Is Starfire's solo series worth reading?
Starfire
It's good.
Yes it’s a mildly fun read
That kis is straight up molesting her in front of everyone, what an absolute chad.
you know it's an edit, right user?
>posting edit of a pic that is not from her solo series.
double fail!
No, they tried to turn her into a copy of the toon version from the anime, the whole baking powder bit is where I just stopped reading.
Do I care?
>the whole baking powder bit
What's this?
this, better than both cyborg and both raven miniseries. Also you get Dick and Terra.
It's cute, mostly lighthearted fun. Star has basically no connection to her recent characterization in it and is pretty obviously modeled on the cartoon version. Whether or not you like that is probably what will decide if you like the whole run or not.
Dick Grayson following in Bruce's footsteps as Cuckold
I liked it fine. It was cute nonsense and it brought back Atlee which is a plus in my book.
didn't this only exist to appease fags who cried about starfire not being like the cartoon version?
>the lil' coomer
Like others said they wrote her like the Starfire from the animated series. It is worth reading though because it's Lupacchino drawing cute girls
How did the artist get away with it?
Yes, AND NO ONE BROUGHT IT
it's an edit
of course they didn't. cartoonfags never buy comics.
New 52 Starfire wasn't written like her pre-flashpoint self either. She just saw her body as being a thing of natural beauty and didn't see anything wrong with showing it off. She wasn't a vapid amnesiac slut. On top of that they destroyed practically all her friendships and relationships with how they decimated the classic titans.
>New 52 Starfire wasn't written like her pre-flashpoint self either
No shit nigger. It was a universe reboot, tons of characters were different.
Yeah, and you completely lost her pre-existing audience in the process. Existing comic starfire fans were unhappy, cartoon fans were unhappy. Who the fuck was happy? People who just wanted a sexy orange skin lady with no personality to fap to?
>Existing comic starfire fans were unhappy, cartoon fans were unhappy.
And then when DC bent over backwards to appease them nobody bought it. It turns out comic Starfire fans only care about her when she's on the Titans, and cartoon fans don't read comics. Now she is getting put back on the Outlaws because apparently Jasonfags liked her, and they buy books.
>It turns out comic Starfire fans only care about her when she's on the Titans,
And even that's not true since the run flopped
>and cartoon fans don't read comics.
user...most people don't read comics.
>Now she is getting put back on the Outlaws because apparently Jasonfags liked her, and they buy books.
So why didn't they buy the previous Outlaws series?
>So why didn't they buy the previous Outlaws series?
They did?
Um, Outlaws is getting cancelled with issue #50 to make room for 5G, user.
Main continuity Starfire is in deep space having been brainwashed into being Darkseids bitch, along with Cyborg and Azrael. And may have just been fried by Blackfire
>And then when DC bent over backwards to appease them nobody bought it.
Nobody was buying shit from DC after the nu52 initial wave ended its why they winded up reverting everything back because sales were pitiful and Star characterization in that run was retconed
They didn't. The current run is a new brand from the previous one because it did terribly.
As crap as Redhood and The Outlaws was during New 52, Kori being a space admiral back home and kind of a low key badass on earth was pretty cool. Then we got this Toonfire garbage.
>pupils
Into the trash it goes
This. A million times this.
But don't worry. Meanwhile in the Titans giant she's hanging with most of the classic NTT(minus Wally and Cyborg, plus Jason)
This guy is lying his ass off in trying to present Toon Starfire as mischaracterization when it's actually just a softening of who Starfire is.
Beast boy on the other hand...
>Kori being a space admiral back home and kind of a low key badass on earth was pretty cool
This is considered cool...
forgot the image. damn
It was a mess, nothing really made sense and you could tell Lobdell doesn't give a fuck about about writing.
>Outlaws is getting cancelled with issue #50 to make room for 5G
5G is being scaled down, as we've seen with Morrison's GL being 12 issues again. Outlaws will be fine. Even if it ends it will be back in a few months just like what happened in the New 52.
The 2nd run was actually pretty solid and ironically enough Jason was the weakest element of it.
I wish I had those shoulders
There is something entertaining in Harley going full Soul Eater on us
>this is considered cool...
Naw senpai, this is, there is no denying how bad shit got later on in that series tho. Still, it’s a guilty pleasure of mine from New 52
Starfire peaked in the cartoon. Comics should leave her alone.
fuck off
Isn’t she a Darkseid New God slave in Justice League Odyssey right now?
>If Admiral Janeway had that baby with Q
Yes
So, do you think Darkseid is taking sexual advantage of her like he did with Granny Goodness and the Furies?
Toonfire > Slutfire
The art was good.
The scripts were mediocre to sad, unless you want PG (not even PG-13) non-explicit 'erotic' fan fic tier crap for tweens.
You can probably "read" the whole run by skimming it in 30 minutes.
why didnt you buy the book?
I certainly hope so, it's not as fun if it doesn't revisit the subtextual trauma of her origin story. I also hope it's never made explicit in much the same way.
cartoonfags don't buy comics
Aye. The art is great.
Pick one and only one.
6. the design is too silly not to love.
I'd like the one with her in a civilian pencil skirt, but that's not here.
I'm torn between 6 and 12 honestly, but I'm gonna roll with 12 anyways.
Yes. Cute and fun.
