Has he ever written a good comic? He's everything wrong with the industry
Kevin Smith
No he has not.
no, but his older movies that referenced comics were kinda funny. dogma is probably his magnum opus.
Nepotism is a problem in the entertainment industry as a whole. People like Mags Vissaggio, Zoe Quinn, Eric Esquavel and JJ Abrams kid gettired hired by marvel and dc are a bigger issue. Atleast kevin Smith, as shitty as his movies are, was once capable of writing scripts that entertain people and directing films that make millions of dollars
Ah so this is another thread where you deny someone has ever done anything good, and pretend they have a bearing on the fact you're a faggot.
There might have been a time when he could have. But now he has gone too far up his own ass and his love of being geek media king and pop culture references. That his own fanboyism just fucking ruins anything he tries to write.
He seems more like he lost that capacity and is in the same boat as the rest of them now. He doesn't really write anything amazing any longer and gets jobs based on his name alone.
>Has he ever written a good comic?
Green Arrow
Also Daredevil was decent
All I really know about him is that he thought Force Awakens is a great movie. That's all I needed to know.
>make a few good movies 20 years ago, and despite never being good after that peak you still keep getting work
>name your daughter after character you want to fuck
JUST
i thought Guardian Devil was ok. and people seem to enjoy the green arrow he did. I think there were some Clerks comics which I'm sure are fine.
He's written some real shit though!
>name your daughter after character you want to fuck
Naming her Harley was his wife's idea.
>Crying
What the fuck is it with the people and crying when they see references in a movie? Why are they such weak fucking losers?
>im crying and I need to show my fans that Im crying!
>naming your daughter after a character your husband wants to fuck
Is she a cuckqueen?
Yeah his Green Arrow is essential GA reading.
Also his story in Tec' 1000 was the best one.
its a bit different when the reference is literally u tho
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot wasn't nearly as bad as I would have expected.
He's a nerd getting acknowledged in nerd shit. It might be a shit accomplishment but it's what his life was built towards.
>He's everything wrong with the industry
Correct. He wrote one good low budget movie decades ago and for some reason we are supposed to respect his shitty take on fandom and comics. Fuck this formerly fat faggot.
he should have listened to his heart when it told him to give up
Its a shame they never reprint Green Arrow stories that often h him and Grell had good runs.
At least he finally cut back on the cheese.
I'm completely unfamilliar with Kevin Smith outside of silent bob, Why are his takes shit? What's he sayin?
Doesn't he have good ideals but the excitation are half bake.
I like both Cacophony and Widening Gyre. Others might disagree.
Why does he do that deer-in-the-headlights expression in literally every photo he's in?
Trying to cover up that hes an arkward phototaker.
I can’t believe these aren’t sad kitten eyes.
He's super positive about everything which makes others think he should take a critical take to movies/comics/etc. but I like that he doesn't shit on other creators. He did have a brief feud with Tim Burton though.
>He's super positive about everything
are you fucking kidding me? Everyone shits on him because he doesn't shit on other things?
he literately only got fame because he's Weinstein's butt buddy
everyone cries user. maybe you should shed a few tears it might crack that icy heart of yours
>He's everything wrong with the industry.
Yeah, if we could only stop him from making comics the industry would finally return to it's former glory.
Sure.
>I think there were some Clerks comics which I'm sure are fine.
They were fun. Stupid, but fun.
>Terribly fitted blazer
>T shirt
>baseball cap
fucking why do people do this jesus
>Naming her Harley was his wife's idea.
^This. Supposedly Smith was against it, but he relented and let Schwalbach have her way in the end.
Guardian Devil is alright but it's basically just an inferior rehash of Born Again. Aside from that he's contributed nothing but cancer to the industry. Plus Smith himself comes off as a creepy weirdo.
His daughter is kinda weird looking desu senpai
>name your daughter after character you want to fuck
well im not going to say no. im just glad she didint turn completely into schwalback though shes only 20 theres time for that to happen
also im probablly the only one who will admit to this but i liked batman cacophony & jay and silent bob reboot was pretty damn mediocre, it kinda disappointed me actually
Who is that?
kevins daughter
i watched the new jay and bob movie while high and i thought it was at least better than the entire marvel universe.
>Has he ever written a good comic?
No
>He's everything wrong with the industry
Given that besides that short story for 'tec he hasn't written any comics in years i'd say that you are wrong.
Imagine the smell
the perfect plumpness
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTBBBBBBBBBBBBLLLLLLLLLLLLHHHHHHH
Also he needs to stop wearing shorts, especially once he got sick and lost some of that weight
His Green Hornet was good. And honestly those Batman issues Yas Forums gets butthurt about had some solid moments. Good use of Cornelius Stirk.
>everything wrong with the industry
He was OK and could have gotten better, but he straight up fried his fucking brain with weed, he's now like an animatronic that they wheel out to promote nerd shit. His eyes literally look like he has no soul left and there's just a shriveled husk of a mind left inside that is only capable of consuming media. I just feel embarrassed for him whenever I see him.
Mags actually writes good comics though. She actually wrote multiple series. I don't think the others even got theirs made
shes lucky to be a vegan living in hollywood. if she would have gone down the pure kevin side of the family, it would be not pretty.
he doesnt look healthy, i dont know why.
Go to bed, Tom King.
>she
She's odd, she's kind of good looking but also not at all at the same time.
I wasn't a fan of his Green Hornet. The whole comic seemed like the storyboard/screenplay for an incredibly generic action movie. It definitely wasn't as bad as the Seth Rogen version, but that's a low bar.
I liked his Green Arrow and his Green Hornet. I thought Gyre had a couple of neat concepts, but he definitely started believing his own hype at some point and let some stinker ideas onto the page.
Her body is nice and thicc but her face needs a paper bag.
I'm really shocked he didn't catch Force Awakens was a clear rip-off of A New Hope, which Abrams had already ripped off with STAR TREK before!
