If it was not for the french dubbed I would not have enjoyed at all

Season 1 was mostly great, with some AMAZING episodes and plot twists, especially during the fantastic second half of the season. But the cracks were there - Ankama's stupidity showed in their unwillingness to explain anything if it has been already explained in their game. They assumed all the viewers had played their games. Osamodas, Ecaflip, Sacrier and Feca weren't name dropped even once. Oh, and Adamai was ugly as fuck.

Season 2 was good, but in many places it felt like a step backwards when compared to the season 1's final third. It also somewhat shifted focus from Yugo to Tristepin, starting the infamous "iopwank" meme. The most memorable episodes were at the start and the end, only The Cursed Fountain truly standing out in quality in the middle. Quite a few eps felt repetetive, uninspired or simply lacked energy. Some forced relationship drama has been thrown into the story. Some characters were thrown in because Ankama wanted to go cross media (a stupid idea even a real giant like The Matrix franchise failed at) did not help either. Adamai quickly became useless, so did Ruel. Az, the adorable Tofu the brotherhood got it's name from, got written out.

The OVAs were ok. Sure, they went full shonen on us, but weren't horrible in any means. We got a reasonable timeskip, some nice animation and good action scenes. It was pretty solid. That is, outside of more "iopwank", Adamai becoming a whiny bitch and Ruel remaining useless. Oh, and if you want to know where's that awesome dragon, read the mediocre manga that won't finish till years after the OVA airs.

Dofus was really good. The movie too, even if it had a serious case of "playourgametogetitis". Too bad almost nobody has watched it.

Season 3 had a promising start, but Tot's gross incompetence finally bit him in the ass and the plot got stupid, the story rushed, the drama forced and the animation studio sold. And Adamai completed his fall to shit and became a comic book villain.

The ovas shit on the characters motivations and personalities, their new "counterparts" feel forced and rushed, Oropo is initially cool but degrades into a meme and the only actual good character (madame echo) gets brushed aside because lolgirlscan'tbevillains/antagonists

Season 3 was basically Tot's self-insert fanfiction. He self-inserted into Sadlygrove and inserted his wife into Eva. If you feel uncomfortable, this is why.

Ruel is my favourite character. He is strong, resourceful and most importantly lived a full life. If I were a kid then I'd be a fan of Tristopin because he is a hotblooded fighter and funny. The teen's choice would be Nox, for his cool wargear, depth and tragic backstory.

Season 3 had me thinking that Oropo and Adamai would turn out to be Yugo and Adamai from the future, and the season would end with Yugo setting out to find his time's Adamai and make amends. Season 3 suffered from a short length and the Percedals. Seriously, it's time to retire them.

It's anime but with a distinct french flair. What's there not to enjoy? Ideally all nations should make their own anime just so we could see what it's like.

I don't think I'll ever rewatch any of it, but the final boss of S1 was so memorable I'll keep bringing him up until I die.

I think it was a pdf from MIPJunior or France TV where they showed Abraca and pretty sure it said it had both audio languages.

What was the point of this season?

I finished season 1 and thought it was wonderful.

Saw three or four eps of seaon 2 and hated that they brought grovy back to life, even if he was one of my favorites. For whatever reason it just sorta felt like the magic was gone, and I dropped the show. I just wasnt hooked anymore.

From what I’ve heard it sounds like it was good for me to stop watching when I did, sounds like it just went downhill.

Did Ruel ever unleash his full power level? There were hints about him being really strong but it sounds like that never went anywhere. But I’m curious, was he still a main character all the way to the end?

Also, I specifically remember this show starting when hatred for flash animation was still really strong on Yas Forums, and proving it could be done well was a huge selling point. I think part of why wakfu caught on here was it came out during a really bad time for western cartoons. It filled a void for a fun action-adventure-fantasy show, and the void for a well animated show.

Probably would’ve had a following anyway, but I think all that helped a lot.

Well I thought both seasons were good, but I agree with the Grovy wank, also I think that one of the biggest problems with season was Quilby, seriously, what was his deal?

They rushed it out and should have made it 24 eps.
