It was sorta like Johnny test with waaaaay less whipcrack. It had potential as a concept but the execution wasn’t there and it was really sorta kiddy. Also lots of puns. Coulda been great with s different art style, better writing and a focus on more mature audiences. Just age everyone up to like 16 or 17 instead of being 12 and less cornball pun humor. Maybe villains that are actual threats and some actual stakes at play.

There was the one episode where the guy at their school bragged that he dated Shezow. Guy’s reaction to that was sorta funny. It was a strange thing to have in an episode tho since they never did anything with it.
In the original version of the show, MaZ was supposed to be a Hispanic guy named Jose that had a crush on Shezow and didn’t know that Shezow was his best friend. You can sorta tell that they wanted to do more with the show but the network or something probably kept a firm grip on their leash over anything but the corniest of public humor.

While I didn't like this show, I'm actually kinda down with the whole idea of using a crossdressing or genderbending superhero and treating it like a complete afterthought because the show's universe is just so weird. The show didn't pull it off well and there's a ton of story potential with a genderbending premise (not even for comedy or sleaze, just for all the weird logistics of why that would happen), but just tossing something like that in and having it be the least weird part of a show is an attitude I can get behind.
