steven, like women act like that in rl

adventure time

shut the fuck up about korra

im not saying su did but korra sure as fuck never did anything well so

Korra got bad after S1 not gonna lie.

Trevor from Netflixvania

Liar. It got bad during S1.

Why are Water Avatars so shit?

True.

I was at least able to stomach season 1. Season 2 I couldn't even bring myself to finish.

Because they are meathead savages from the poles that can only think with their crotch.

Steven without a doubt. The whole SU franchise is deeply flawed and misguided and could certainly turn into a shitshow dumpster fire but at the very least there are moments (mostly the beginning, end part of main show, the movie and most of SUF) that are actually good.

The whole season 1 sans the last (maybe the last few) episodes were actually good. The action was decent, the concepts (like the tournaments, bender triads etc.) were interesting and Amon was a genuinely intimidating and charismatic villain. But it all turned to shit with the reveal and things slowly went downhill for the subsequent seasons till taking an outright nosedive for the last season

it's around equally bad, except one is girls on periods and the other horny boys

Oh yeah he’s becoming a dinosaur

It hurt me more the "Steven PTSD" episodes because, it feels like it came out of nowhere but then you remember the old episodes and realize that it does have sense that he's fucked up.
Not only that, it retroactivaly makes harmless past episodes more complicated and sad.

What the fuck does Korra have PTSD from? Her own fuck ups?

Korra didn't do anything well and we all know it

Steven's problems are dumb but make sense, Korra problems made no sense, and its a show that is a great example of why writing multi part sagas without any type of plan just leads to bad storytelling

Aang had a consistent threat, Korra just went from the greatest threat to world to the next even bigger and badder greatest threat to the world and even worse they weren't even slightly connected

Her ass was kicked at the end of every single season but the last one.

I think she was kidnapped and tortured and poisoned?

oh yeah she really got her ass kicked in that giant spirit monster fight

she was not tortured, she was poisoned and it wasn't even an effective poison, just a poison that made her enter the Avatar state

>oh yeah she really got her ass kicked in that giant spirit monster fight
She got the whole avatar lineage cutted from her. She literally mentions in next seasons how she blames herself for it.

Good, she should

for what? being unable to talk to people she couldn't talk to in the first place? For losing access to all the wisdom she never listened to?

It wasn't like she got less powerful or less capable of protecting the world since Korra retconned the Avatar state to not be about getting the knowledge and skill of 10,000 generations but about getting the spirit power super boost of Rava

The poison also hampered her ability to move or bend in general. She wasn’t able to fully recover until Toph bent the remainder of the liquid mercury out.
For someone who’s spent like 16 years knowing they’re the Avatar, it really fucked her up mentally knowing she couldn’t bend or walk without assistance anymore.

no those blocks were purely mental, she couldn't bend or walk right after but when she was with Toph although Toph removed the last of the metal it didn't help anything, so she had to explain to Korra it was all in her head

This

>Korra retconned the Avatar state to not be about getting the knowledge and skill of 10,000 generations but about getting the spirit power super boost of Rava
It's kind of both. They didn't stated it but the avatar state really looked like it got nerfed.

and then the rest of the episodes were shit

and that isn't Jack's inner demons, that's a literal demon tempting him towards death that him and Ashi later kill

Steven as far as the character themselves. Korra had an interesting world with real shit going on though.

because they had to, since they gave her full access to it after season 1 even though she had like no training and based on her personality she would clearly just use it to brute force every problem she found, she literally uses it to beat the airbender kids in a race

they had to nerf it because of their bad writing

I think one of the big reasons the retcons about the Avatar and spirits are so frowned upon is because they are forever linked with the worst season of Korra. If they had been introduced in any other of the three I don't think it would have left such a sour taste.

The Horse guy was a demon, the spirit Jack stayed throughout the entire show even after they killed the horseguy

idk I don't remember seeing him after the wedding, so clearly he must have been a spawn of Aku too

No cause he only got metaphorically killed when Jack had that tea time with Buddha, and even then bearded Jack and nujack have a short convo not long after that. There's no way it's not his PTSD

The thing is Korra still looked sexy, when she cut her hair it just faded away....

>doesn't think short hair Korra is hot
Plebian

Attached: KorraEyebrows.gif (400x466, 580.87K)

>Captain Kangaroo haircut
>Furious fapping
>That's the stuff

Looks like a Karen

Korra only acted like that because she got injured, Steven has been going through one traumatic event after another his whole life.

Few people were even jacking off specifically to any given haircut itself.

Korra's not done too well on the avoiding trauma part either

Attached: KorrasManyFailures.png (500x651, 564.81K)

Aang. Caused 100 years of war, murder, and rape by the Fire Nation because Aang was a little shit that fled from his duties as the Avatar.

Yes but Steven's trauma was mostly undeserved while Korra brought nearly everything on herself.

Not having Wan and Avatar Jafar in you is a good thing.

Korra with short hair = Korra with long hair down > Korra with ponytail

Attached: Korra.jpg (2154x2154, 2.38M)

>Avatar Jafar
What about Avatar Christie?

Plus it was about time for a reset. New knowledge to go with the new age.

Ponytail and short hair are on equal footing. Long hair down is objectively god tier

Korra would never do that, would she???

Korras design is such a 10/10 for me
>Brown skin
>Blue eyes
>Fucking RIPPED
Fuck everyone I like this show

It's also because she lost her in a pathetic string of failures and defeats at the hand of whose considered to be the worst TLOK villain. Korra only beat Unalaq when/because Jinora showed up with bullshit naaru powers to save her. It makes one question, "They destroyed the show's whole mythology for HER?"

She's built, but still keeps fat in all the right places, must be the eskimo genes

Attached: 2020011819h2701406.png (1920x1080, 1.04M)

>rapidly advancing society that changes how the Avatar interacts with the world
>Korra has the opposite personality of Aang which I believe is a good thing so were not treading old ground in character growth
>Interesting villain that expands on a theme brought up in the original show benders >>> non benders
but then
>actchually I was was a water bender the whole time and this somehow voids all the stuff my cause stands for
>actccathualy my face was never burned and its just makeup even though Iv shown to be fanatical enough that burning myself would be small potatoes to sell the look, and using my powers at all would probably ruin the makeup
>actly it was all waterbending hax the whole time
>actually there is no consequences because Aang bails her out at the end and thats the most significant thing we ever see him do

Attached: 1516228193312.jpg (1200x886, 86.4K)

Okay I know he wasn't a chosen one, but he did it better than could have ever hoped to, primarily because VB didn't shoehorn it at the last minute

>but still keeps fat in all the right places
Her breasts were even bigger in season 1, they reduced the size and hoped no one would notice.

Not to take away for Korra's hurt but I just relate more to Steven's and feel it was handled better since it was the main focus on Future beyond tying up some loose ends.

*better than Steven could have

Probably because he looks younger

I like Korra better so I'm biased, but unlike Steven her injuries and mental anguish feel a lot more genuine. She was betrayed by her own uncle, had her second soul forcibly exorcised, nearly beaten to death 3 times in the span of a year, poisoned and then so injured she actually had to be in a wheelchair at the end of it. Steven didn't star having legitimate reactions to all the bullshit he went through until Future, before that it was just weird spurts of concern that quickly vanished.
