Jan is a bitch

Wonder Woman killed that guy

Meanwhile Tony Stark tried to jail several heroes, stole Thor DNA, tortured teenagers, kidnapped children, threatened to invade Asgard etc etc etc

But who the fuck cares right?

Also, apparently getting killed by Diana makes him a Wonder Woman villain now too, for some reason

I know where you're coming from but

>one thing

Hank Pym is the king of bad decisions. Don't let the fact that this one mistake overshadows all the others blind you to that.

does guy getting one-punched count?

This isn't even really all that bad in context. I mean it's bad but context really puts a different spin on it.

>Characters that did one bad thing
Pym had a mental breakdown
Jan is the only one to notice
Jan took advantage of it to get him to marry her
She never got him the help he needed

This is one of the rare cases where she actually had it coming. And what sucks is that even though it was made clear in the 80's and 90's, most writers since the 00's never read the stories leading up to the slap and just make him over apologetic and abolish Jan of all guilt.

it doesn't really define guy in the public conscience, instead being a yeah that happened moment so not really

The ultimate example.

The Phoenix Force will always be associated with/treated as The Dark Phoenix even though the original story only had it happen because Mindmaster was using his powers to emotionally destabilize her/it. On top of that it didn't happen again until the 2000's where it was a result of the poor thing being ripped into pieces (and the next time it happens in AvX it's because the Avengers did the same thing).
But now it's the Normie meme that "Phoenix always/inevitably becomes the Dark Phoenix!" because that's how adaptations handle it and how writers that don't read comics (Aaron) portray it. All the times where it wasn't mind controlled or had it's psyche/self fragmented it was perfectly fine.

Didn't he try to get Jan while Hank was in jail? Sure they were separated at the time but that's still some sort of bro code violation.

>But now it's the Normie meme that "Phoenix always/inevitably becomes the Dark Phoenix!
That's one of the reasons I hated AvX.

It's hardly Pepe's fault he got kidnapped by shithead Yas Forumstards.

the only good thing about secret empire

what drives me crazy about both these is that if you read the story they're explained and worked out but people only like get a bullet point.

>saved the world hundred of times
he created Ultron in the first place

Why is he big

I think it adds to his character. The fact Hank will never live down beating his wife, even once, adds some tragedy to him.

I don't remember, did they reference this in the Ant-man movies at all? I only saw the first one.

in the first one they mention he had anger problems and he and jan had a rocky relationship iirc

i nearly cried when ant-man 2 gave him and jan a happy ending

I don't think they did but I'm pretty sure that's why they didn't make him the main character. Though the legacy character thing worked well imo

Should have just cut the bullshit and bash his head in, fuck off with the convoluted moral quandary of the situation, he was obviously unrepentant and unwilling to change, those individuals aren't worth the effort of rehabilitating.

when he shouted at Hope it was ment to show his anger problems, it was a great scene imo

I don't remember him being angry, just grumpy. It feels like they just say he has rage issues and leave it at that.

I agree. Scott works great and it's nice to see some variety in origins beyond genius inventor. I'm guessing Disney probably had something to do with whitewashing Hank. But that could just be me hating on the mouse.

the way Hope got scared for a second made it clear that it was anger.

Me.

The thing about extra-judicial killings is that they have bad second order consequences.

Pym did nothing wrong.

I can't don't even feel like writing down all the shit Batman has done because it's too long, and people still try to tell me that he's a great hero and of high morality.
Nostalgia is a powerful thing I guess.

Superman fucked a mermaid once and writers love bringing it up.

Pym Particles

That's not a bad thing

Don't Lanterns have auto shields?

That's a Chad move.

It cost some energy, so some of them chose to turn it down.

Well, one of the first things he does on-screen is punch the guy that insulted his wife even if he might have been his superior, no fucks given.

One More Day

They fucking turned to dust man

What do you see the Phoenix Force being in your own head canon? Doesn't the very notion of "phoenix" imply destruction then rebirth? It sounds like you only want the latter while glossing over the former.

Didn't the Batman cartoons have a theme where the cops become super competent in hunting BATMAN whenever Commissioner Gordon (Jim AND Barbara) thinks he crossed the line?

And to this day, people are still clinging somehow at this.

This.
I think it's because most people only know about him from Infinite Crisis and O.M.A.C.

Ted's face in the last panel fucked with my mind a little

That's not even his most iconic moment

This more or less but with the Venom symbiote
It was just a costume that sometimes hi-jacked Peter's body to do heroing when he was asleep
It didn't make him angry, it wasnt eating his organs, it didnt make him have evil thoughts.
Some retcons I can stomach, like the whole Venom: the hunger arc where Eddie discovers it fed on a certain brain chemical that he could totally solve with a slight change in diet, that's something that is neat but doesnt break the concept
Totally rewriting the host's memories however, is fucking stupid

>putting a bitch in her place
>bad thing
Fucking barbarians

Attached: Haram.jpg (500x764, 53.5K)

that's not even real

How do you pleasantly fuck a mermaid?

>Tony Stark

The duly appointed representative of the United States Government.

>tried to jail several heroes,

Arrested several people who refused to accede with the law, passed by the duly elected and appointed representatives of the people of the USA.

>stole Thor DNA

Picked up a stray hair from a couch over a decade ago.

>tortured teenagers, kidnapped children,

I have no idea.

>threatened to invade Asgard

Asgard having invaded the USA at the time. Thor just put Asgard in the middle of the country for no good reason at all. When confronted about it, he cowed local law enforcement into complying, and rebutted it with "It's not touching the ground, it doesn't count".

Meanwhile he was nowhere to be found when the Avengers needed him.

How much is stark industries paying you?

How much is the Mandarin paying you?

>The Chinese slandering a brave, honest American industrialist

Honestly, this is getting old. Especially now!

It would've been real funny if Hawkman just bashed his head in.
