Getting to know if King is just a Cubone or that's his face
Luz learning magic. Any magic. Beast-taming (Owl Eda) would be fine, just as long as her autism is controlled and she actually learns something.
Shit, I have to catch up from episode one. Has the show gotten better from the first episode?
Quality is up and down everywhere. Expect a "suggested" watching order soon. After the season ends.
Stopped watching after ep 3. Did it get better or is it still badly paced?
Bad pacing. Standout moments. Implied twincest with the latino as the buffer to alleviate taboo guilt. Just overall... average.
I’d honestly say it’s a mixed bag so far. Episode 4 was the first episode that I genuinely thought was enjoyable.
Yea. Owl Eda really is a sexy thing.
That yet another StarClone show will be announced so I can complain about it on the internet.
Maybe she learns magic from Ed
But...Ed doesn't like flat chests, right?
Does someone have all the art for the show Dana posted for it? Does someone have all of it?
Learn to scrape Twitter.
And Luz doesn't like shorties!
>What are your hopes for the rest of the season?
More Luz and Amity fanservice.
Amity with her rape baby.
a time travel episode
Whats the worst B plot in the show and why yes, it is the one in I was a Teenage Abomination where Eda and King raise a worm. Splitting up Luz and Eda is always a sign of a shit episode.
For too long Yas Forums has had the monopoly on smug lolis. This season Yas Forums is finally catching up.
>what could've been
It's really not that hard. Stop begging people to spoon feed you.
Now's the best time to catch up if you actually gave a shit otherwise just leave and watch something else.
For it to stop being mediocre and offer something that makes it stand out from other cartoons.
It already stands out by being full of waifus.
For me it's the homages and references that makes it different from other cartoons
Which homages?
Wow, already halfway through? Surprisingly not a whole lot of Eda lore, though I haven't seen the last two episodes or so.
every cartoon is full of homages and references. Name me one cartoon right now that doesn't make them.
This show is shit that's why
>Name me one cartoon right now that doesn't make them
Glitch Tetch
To get a fucking good plot , but hey it's a cartoon for kids what am I pretending ?
That show is literally full of references.
Is the girl on the left supposed to be Eda sister?
Kipo
>it's another cartoon with kids going to college and having college drama
This gets so boring. So fucking boring.
Can we have more episodes like the ep where Luz went on an adventure by herself and nearly died? This shit is already starting to feel like a different take on Sabrina, but with more brow people.
We had 3 episodes with them in collage
>mid season finale
Oh shit!
Is it gonna be lore heavy?
That's a very personal and subjective opinion
What exactly makes something good or bad pacing?
Good pacing is when you present things in a solid order so that the audience can get into the story in a way they aren't even aware of it. Bad pacing is when you just have things happen because you want to and don't care about how it looks as long as you have it.
Owl House is a great example. They throw things at you way too quick to the point it's impossible to care. Eda and her sister, the academy, the curse, Amity going from bully to sympathetic, Luz going from being taught by Eda to being taught by the academy, etc. The show drops all this shit to you way too quickly to the point that it doesn't matter. They present who cursed Eda as the main villain, but when has the show told us that curses are rare or that only a select group of people can do it? For all we know, the one who cursed Eda is probably some random crazy wizard who didn't like her face and that's it. We are thrown into this world and they push everything about it in our face the moment we get there instead of slowly showing us how it works. Amphibia, Gravity Falls and Ducktales have done this. Owl House doesn't care about setting things up, it wants to have everything at once. Proof of that is how Eda never got to teach Luz anything before she got into the academy.
Luz going to the academy is so fucking lame. Having her be an apprentice to a rouge witch would be so much more interesting.
>finale tonight
>dead thread
oof
How the fuck is Luz gonna be in academy if she has to return in her world when summer ends?
Does the new semester at the academy starts in 2 weeks?
It's around noon in the us
s01e09 mega?
Its gonna be one of those "endless summers" that Disney loves to do
>These 3: Amphibia == Ducktales2017 == GF
>These 3 >>>>> The Owl House (so far)
If that is what you're saying, then I agree with you.
Amity is still best character and did nothing wrong.
Luz could be a better character if she hung around Eda and Amity more.
Willow is a terrible character.
I can take or leave Gus, who's not as bad, but almost as lame as Willow.
OK, be good.
This. No more shows taking place in school. Kids don't like that setting and it is just not relatable as these producers forcing the writers to do it thinks it is. It just isn't!
Taking things like storytelling and character development nice and slow but not too slow == Good pacing. To put it simpler than what said, admittedly enough.
So, when are the pedofags / comers gonna ruin this thread? That's my real question here.
just go back there already
Sasha > Pacifica > Amity
Nah. I'm having too much fun here. Maybe you should go to the .
Elaborate further. I want to agree with you, because this is pretty accurate so far. After all, Amphibia >>>=== GF >>>>>> The Owl House.
cringe
I guess I like Sasha most because she isn’t just another tsundere popular bitch. She’s more interesting than that, and plays a different role in the story.
Pacifica is just a better version of Amity. Amity is kinda boring
Luz actually getting into magic school is actually an interesting change to the status quo
I really just hope the next episode doesnt backpedal on that
>A show created by an asian show runner has positive reviews than his white peers show runners
How long until someone create a shounen cartoon?
Based. Thank you for elaborating.
Nah. The school setting is gonna get boring real fast, unless an actual on-going story a la Harry Potter happens, where they spend a majority of the time doing things outside of said school. Otherwise. It'll devolve into Disney sitcom-level garbage quicker than normal.
That was only in Phineas and Ferb.
Gravity Falls had a summer with an end
I hope not, I want my manadatory cooky "not christmas" christmas themed episode
[With Luz and Amity under the mistletoe/spoiler]
Dont worry. The time dilation disconnect means that Luz will return 20 years late to her mom's grave. Then she will return to the Pimp House for cuddles after she completes her work.
>thought the last one was this
youtu.be
I was already cringing, this is just sad
