Spinel had to basically burn herself out of all that rage, and even then she hasn't really been triggered again. Everyone has been friendly and receptive to her, but who knows what she'll do the next time she thinks she's being abandoned again.

Steven's problem is he more or less fulfilled his purpose as Pink Diamond and now he needs to learn to grow as a human, but all his human friends are really bad at helping him with that. He's been longing for a connection from the first episode of future, and he can't seem to get it because Lars and Sadie and the other townies have moved on, Connie is busy with her own thing, and Greg doesn't understand what his own son is going through. For a normal teenager, they generally grow out of this, but Steven has a gem god embedded in his belly that reacts to his emotional state, so he's going through super crazy adolescence as opposed to a normal one.

Funny how this premise is ten times more interesting than the entirety of Steven Universe.

And what if she wants to make some friends outside the Diamonds? Clearly she doesn’t have the socials skills needed. If she genuinely wants to be Steven’s friend (and it’s clear she does), how is she gonna do it if he finds her annoying? Also the fact that she seems to have gotten over the injector incident and considers it a simple embarrassment after being horrified with guilt over it is...eye opening to say the least.

It took Pearl a long fucking time to get over what happened to Pink/Rose. Lapis still hasn’t fully gotten over her trauma.
Gems are fully capable of finding Spinel to be annoying.
And it is clear she still really wants to be friends with Steven. She genuinely loves the guy.

The part when Steven couldn’t take his own advice hurt. Because that advice was highly applicable; Steven needs to try to make a change but is avoiding addressing his problems. We’re only NOW seeing how vengeful he feels about what the diamonds did to him, and his desire for revenge because of how much pain what they did put him through.
And this is a difficult situation in which the suspect was unaware of the damage she was inflicting to the victim, Steven. Meaning it couldn’t have been malice because she didn’t know WHAT WAS RIGHT. Almost like a child in regards to human moral.

She has time, and what seems to be a pretty chill environment to rely on as she gets used to the new Homeworld. From what we saw at the start, she doesn't seem to be spending all her time with the diamonds or anything, shutting herself away from the other gems because at the very least she's going out to other parts of the palace like the throneroom that's being shown to the other gems museum-style.
