Begone, furry.
Phish police, but with dogs!
It lasted 3 seasons instead of only 6 episodes like Fish police, tho.
Didn't it last longer?
Yes,31 episodes.
a dog city? that's nuts!
The idea of the main character talking to the cartoonist is clever. More shows should do that.
Double edged sword.
>Ywn draw waifu based on your hot neighbor
too bad she's a single mother
based and dogpilled
Not nutty enough.
Nobody remembers the puppet parts.
I still remember the main villain tricking a villain of the week into jumping into a canning machine or some such because they were competing who could be the most senselessly violent, then he turns to the camera and says something like "There is a fine line between senseless and stupid"
I still use that
An underrated Henson gem.
That part was always weird/pathetic to me because he never hooked up with the real version of her. Just stayed in his fantasy land with his perfect waifu version of her in his comics instead of actually asking her out.
Unless Im remembering things wrong and he did date her.
i'd pick imaginary friend over a single mom too.
It alright.
>she'll never walk again
She looks cute and that's all that really matters.
Could have taken itself a little more seriously.
Swat Kats and Road Rovers did that and lasted way less.
The executives were just cunts.
remember any episodes?
i remember one where Ace had to find out who was sabotaging the live radio studio
>they reboot Dog City, but its a serious noir detective show with the same premise of the artist taking people and things that happen in his real life adapting it into his story telling
Would you watch it? Sin City, but with Dogs.
I'm pretty sure i saw this idea in fanart somewhere
there it is.
I hardly remember it but it sure did contribute (among several similar cartoons) to getting me into this 1930s hardboiled pulp fiction art deco private eye aesthetic.
Depends.
If actually exciting stuff is happening to the cartoonist then nah. But if the cartoonist is clearly mentally ill and deeply pathetic, blowing tiny little inconveniences up into huge deals, then that could be interesting.
For the record, since the YT channel linked above has it available: The version of "Rock and Rule" they use appears to be the American version, as opposed to the original uncut Canadian version.
Which reminds me, I oughta look for the movies in HD, since they were apparently both released on BD, though the uncut version had to be sourced from a VHS.
>now she can
youtube.com
>original uncut Canadian version
?
what was removed?
I bet she's faking. She clearly moves her knees sometimes. That or she suffers from something that makes it difficult to stand.

>The American distributor, MGM/UA Entertainment Company, disliked Greg Salata, who voiced Omar, and insisted that he be re-dubbed by an actor with name recognition, along with several edits being made to the film. Paul Le Mat was cast and Omar's obscenities were written out. The prologue was also altered, giving a reason why the characters are part animal. Released through United Artists in April 1983, the revised film was unable to find an audience at the box office. It was this chopped version that quickly found its way to home video and laserdisc.
>The film was initially broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in 1985 (uncut and including parental warnings). In 1988, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation began airing the original cut, which featured extra footage, a different, clearer audio mix, the original voice of Omar, original shots that had been replaced by alternate footage, and the shot of Zip regaining consciousness at the conclusion.
Fox kids also aired "the secret files of the Spy Dogs".
She did said she used to dance before she had an accident.
This one?
That's begging for a draw request.
I want to marry this fox
Is there a name for those sound effects that make it obvious this was produced by Nelvana? This and Eek the Cat had the same strange-ass stock noises.
Nope, this is first and best neighbor.
Screw season 2 for changing her for that kid's mom. Also typical case of show getting worse with each season, but even the show made fun of that.
Wasn't this based on a far better Jim Henson short that had Rowlf in it?
Unlike "Eek the cat" this show isn't currently owned by Disney, how that happens?
Ace is cute! CUTE!
It was a special on The Jim Henson Hour, if I'm not mistaken.
>this show isn't currently owned by Disney, how that happens?
Do you mean how does Disney not own this show when they own The Muppets? They only purchased the muppet Muppets (Kermit, Fozzie, Piggy, ect.), the Henson company got to keep literally everything else besides them.
You know before I actually watched this show, I thought it was a mature cartoon, I mean doesn't this look like it was animated by the guys behind Drawn Together and the Comedy Central seasons of Futurama?
You know when I first watched this show, I thought it was a little odd that there was so many 4th Wall Jokes in it, I mean I thought this was just going to be like one of those Anthropomorphic Animal action/comedy shows that were trying to be like the 1987 version of Ninja Turtles
Good then.
Speaking of spy shows and Fox Kids I wish there was somewhere to watch Bruno the Kid
>Stumble upon Dogcity on YT through the rock and rule threads
Neat
>Also find out all of Duckula is officially watchable on its own channel
>Dogtanian too
>Wait, there's more
It's like a miniature cartoon golden age of sorts on youtube all of a sudden.
I love it, but do wonder what's going on, you'd think this would be unlikely to happen after all the changes to animation monetization on youtube...
(*THE* Donkey Kong show is fully on that retro rerun channel too btw)
>Being at Yas Forums
>Whining about furries
Based Fifi poster.
>But if the cartoonist is clearly mentally ill and deeply pathetic, blowing tiny little inconveniences up into huge deals, then that could be interesting.
Isn’t that basically the premise of Doug?
He is
i had a crush on him as a kid
I remember this show. I always thought that it would have been better if it was all puppet.
I would like to know more about what you are talking about. There was a reason for killing the skunk trail?
I dunno about the meta reasons, season 2 just starts with Elliot dealing with Rosie feeling bland because the hot neighbor moved. Then the kid's mom full of ATTITUDE moves in and he's way too inspired by her.
The second neighbor was the springer spaniel mom right?
I don't know dog races that well, but guess so.
Gay
based
yeah, overworked single mom who probably didnt have much time for her son
