Despite the fanbase being comprised mostly of coomers, it seems to be doing well. What's the problem?

>What went wrong
Tiresome tropey cast

>Being a hc gamer
>move like Sportacus from Lazy Town
Inaccurate representation of gamers. Some jokes are kinda cringe. But overall it's an okay cartoon. It could be so much worse with Fortnite.....eeeeh. At least it has a lot of retro references. And yeah, Miko is hot af.

Allow me to make a prediction
>First 9 episodes perform worse than expected
>Nick move it to there main channel for a while
>Instantly more successful
>Nick backs out of it's Netflix deal
>Brian gets fired
>Pan gets BTFO
>Glitch Techs gets up to 4 seasons

>Instantly more successful
How? Because without Netflix I couldn't watch it legally.
Or u just another user who thinks the US is the whole world?

Too fillery

Not enough miko porn

Hey guess what dumbass, i'm Canadian, how did you even come to that conclusion

Fuck off coomer, nothing is enough for you people

Then sorry, but would it be more successful?

If they advertise it right then yeah

I'm currently in my home country jackass

>YTV burns it off at 7AM
>Nobody in Canada hears from it again
>Will never show up on Netflix ever because Corus don't play like that.

The show suffered from incompetent managing by Nick, and it went to development hell during the transition period between management teams.
It is unacceptable that the show was ready to air its first season since 2018 and yet, we never got news from Nick, up until this year because it got sent to Netflix (however that’s actually good).

>Starts with a racially ambiguous, effeminate brown guy (easily confused with Mexican boys grandma) coming in to save a black family.
>Opens with an action scene where any long-term consequences of the characters actions are instantly erased.
>Moves on to a food truck run by Mexicans who couldn't be stereotyped any harder if they were all wearing sombreros, ponchos and a bigger, more neglected family than the asian girl.
>Tiger mom says no to video game. Halfu girl defies her and will probably suffer no consequences.
>Obligatory hijab token.
>Compete in tournament remotely, as if that wouldn't obviously cause problems. To nobody's surprise the tournament hosted by the company that fixes and covers-up glitches like the MIB experiences a glitch in the tournament and freaks the fuck out.
>The remotely-connected girl still remembers because of course she does.

This is where I tapped-out from pure boredom. The show looks good, probably costs a lot to make, but I don't know who it's even for.

Nickelodeon wants nothing to do with anything other than Spengboy.

Man, you got filtered HARD, user. You are getting triggered over largely incorrect assumptions about how show will go. Sad.

>What went wrong
The show's only redeeming qualities are Miko's ass and Zahra. A show can't survive on that alone.

>You are getting triggered over largely incorrect assumptions about how show will go,
I was describing the pilot as I saw it.

Given 99% of the posts here is pedophile ass being shipped with Steven Universe I thinking everyone got "filtered"
Or it's just not a good show

Just found time to watch a few episodes. It's not bad but somehow I don't find it all that interesting. It's sort of similar to RotTMNT but not as stylishly choreographed while the characters, antagonists especially, aren't very distinct so far. I'll keep watching to see where this season will take this.

You describe non-white people as a bad thing in a show taking place in America, where a lot of non-white people live too. Couple that with the fact that this show is a nod to both Ghostbusters and MiB, of course they are gonna fix the mayhem caused by their glitches.
And of course the mandatory coomer who never saw the entire show
We had a quite big amount of threads discussing the plot, no clue what are you talking about.

I’d rather have no more Glitch Techs threads if it comes down to FUD fags and coomers.

>(however that’s actually good).
How

>You describe non-white people as a bad thing in a show taking place in America, where a lot of non-white people live too.
Right, but the white people that are there are basically retarded and useless, while the non-white people are walking racial stereotypes.

>a nod to both Ghostbusters and MiB, of course they are gonna fix the mayhem caused by their glitches.
But the Ghostbusters and MiB didn't really cause all of the problems to begin with, the way the Hinobi hosts their own videogame tournament. It's an easy fix, make Hinobi create the glitches intentionally for some reason and have the Glitch Techs foil their schemes. But I guess the writers were too stupid to realize that having a group solve the problems that they themselves create makes for poor optics. They probably didn't want to be too morally unambiguous as to have clear heroes and villains.

SU tranny detected. No one posts or wants Steven in here.

I've have gotten bans over a month for criticizing SU

Because Nick has much lower ratings than Netflix, and at this point they’ll air only Spongebob and live action shit/sitcoms.

its not marketable enough for the people with money and no soul.

cant sell a bunch of cheap ass plastic shit? worthless!

They play VR games. It makes perfect sense for them to be athletic.

>Judging a show by the pilot

>cant sell a bunch of cheap ass plastic shit?

You are definitely either stupid or trolling if you think any kid in the country wouldn't want one of those cool gauntlets, one of those cool visors, and a set of action figures. You could include different little projectiles for the action figures to shoot out of their spring loaded gauntlets to encourage you to buy the whole set.

The Castlevania episode everyone gushed about wasn't really any better either. I tried to give the show a fair chance, but it's still shit.

This to be honest. Even the better episodes of what have been released so far are 6/10s at best.

Well, if it's not for you it's not for you. It's extremely episodic and disconnected like a 90s action show, and very much style-over-substance with archetypal characters, no pretense of realism, and very low stakes. It has that Pokemon "this is actually a little fucked up if you stop and think about it, but we're not going to do that" vibe to it. That's what I like about it but I can see how for some people that would be a bug rather than a feature.

Thanks for giving it a fair taste at least.

>It's extremely episodic and disconnected like a 90s action show, and very much style-over-substance with archetypal characters, no pretense of realism, and very low stakes.
I still like shows like that, provided they can do action and/or comedy well.

>It has that Pokemon "this is actually a little fucked up if you stop and think about it, but we're not going to do that" vibe to it.
I'm too damn old to go back and watch pokemon. Digimon Adventure is surprisingly still somewhat watchable.

Nickelodeon got cold feet during production

Came across this the other day. Hadn't heard of it before, I just saw a storyboard or two. It looked alright honestly.

Digimon is pretty much "pokemon but with actual character arcs" so I'm not surprised you prefer it. I do too overall but I'm not always in the mood for it, and I can see a beauty to both approaches.

>I still like shows like that, provided they can do action [...] well.
If you have something in mind with that, I'd love to hear some recommendations. Besides Glitch Techs, the last really good, episodic, action-focused cartoon I can think of is Justice League Action and that was fucking GREAT but it was also like 3 years ago.

Cartoons are basically just being made for girls and really little kids these days because boys now mostly prefer to play videogames.

That's true but we're starting to see exceptions again, so I was hoping you might know of some I've managed to miss.

good, it should've been permanent so you can go back to tumblr

Liking SU is peak Tumblr

I wonder if my captions are there?

>Despite the fanbase being comprised mostly of coomers
well user...

Holy shit theres so much more art from the last time I checked.

Smut artists got too cocky and thought that flooding mainstream social media with porn of the girl would somehow not be bad publicity for a show aimed at kids.

Like somehow I think the smut fanartists who’ve been doing this for well over a decade fail to recognize that they’re now in their early 30’s instead of their early 20’s, and scribbling teenage girls getting railed by huge cocks is less cute when you’re no longer conceivably in their same social peer group.

Porn has literally never once killed a show.

I got news for you kiddo. Smut artists were in their 30s twenty years ago too.

Sorry to burst your bubble but kids don’t really play with toys anymore. The demographic who once bought Transformers and GI Joe would much rather play Xbox and surf the Internet. That’s not a “kids these days” old man complaint, is just a hard fact. The window of time children have to be stimulated by physical toys is shrinking by the year. People like to blame Disney’s shit decisions as the reason for Star Wars toys not selling, but honestly I think it’s really just because the novelty of toys seems quaint to a modern child, and it’s really only the collectors who care enough.

Glitch Techs does not exist in an environment that would support it having merchandise, even if it was a genuine hit rather than a niche interest for content starved animation fans and fan art coomers.

It can sure as hell prevent people from taking the fanbase seriously.

This is fanart from Grimphantom trying to appeal for more episodes of Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja. Somehow he honestly believed that this would act as encouraging promotion for Disney to invest in the show.

>Disney please oh please keep this show going. Here’s a picture of two naked teenage girls from the show. Isn’t that what you want for your brand image? Never mind this is coming from a grown man and not your target demographic of kids! Reward us, the adult smut artists, with more content!

I guess I’m just biased because I remember being a teenager in the late 2000’s and seeing the rule 34 community take off for the first time. So I assume everyone who did it was like me, and not a grown ass adult.

It's an ok show in a sea of ok shows. The video game themed cartoon, specifically a cartoon ABOUT videogames have never been too popular, they get boring pretty quickly.

Btw anyone has the smug edit of this?

Attached: 1582900405543.png (1244x1292, 895.5K)

>the video game themed cartoon, specifically a cartoon ABOUT videogames have never been too popular, they get boring pretty quickly
This, plus cartoons only seem to portray videogames as being 16-bit high score fests. Which is probably a super autistic complaint, but it really leaves them with nothing to do that hasn't been done before.

The animation studio for both glitch techs and Rottmnt are one and the same, if both rottmnt fans and glitch tech fans band together to bring back both shows, I'm certain it's possible, you guys get your waifu show back, we get our green boys back as well, it's a win-win!

>Glitch Techs will fail because video game cartoons always fail by doing this bad dumb thing that Glitch Techs clearly isn't doing.

Attached: miko smug.png (488x750, 195.77K)

and also I don't like videogames

Nickelodeon is doing better than you think and not everyone that has Netflix is gonna watch Glitch Techs

GT's concept is dated as fuck and so are its references, the dialogue is bad and is one common cartoon plot episode after the other. it should've been taken care of in the mid 2000's where it would look like another one of the bunch and promptly remembered as a coomer relic like Teenage Robot and Kim Possible.

there's also the fact that the aforementioned glitches are caused by the products sold by the company that the Techs work for, so this whole thing looks less like an action team like Martin Mystery and more of a clean up crew and it just comes out as lame.

Attached: 1579011966254.png (220x220, 126.18K)

THIS.

Horribly dated game references, cringey acting, poor writing in general, almost complete misunderstanding and misrepresentation of gamers, and shit world building.

based

>Has obviously never played VR games.
VR games do require a lot more aerobic activity than normal video games, but VR games will Never, no matter how much effort you put into it, make you effectively athletic. They can keep you in shape, or provide your minimum requirements for a daily work out. But, if you playing aerobic intensive VR games, even the advanced VR in the show, you would not become anywhere near as gymnastic as someone who actually practices gymnastics in real life, as Miko seems to be.
Being anything athletic takes more than just interacting with shit on a screen, even in perspective. it takes form, practice, rigorous training, effective diet, and adaptation.
