You know, when the creative people of Yas Forums made a little mini-series AU they avoided "everything is the same but...genderswapping!" when they made Stella and the Metal Men.
Their metals are mostly their own things that happened to share the same universe of the gems.
But this...this seems just Fem!Steven and Male!Gems.
Not hating the hard work these artists and letterers and colorers did, but I'm criticizing more the writing as every work.
But go on, I want to see if this is actually interesting and I'm just full of shit or I'm right

I will say a notice a few differences so far from early SU at least. Like, Stefanie seems to be much more inquisitive than Steven since she's listening to some kind of military radio. She has a more conventional home life, her mom seems more involved. As you keep reading it's clear the garnet amethyst and pearl characters are relative strangers to her. On top of all this it looks like there's an active war going on while in SU the humans didn't seem to even be aware of homeworld for most of it. Also the garnet character talks and shows emotions.
