to be upset at her.
>I can't wait to see the tears start flowing. The backlash from these leftist, SJW, purple haired and blue haired weirdos blaming others for their loss of work and lack of pay. Imagine typing this and not being embarrassed, you're just as bad as them user.
Years of insulting paying customers and saying shit like this youtu.be/wNzhvFNOsN0
Levi Cooper
Corona.
Readership just doesn't disappear, you know that, right? Don't be delusional. Unless thier reader specifically all get killed by the virus, there is no reason for their current state to last.
Elijah Clark
B-But Kamala sells a fuckton of digital copies, she should be safe, or at least it is what they say :^)
Jackson Mitchell
there is nothing wrong being said, there. Don't like her work, don't buy it. Also, it's not THEIR paying customers they are insulting.
Jaxson Adams
you know it's the right of everyone to use their work to express their point of view, right?
Jack Ross
>Don't like her work, don't buy it.
They did that, now the stores are closing
Adam Morgan
Lapses in schedules kill readership, unfortunately. This might fuck things harder than ever.
Christian Cox
Cates isn't wrong though. You may hate him but he's saying the truth here.
Jack Gomez
Both. They are tired together.
Austin Nguyen
That was hard to watch. Please don’t post anything like this again.
Lincoln Brooks
>pre-fucked dicks ???
Jackson Hill
And it is the right of everyone to buy that work or no, I don't see the problem, right?
Cameron Watson
>They did that, now the stores are closing You k,ow the reason stores are closing is due to the virus, right? >Lapses in schedules kill readership Because they end up reading something that publish more regularly. in this case, all productions are affected.
Connor Hill
>I am a good person so I wish nothing bad on you. >But also FUUUUUCK YOOOOU IF YOU EVEN SLIGHTLY MADE FUN OF ME REEEEEEEE Nah. I like him, but he's being a bitch.
Joseph Thomas
I am not the one who said there was a problem. this one did
Evan Cooper
>Readership just doesn't disappear,
The NFL went on strike in 2011. The lack of product during that time hurt their viewership when it returned. Then they went all SJW. Viewership, attendance, merchadising fell in response. Super Bowl viewership declines year over year.
As products do not go out to customers that "WANT" their product. Replacements will take it place, other activities will arise.
So yes, "readership" and purchasers do disappear.
Jeremiah Long
They should go to bed then lol.
Grayson Morales
>Because they end up reading something that publish more regularly No, because stores tend to not renew when it isn't something rolling on from the last month, because readership dips when it's not habitual and scheduled, and that isn't purely transferred to the same market.
The last iteration of the Sonic the Hedgehog comics died because of a three month publishing gap that caused a ton of retailers to drop it outright. This is a far more serious situation and most minor books are going to die near instantly upon return.
Michael Adams
I don't hate Donny Cates' work, Redneck is my favorite Image books in a while. I do hate the way he talks to his customers though, especially right now when he needs them more than ever.
Parker Phillips
>Readership just doesn't disappear No, it turns to more reliable media instead. Leaving comics behind.
Alexander Martinez
Yas Forums is anti free speech
Samuel Wood
>Then they went all SJW. They didn't. Some dude decided to protest the disproportionate use of force by police officers against force and some asses lied and said it was an attack against America and their soldiers and there were man morons to believe it. Nothing to do about SJW.
>Super Bowl viewership declines year over year. yet it's still going.
Joshua Ramirez
>because stores tend to not renew when it isn't something rolling on from the last month Which, again, is mooot, when they have to shut everything down because of the virus.
Caleb Nelson
>yet it's still going That's not relevant to the discussion at all. The NFLis also much healthier than the comics industry.
Isaiah Sanders
>The NFLis also much healthier than the comics industry.
And they took a significant hit.
Dominic Bailey
The NFL has always been vastly more profitable than comic books, they can afford to lose customers, comics can't.
Nathaniel Hernandez
>That's not relevant to the discussion at all. The number were going up again, too. And you are right, nothing about the NFL situation is relevant about the current situation.
Zachary Clark
It's more relevant than ever you dumbfuck. Stores now have to sell stuff shipped out before the mass quarantine that won't benefit from scheduled, habitual consumption. AKA, they'll have more unsold stock than normal and the rhythm of habit buying is disrupted for the next few months. They'll need to order significantly less as consumers slowly trickle back in and habits are re-formed.
Luke Peterson
It's not a normal situation, unlike the NFL, they are not losing customers because they are pissing off reader but because comics shop are closings and people are staying hole.
None of their usual buyer base has been pissed off by them.
Caleb Wilson
How can you speak out of both your asses simultaneously, user?
Ethan Nguyen
In this case, their usual readers will just retake their reading as before confinement.
Owen Hill
You have no understanding of economics at all. Do you think everything is going to magically go back to normal in May?
Charles Myers
It's true though, what happened to the NFL is not relevant because 1. They didn't piss any of their current redership 2. The stop is caused by a temporary situation.
Andrew Hughes
How many floppies get shipped isn't up to the readers you fucking idiot.
Lucas Evans
I know they will not lose any of their current readership.
Connor Nguyen
The demand DOES have an influence.
Ethan Reed
Writer Here: a lot of new writers for comics and cartoon forgot that they are employees. The Corona Virus revealed how sheltered they truly are and they need editors. Manga is having the same problem which is why Dragonball and Naruto sucks while Bleach was good.
Kubo listened to his editors and edited the anime in turn to make Bleach good while Toriyama and Kishimoto didn't listen to their editors.
Its why MHA sucks. The author refuses to listen to his editors.
Julian Thomas
Okay OP which one are you
Are you Yellow flash trying to make some news or Zack despiratly hoping that people won't catch on over how terrible your work is, or is this EVS wasting time before the next Scam, sorry i meant fundraiser
Elijah Rogers
>while Toriyama and Kishimoto didn't listen to their editors. Hasn't Supere turned good, tough? It just had a meh start but ended up being hype.
also, there is no magical formula, sometimes, the wirter is right, sometimes, the editor is. Which is which is never, at the moment, certain.
Isaac Moore
You can't just call yourself a writer, you need to published.
Nathan Peterson
It doesn't change that your local Books-A-Million is going to order far fewer comics when they reopen due to slower, shakier business, and comics shops are going to have to be extremely cautious to stay open for a while. Some books are straight fucked. Sales are going to be down. You may as well try to argue the DOW will just bounce back up. This applies to almost every fucking industry you blithering retard.
Austin Brown
islam is right about women.
Christian Smith
It's Zack. Look at his retarded as logic on why sales won't drop.
Liam Lewis
What about Self published?
Evan Russell
Won't drop?
Caleb Nguyen
>A decades-old industry backed up by multi-billion dollar corporations will collapse from a few months of inactivity
I don't think you realize the scale of the entertainment industry or how big things are. Certainly comics creators may temporarily be out of work and stores may take a huge hit, but it's doubtful that the entire industry will just up and die.
I hate to be this way but - fuck these bougie faggots. There's people out there with real jobs they lost and now have nothing so I've got no sympathy for a bunch of preachy, blue check wokescolds who write funny picture books.
Carson Watson
If you idiots love Twitter so much why don't you just stay there?
Eli Fisher
Still makes it just a hobby.
Liam Cooper
Toriyama slavishly listened to his editors, even former editors. That's why the Android/Cell saga was: >Android 19 and 20 are the bad guys >No, Androids 16 and 17 are the bad guys >No, Cell is the bad guy
Why do so many people comment absolute bullshit on Yas Forums?
Xavier Scott
>he says from his daddy's internet Go back to listening chapo and pretending it's praxis you cosplay commie.
Mason Moore
Diamond might die though, or at least have another competitor
Jaxon Phillips
The fuck is pencils down? Is this an actual issue or make-believe shit fueled by 2 retards like comicsgate?
Daniel Stewart
Allah ackbar
Christopher Perry
Even then, the NFL had been losing ratings even before the kneeling debate. Football isn't as popular as it used to be for a number of reasons. Right now the NBA is the new hotness, that league is (was) growing by leaps and bounds.
Kayden Scott
It's writers and artists temporarily being out of work.
Oliver Morris
DC is telling writers for the side imprints to stop writing for the moment. I assume this is for the sandman universe label, and some other Zoom imprint artist got their stuff put on pause for the moment
This will hit smaller imprints/publishers the hardest
Lucas Moore
This, there's nothing stopping them from making more comics while they're out of work.
Joshua Carter
So he should simp to the customers w/o regard to anything else?
Isaac Cook
Sources, please? I'm trying to keep up with the various developments for reference.
Robert Kelly
So the furry porn market is going to get more crowded?
Eli Lopez
His old Editor thought Dr. Gero and his androids were too lame.
His new Editor thought Cell wasn't kino material. The best way that I can describe Cell is that he's not evil.
Cell is actually a freelancer trying to market himself to JUMP by committing atrocities. He knows that people want bigger and badder villains and the conclusion he reaches is to go on a Mass Murder spree across the Galaxy.
Cell is a thrill seeker addicted to power.
Cell v Gohan is just a poor form of Oskar v Yang from LOGH
Asher Nelson
>Diamond might die though, or at least have another competitor
They probably will. I doubt they come back. People are layed off (more than likely will never return).
Adapt and create a new market or die. Few will try a new market or change their techniques. Others will die and go onto twitter to cry and demand a government hand out while blaming others for the loss of the product they created that nobody wanted. Like Trailblazer. A fat chick with a magic backpack that Charges (10 ft at max) to the pizza buffet.
do they have enough savings to continue for X months?
Owen Reyes
She is hideous.
Dylan Martin
Lelia De Luca, who’s drawing the Wonder Woman Zoom book, posted about being put on pause on twatter. OP’s GWW is going to write a sandman miniseries for the sandman universe imprint. That’s how I came to the conclusion DC is pausing smaller imprints for now, but there’s no confirmation
I just want my Lucifer man
Ryder Sanders
He's a fucking idiot and moreso than ever the "shit the fuck up Donny" quote is appropriate because he keeps feeding trolls and getting into petty fights on Twitter, BUT you see idiots like OP the sort that made him post these now deleted tweets and you realize he actually has a point. And I'm saying it as someone who doesn't like him. Imagine collecting these screenshots and actually celebrating that everyone is out of work, but attributing it to your dumbass agenda instead of a global crisis.
Tyler Jackson
>do they have enough savings to continue for X months?
Think AT&T will float them? Nah, expect the shuttered doors soon.
Ethan Williams
He could always just ignore criticism he doesn't like, you know, like a professional.
Samuel Hall
It's not like it's ever close to being saturated anyway.
Who? DC? They probably will. But they also probably don’t see the point of releasing books that already aren’t going to sell well at this point. Marvel is also delaying the Doctor Aphra relaunch for similar reasons methinks
Nathan Moore
You do realize this was more likely written by a capitalist, right? Commies never devalue any type of work.
