does anyone even give a shit about red vs blue anymore? rooster teeth has become so bloated with its other shows and most of them arent even any good.
anyway agent carolina is best.

>other shows
Are any of them animated and not live-action, Genlock or Rwby? Your right that Carolina is cool, I also enjoyed Meta/Maine.
I unironically enjoy Camp Camp, you can tell Miles puts his all into writing that show. Also Gwen is a QT even of shes a millenial shitshow mess.
I am going to be forever mad they cut that episode of s14 where maine was slowly going insane because of the Meta
>cut that episode of s14 where maine was slowly going insane because of the Meta
What?
Burnie had written an episode that was supposed to be centered around Maine before and after the AI implantation for the anthology season, but it was scrapped for time and money.
I hate finding this stuff out after the fact.
At least we got the locus and felix episode. that was pretty fun!
It was awesome but finding this out makes me wish to see Maine break for an episode.
s14 was generally pretty great but if they cut the game grumps episode and we got the maine episode instead it would have been perfect
id like to see more of the less OP freelancers like florida or ohio in the future.
I just binged the whole 17 seasons.
1-5 is great
6-8 had a good balance of comedy and seriousness. Sarge's speech at the end of revelations was kino and was never replicated in the future.
people shit on 9 and 10 for being too serious, and while thats true all of the comedy sucks too. Montys action is nice and all but I dont care about any of the freelancers.
The chorus trilogy was surprisingly good, Felix and Locus were great additions, and Tucker was a great MC. Giving tucker caboose grif and simmons their own squads were hilarious, the episode where they try to catch Felix and the helmet cams is one of my favorites. Church seemed annoying though, they didnt take advantage of his angry qualities. Ending was too cheesy and boring too.
14 was boring overall.
15 was the worst of the entire series. The two new reporters were dull, the jokes sucked and I couldn't tell if they wanted to be serious or not with the evil blues and reds.
16 doesn't even feel like im watching RvB anymore. I dont know why they brought back sister, and I was getting tired of all the "betrayals" we already saw simmons grif doc sarge abandon each other I just got annoyed when it was Donuts turn.
17 was ok, Donut's sudden coolness was weird, but at least the jokes landed. But as usual they mess it up in the final episodes of the arc by making it too serious and repeating corny speeches.
>not liking the freelancers
>not liking sister
>not liking cheese
how is it possible to have so much bad taste
>people shit on 9 and 10 for being too serious
do people actually do this? i have never really spoken to other fans of RvB
It's my favorite show of all time and has been since like 2004
I love all of it
>gen lock got renewed for a second season
It is definitely up there for me too. There are barely any shows i'd sit through 3 seasons of, let alone 17. What are some fav moments of yours?
Locus betraying felix is up there for me.
Reminder that Red Team has always been, and always will be, the best team.
Suck it Blues.
on HBO. not with RT, for obvious reasons.
based and REDpilled
how is that red team, the characters with the least plot relevance, are consistently the best characters in the show. rank your reds, everyone.
1. Donut
2. Grif
3. Sarge
4. Simmons
5. Lopez
The red team doesn’t have much plot, so they spend all of their points on comedy and character development
It had a good 10 Seasons and a great conclusion.
Anything that followed could've only hopped to be Season 5 Babylon 5 levels of quality. I get that the still do it because they enjoy making it and like eachother but it just can't compete/live up to it's past
Tex was better.
So long as they keep making PSAs, who cares about the plot?
this
>There are barely any shows i'd sit through 3 seasons of, let alone 17.
it helps that an average episode is around 10 minutes long. Easy to digest and marathon for me.
I would agree with all of this.
yeah donut suddenly getting the spotlight was odd to me. When Tucker was the protagonist his character was built off church leaving, washington training him, and his relationship with Felix. Donut's arc by comparison felt kind of forced
>agent carolina is best.
I disregard any opinion you will have from now onwards OP, as she's the weakest part of the gang
to be fair, 17 was a weird case as the writer was picking up after the plot threads established in 15 and 16. none the less i enjoyed the donut vs doc fight and donut finally being pushed into rage because of the shit treatment hes gotten was fun. also, washington and donut becoming friends was nice.
i like carolina, but shes far from being the best girl of the show or anything. dr. grey, tex, sister, jensen, and ohio are much funnier and charming imo
It was only good when it was actually making fun of the brand.
Meta was the best villain
I personally enjoy Felix more, that fucker was fun to watch.
i miss her bros
Yeah, her and wash are easily the weakest part of the group. They really arent there for comedy, and drama still feels so awkward in this show. I know they’re all supposed to be a big ‘family’ now but I wouldn’t mind at all if carol and wash were written out for whatever reason. Just have her be looking after wash cause he’s got brain problems while the others go on more stupid adventures.
I like when they do high concept stuff like time travel and robot gods, I dont like it when they’re too heavy on the drama. Last season they did a decent job at being comedy with a plot, though I dont think they’ll ever match seasons 6-8 in that regard.
washingtub has had plenty of great comedy moments acting as a foil to the others, and his snark is great like when he imitated sarge and his stupid plans. carolina in the show isnt funny, but in the more recent PSAs shes had her moments. I dont think they should be written out considering they are pretty much the only characters of the main cast that arent insane, they are good foils.
the robot god shit was bad though. it was seriously, inexcusably bad and really shattered a lot of the grounded elements of the show. while i enjoyed 17, i seriously think that they should have just made 15 a three season long narrative and adjust the plot elements a bit. i.e., make temples characterization a bit more consistent as well as have the blues and reds be less boring ripoffs
sadly it's just reality :(
fuck
time to rewatch
thanks gents
they ruined her fucking helmet design in with the new model armor and i hate it
I stopped watching when they moved over to halo 3
I stopped playing halo during halo 3 and stopped watching after they beat the meta. I remember thinking the idea behind the freelancers was cool because it was created to find a way to beat the covenant, like it was still part of the greater halo world. Does rvb still do that? like find a way to tie itself the greater halo universe?
Not at all anymore, last few seasons firmly veered off from it with time travelling robot gods and shit.
the chorus trilogy did that quite a bit, tying into the lore with the aliens but rvb has always tried to stick consistently to its own universe and really should be viewed more as a parallel universe to halo rather than existing in it proper
it looks like shit. but even if she shows up with her shit new armor i wanna see her again :(
I liked that about it too. They dont really do that anymore, but I dont think they’ve ever explicitly broken canon.
Most recent season they fought a bunch of (what I think were supposed to be) rogue forerunner AI robots that were pretending to be gods. That season was really ‘out there’ so I dont know if it would ruin that aspect of it for you. I dont think forerunners were ever mentioned by name but they were using those robot balls with the monoeyes. Wether that’s meant to imply forerunner tech or just a machinima limitation is anyone’s guess.
she did show up pretty recently didn't she?
once in s15, and once more in 17, but not in any substantial roles
Well that explains a whole hell of a lot
Actually, the gods were the result of s paradox where one of the orbs traveled back to the start of the universe, built himself a new body, and then built the other orbs, while also tricking an incorporeal race into worshiping them
If anything, the robot gods were probably made using precursor technology
the problem with the ai gods is that even though they were fake, their powers were virtually limitless so they might as well have been gods. if their powers had been manipulated or trickery, then i could get behind it but these guys had no limits.
This show hasn't been the same since Burnie left. I guess thats just the old man in me speaking
is season 18 gonna be a donut season? i know locus and carolina were in the promos with new colors, but i wanted more donut misadventures
I dropped RvB around the time travel
>yeah donut suddenly getting the spotlight was odd to me
It was about time someone from read team gets to be the protagonist. I would've chose sarge or simmons though.
Oh hey you mean that thing that WASN'T in season 10 for some fucking reason?
There's no way this show still exists.
season 18 is coming out sometime this year, its still running
they really should have included that yeah. but i guess because 9&10 were more focused on the Church/Tex/Carolina stuff they didn't have the room to fit it?
I think a simmons focused season would be interesting, maybe get some more insight into his personal life? he is definitely one of the MCs we know the least about despite him having such a strong and consistent characterization
It's just so fucking bizarre to me that they went so far as to hire Elijah Wood to voice Sigma, implying that Sigma and Maine would be major, major focuses and then it just wasn't.
