How you /shelf/ies feeling about this pandemic and its resulting effect on retailers, Diamond, etc.? Is your LCS closed?
I was a little nervous, but I made sure the gf and I would be alright. I'm in London atm, so it's apparently everywhere.
I don't actually use an LCS. I'll use Amazon for capeshit or 2000 AD for floppies & collections.
Oh also, I'm totally unsure about Diamond, but they never really effected me in the first place. I imagine they actually fuck up a lot of ongoing, even if I don't buy floppies anymore.
Not a /shelf/ie but the day before the shut down I went to my LCS and bought some books for my nephew since no school. To advice of my brother in-law I cleaned each book with denatured alcohol.
My LCS sucks. They have no depth of product, especially in trades, they have no omnis, no back issues and no comic savvy staff. They’ve actually gone out of business once already on the last year, but were saved by turning the store into a co op (basically they got others to lay their debts for a share in future ‘profits’). I think they’re closed now.The whole state went on lockdown at 5AM this morning.
I wish them well, but the prognosis is not good.
Got the Todd McFarlane artbook coming in the mail. Can't wait.
