The only way you'll get a sjw like me to read superhero comics is if you hire new talent that gets my perspective. And Marvel has done that, and I'm intrigued, but I'm probably not going to save one of the most sexist industries of the 20th century just because they now want my money. I've found other comics. I've been reading them for years. I feel no need to change.

They've been failing because of multiple reasons

A) Not a lot of people read for leisure anymore
B) Lack of quality control which leads to garbage like the New Warriors
C) Chasing markets that don't care about your products
D) Repeatedly failing to understand how to honor your legacy characters if you want to replace them with a new character, especially when we already have golden examples like Batman Beyond
E) Nothing feels material or finite, characters are always being rebooted over and over and never being given a chance to have a definitive finale
F) Failing to modernise to online platforms and making them easy to consume via said platforms via one centralised hub service

They came up with a stupid, insulting and absurd concept for characters which they knew nobody in the world would genuinely enjoy.

This. She's past regular chubby and is in landwhale territory which is by definition, freakish.

Okay im trying my hand at redesigning her and giving her a better back story. Instead of whatever bullshit they gave her, make the half breed descendant of an aztec god (may as well make even more deity realms in Marvel) and while she was trained when in her youth, she ultimately has her pitfalls from her mortal side (which explains why she could be a fatty but also at least somewhat athletic), so make her character arc about her either trying to overcome her weaknesses and bettering herself (which is why she choose to be leader or some bullshit, and will result in her attaining her true form which won't be a fatty). Then add in some Mayan cult shit, a good rogue's gallery that apply to her specifically, and all that other shit to jazz it up. You can even have having a sack that is magically imbued and serves as her last link to her god like heritage, or some bullshit. Also im not an artist and I hardly draw, and this is just a sketch of sorts...
