I thought the Diamonds were pretty overrated before but after this episode it clicked with me what people liked about them.

Although the show try's to have real world allegories, the Diamonds cannot be compared. The Diamonds have efficiently creating gems and there is no comparison because a species of possibly trillions is dependent on these 4.
