I believe this was singlehandedly the most important scene of this show...

I believe this was singlehandedly the most important scene of this show, finally ending Steven's naivety and innocence once and for all.

He got a buff waifu out of it on the plus side

Use the catalog, fag.

shut up and deal with it.

How about you fuck off?

You are as bad as the bronies.

>You are as bad as the bronies.
Worse, because at least they get banned when they post here.

No stakes or consequences

Yeah it would have been fucking brutal if she had stayed shattered. It was fucked up as it was to see jasper realize she was shattered but it would have been devastating not only for Steven but the other gems around him to see what his aggression and anger had done.

>WAAH DON't POST CARTOONS ON MY CARTOON BOARD
SUF is in it's finale you faggots. Just leave the board if you can't take it because you'll see a lot of Steven Universe related stuff in these weeks. This is nothing compared of what we'll have in the next week.

Nah, this is more fucked up. He killed her and now she worships him.

What's more interesting is that gems do have a consciousness outside of their gemstones as Jasper was aware of her shattering after she was healed again.

>t. Unironically using /mlp/'s argument.

no that was Steven realizing his father robbed him of a human life.

You're right but there's also worth to note that Steven couldn't attain a normal human life no matter what he does or who takes care of him.

>human life
Except Steven is not human and Greg certainly did the right choice by confining him as being a freak of nature he is.

Noone is as bad as the bronies

It's not Greg's fault that Steven's so shallow minded for still wanting a normal suburban life even after witnessing such unimagineable alien stuff.

>Steven's so shallow minded for still wanting a normal suburban life even after witnessing such unimagineable alien stuff
He's being unreasonable but I can see why he would like to have those thing precisely because he watched so much weird alien stuff.

Context? I haven't seen Steven's penis since Peridorito joined and it went on hiatus.

Of course he wants that, the episode right before it shows the alien stuff gave him PTSD, meatloaf beats nearly dying a lot

The main character just broke his "no killing anyone" rule and the finale of the entire show is next week. It'll all be over soon

Man... next week is going to be a shit storm... is going to be as worse as Avatar the Last Airbender? We will soon find out.

Just like Frozen!

Steven literally murdered a homeless person and got away with it.

Well Steven actually killed someone unlike Aang so I have no idea. Future's finale can't be any worse than CYM. I really do miss the early Yas Forums days though

Steven has gem shards on his hands now. No more innocent talk no jutsu.

>Steven couldn't attain a normal human life no matter what he does or who takes care of him
that's no excuse for why Greg didn't tell Steven about his extended family. and even then Greg wouldn't have known that Steven would be a gem hybrid, he had yet to meet Rose.

>after witnessing such unimagineable alien stuff
that's exactly why Steven calls bullshit on Greg's idea of freedom. he had to deal with bossy parents while his son had to fight gem monsters shince childhood, didn't get to go to school or have a normal life, or go to the doctor.
Steven was trying to lean on Greg but now he knows his shitty human life is Greg's fault, just like Pink is responsible for his shitty gem life.

CYM was pretty underwhelming but since Steven has angst now shit will be way more dramatic even though it'll be still underwhelming anyway

"noooo! Why do 300+ people make threads for a show that's ongoing and that they love!!!!!"

Steven gleefully killed the buff orange chick with Sayian hair in a sparring match

First and foremost Steven's a fucking alien regardless how as much he tries to roleplay as a human being. He needs to accept that regular human stuff don't and won't work for him.

retard

Steven begs Jasper to be his mentor because he's desperate to feel less purposeless and learn how to control his powers so Jasper reluctantly agrees to help him but she also wants a purpose so she trains Steven until he is an unstoppable force of nature and then he goes crazy and shatters her as they're sparring. Episode ends with Jasper devoting her loyalty to him after he revives her

>that's no excuse for why Greg didn't tell Steven about his extended family. and even then Greg wouldn't have known that Steven would be a gem hybrid, he had yet to meet Rose
Again, right. I'm not denying Greg's fault here but I need to postpone my out that Steven is also being fairly unreasonable.

except she was revived later so it doesn't really matter. This isn't some anime shit where the main character has learned the horrors of taking another person life, he is gonna put more emphasis on Jasper bowing to him over him actually murdering her.
I know this because there is no time left to go deep into the consequences of murdering a person.

Too many birthdays? More like too many threads! Amiright guys?

Wow, you could not have stopped at a better point. I envy you. Please avoid the rest of the show, for your sake.

Oh look, the actual answer!
Personally I thought it was shit she got revived.

Based. this user is completely right. Watching any further will ruin you.

same here, and I say this as someone who wanted Jasper to be happy.
If she stayed dead and Jasperedemption was ruined forever, I personally would have been affected, but I would have understood 100% why it would be a route they wanted to take. In terms of story potential, having Steven kill a gem would be absolutely kino despite it getting rid of a character I liked.
Its a weird feeling to be given what you wanted but in the worst way possible.

Yas Forums's Shinji & Asuka

Attached: I'm so fucked up.png (1042x1262, 749.32K)

This is exactly how I felt user, it would have been bittersweet but kino.

>he had to deal with bossy parents

They were controlling and borderline abusive. Greg did a horrible job downplaying it and Steven's own misfortunes, but Steven wouldn't have been happy in that household either.

You spamming fucks need to get banned after this is finally over

it would have felt cheap to get rid of her just to make steven slightly more emo than he already is unless the had spent more than a couple of episodes on developing their relationship beforehand

jasper accepting him as her new diamond is just as impactful because she has always been the one gem who refused his friendship and now is essentially comparing him to pink diamond (who he sees as a monster) while rewarding him for killing her

I thought that Steven was going to turn Lapis, Peridot, and Jasper to his side and sort of do a 2.0 rebellion like his Mom did.

Jasper is my favorite character and boy did I sign up for a lot of bullshit by picking her...

To be fair, shattering never really equated to death as we know it. No, it instead was more depicted as a nightmarish eternity of pain trying to find the missing pieces as merely fragments of what you were. Broken hands and feet trying to move towards what they think will make them whole again. So I can see why it's something that would get reversed with the macguffin bath.

Naw sons. You're only understanding Jasper on a surface level. She only wants 2 things: to fight and to serve a greater power. Her coming back to pledge her loyalty is perfectly in character, and simultaneously really bad for Steven. It's the last thing he wants and she will continue to try influence him to give in to his more violent instincts.
Also, it's already been established a kajillion times already that Steven can heal broken gems. Him not trying would be massively out of character for him.

>They were controlling and borderline abusive
that's just outright hyperbole. if eating meatloaf qualifies as trauma for Greg then where does he come off comparing his life to Steven's and saying he had it better?

ah yes, because discussing about a popular cartoon in a cartoon board is a bannable offense, riiiiight.

seriously speaking, why don't you fuck off?

so what you mean is.. it was Jasper who popped his cherry

It would have been a stronger ending if she stayed shattered

I think her reforming and bowing down to worship him after he killed her is just as traumatising

Wow its fucking nothing
Thanks for the answer though

Agreed

Someone add some cum edits

It went by so quickly that it didn't have the impact it should've. Only lasted 1 minute and 20 seconds. They should've made it cut out some of the training scenes to make room for this far more cruacial moment.

If you pay attention it shows steven needs every part of the shattered gem to bring her back to life
Plus if Steven gets shattered himself that's it

This was Steven learning that there are consequences from blowing off steam. Somewhere in some lesson he will have to learn moderation.

what is going on in the top pic

The training scenes were kino

True, but they were hardly more important than this, which is why i think this moment should've taken some priority instead of happening so late in the ep.
