HOW!? He hasn't had a good movie in FORTY YEARS!

MOS is better then any Spider-Man movie aside from SM2 (arguably).
Fuck You.
I blame Garfield and Holland
All of Superman's actors are CHADS
You will never have a Superman movie that is as much a cultural phenomenon as ONE Marvel movie in your lifetime.
>Dean Cain
not very Superman
Name something wrong with Dean Cain outside of the fact that you don't like his politics
Man of Steel was actually good you dingbat.
>American apparently prefers Marvel over DC
>they still choose Superman over Spider-Man
it's fuckin' SUPERman. Of course he's gonna be the most popular hero.
I don’t get it either, I like Superman, but recent generations haven’t been given much reason to give 2 shits about him.
>7. Aquaman
No movie has done more for a hero than Aquaman.
>8. Captain marvel
>9. Black Panther
All 3 Raimi movies take a shit on Man of Soi.
Spider-Man is who you can become.
Superman is who you should be.
Shut up you unoriginal ass.
Man of Steel is better than TASM 2, maybe on par with TASM 1 (though it still makes me angrier because Spider-Man already has a million movies while Supes films are rare), and I didn't bother with MCU Spider-Man, so I can't rank MOS against that.
But even the worst movie of the Raimi trilogy slaughters MOS.
>le Marvel is relatable meme
my dude, Spider-Man slept with 16 different girls, his wife is a fucking super model.
He’s obese now
I think it's because there are so many Superman expys.
Despite having no good movies today, everyone always feels the need to mention that Brightburn/Homelander/Sentry/Blue Marvel/Hyperion/Shazam/Invincible is a Superman Clone.
Captain Marvel (DC) or Captain Marvel (Marvel)?
Toby was no chad.
Forget that, look at the list:
1. Superman
2. Spider-Man
3. Batman
4. Captain America
5. Iron Man
6. Wonder Woman
7. Aquaman
8. Captain Marvel
9. Black Panther
10. Wolverine
Holy fuck, if you went back to the 90's and told a comics fan that Wolverine would be beat out by Iron Man, Aquaman, Captain Marvel and Black Panther, you'd have been laughed at.
Superman is the most human, relatable superhero of all time. People WANT to like him, it's just such a shame WB are so fucking incompetent and think there's only two possible ways he can be done on film.
>Reeve style silver age boyscout
>Snyder ULTRA SERIOUS Man of Murder
oh it wasn't even supposed to be a defense of marvel
if anything i thought it was gonna get slapped for praising supes
Because Spider-Man had 37 films and all were mediocre
None really had the soul, that thing that made Spider-Man universe special, that made that environment real and different from what DC did and still does, films never had that vibe from comics, none had Harry, Gwen, Mary Jane and Peter in the same film with a perfect cast
And none of these 37 films had characters like Black Cat and Kraven and bad quality animations do not help his popularity
Compare the garbage of the current Spider-Man animated series with Kimetsu no Yaiba, One Punch Man or Boku no Hero
I still want to know if by Captain Marvel they mean DC or Marvel.
I know that might seem like a silly thing to ask but for a lot of people Billy never stopped being Captain Marvel.
OP, you need more than just movies to maintain relevancy. Superman has been in films and TONS of fantastic animated stuff. Spiderman hasnt. Just films.
Plus DeathBattle boosted it even more.
When are we getting Man of Steel 2 with Supergirl and Brainiac?
>man in his 50's puts on weight
big deal
Like the last Spider-Man movies left a good impression.
I'm amazed that Aquaman went from being considered a joke and a lame character to being the 7th most popular superhero
>tfw Man of Steel came out 40 years ago
Its a small sample size and they asked people from a very specific group instead of being more diverse.
cope
I don't even care about Spider-man nor Superman. They only asked 2000 people from Newsarama. Superman only won by 1% more votes. Not exactly a landslide victory and could easily shift with more people voting.
>They only asked 2000 people from Newsarama.
it wasn't from Newsarama, it was OnePoll doing it:
newsarama.com
> A research poll conducted by OnePoll shows that Superman is the most popular superhero in the United States - but Marvel still beats DC overall.
>The study, conducted in advance of the opening of the Avengers Campus attraction at Disneyland's California Adventure Park, measured the favorite superheroes, villains, and comic book universes of respondents.
Ask anyone who "Captain Marvel" is, there's your answer.
The only people who are shocked by this don't leave their house, & think the internet and internet articles reflect real life. Superman is a worldwide phenomenon, & THE quintessential super. That's disregarding the fact that this nigga has been around for over 80 YEARS. People who are completely clueless & oblivious to comic books and comic book culture KNOW who Superman is, even if they aren't privy to his history. Superman & things involving Superman are used in daily language as adjectives, metaphors & similes to things
>Superman are used in daily language as adjectives, metaphors & similes to things
Proof?
he's not very Superman ffs
you do understand that Superman has a definite character which Dean Cain in no way fits
you have grasped that acting is like lying because you don't just say the things that you would say, you read things other people wrote for you to say
right
Nah. Zod is 50 times better then Venom or Sandman. Cavill Superman is way more likable then SM3 Peter.
Adams is better & hotter then Dunst.
SM3 has nothing over Mos.
>Spider-Man is who you can become.
A handsome supergenius capable of building futuristic technology with some scraps with superpowers and literally dozens of super hot love interests plus being the son of a James Bond inspired character?
Yes.
the MCU fucking buried Wolverine
You’ve never heard somebody say “kryptonite” or “brainiac” or “bizarro”?
It was a combination of that plus the Disney-Marvel vs Fox war
that sounds like some serious salt buddy
that's awesome
that movie was a fucking miracle, this timeline has it's perks
they absolutely mean Marvel, Normies only know him as Shazam these days
Cringe
Flaggot
Cringe
Those were just unknowns, they weren't laughing stocks
>There were also questions as to who would win between Superman and Batman (sorry, Dark Knight, the Man of Steel wins this one)
At least the general public isn’t as retarded as Batfags.
Is there an actual numerical account of what the numbers were? Sample size?
He was already everywhere in Marvel media circa early 90s-mid 00s, and even when he was dead it's not like he ever went away given you had Old Man Logan running around, I didn't mind a break from him for a minute.
But we already got that 3 decades before the MCU
Ehhh Man of Steel is arguably better than 3
