She's cute but completely misses the point of Shun's character and appeal.
Also, I tried jerking off to her and ended up fapping to vanilla Shun which probably makes me gay desu

Isn't Ikki saving her life every time kind of sexist?
>Make the prettiest of pretty boys a girl.
>Her original male version is hotter.
>tfw the fujoshi crowd panned the Netflix version because of this
See, I figured they'd have made Shun actually gay in this version. Or trans. I mean, I know burgerlanders have issues with male femininity, but it seems kinda unprogressive to just turn the sensitive, girly dude into a lady.
>I figured they'd have made Shun actually gay
Are you suggesting the original wasn't? Lots of evidence he was and nothing saying he wasn't.
Japanese cartoons didn't have gay characters in the '80s
Hah.
HAH.
amerimutts literally destroy everything they touch
Re watching the original show on Netflix you can see the appeal of Shun, he is a pacifist that is ready to fight if he has to, Netflix Shun is the standard female in the group.
I'll say the main problem is that the producer of the CGI show didn't realized the Saints are suppose to be a boy band. You have various flavors on attractive boys and a bland girl to self insert as their goddess.
...
Is it am appeal point when you notice 9 in 10 times he has to be rescued by someone else?
Also consider the fact he turns out to be Hades reincarnation later, doesn't this mean Netflix Shun WILL be trans eventually?
Why didn’t they just make Hyoga the girl? He’s a useless jobber who’s brash personality would fit for a STRONG WOMAN character
True, but the fights usually shows him having the upper hand until his pacifism gives his rival a chance to turn the tables. Also the times when he is actually forced to get up and fight he fucking wrecks the other guy.
My beautiful boy.
You know what? Yeah, Hyoga doesn't have much going on with him. He is just kind of the cool one with mommy issues you could swap the genders and nothing would be lost.
Because Hyoga didn't have a history of gender confusion among viewers. Making Shun a girl was not done to enrich the story any, it was to deal with that.
Americans can't understand that girls can be as much perverts as men. Fujoshi don't want to be "represented" in a show with pretty boys, they want to fuck them or see them fuck each other.
>a history of gender confusion among viewers.
Maybe among burgers whose entire sexuallity goes haywire the moment the see an affeminated man.
>and a bland girl to self insert as their goddess.
Mexican here.
Most girl I knew who watched this show wanted to be Athena and get fucked by Seiya.
Ikki should have been the girl.
Yeah Saint Seiya is a male harem show
...
Did a Mexican shitflix zoomer make this or are Mexicans down with beeg femboy ass?
>Mexican
That's clearly portuguese.
FemShun is cute!!
That's portuguese
I should have just said 'spic' and been done with it
>no lewds
It's funny that you actually think this.
From what is worth, the Japanese took sone of the initial perceived fears that the overseas fanbase had with HDR portray as a possible annoying SJW captain marvel fiasco type so they reshoot scenes to have her acting more like the real shun, but there's still some minor leftover pieces oh her previous characterization here and there.
But in a way the higher ups at toei did what the Sonic movie producerd did, kinda.
See OP, I told you that Yas Forums would discuss this. Lurk more.
HDR, what the hell did i meant to say? that came out wrong.
Fucking Autocorrect.
I was mostly shitposting but I did cut my teeth on Tomino shows and can't ever remember a blatantly gay character in those.
Actually somewhat based of Toei
>Female Hyoga
I-I want her to heat me up at the house of Libra, Yas Forums!
please dont project your homosexuality onto shun thanks. Even if he was into dudes that would only make him bi.
get some taste retard.
There's an article that claim Saint Seiya is a modern retelling of Taketori Monogotari (Princess Kaguya).
Isn't she suppose to wear a mask? Isn't that a rule for female saints?
That was changed in the adaptation
>claim Saint Seiya is a modern retelling of Taketori Monogotari
>"actually we have proved it isnt, but..."
everytime
Doesn't that ruin Marin and Jun's whole arcs? If your not going to bother adapting them properly you may as well promote them to bigger roles. Your spitting on canon lore either way.
masks lore has always been confusing for the audiences. Doesnt surprise me they decided against it. Honestly this is the least of their problems.
Blame that hapa-infested writing team
I like this idea evebn tough Ikki is the most masculine of them all
Somebody in Brazil made it when they news about Shun being a girl came out.
Really Netflix "writers" should stop trying to improve what isn't broken.
is the easiest fucking job in the world. Adapt whats in the manga and make it cheap.
No filler, no controversy, whats the fucking problem.
>We know the series has good female characters that could get some quality screentime.
>But let's genderbent Andromeda.
This is why these people don't have a place among Caucasians nor Asians.
>It was as she was looking at walking garbage.
I think we reach a point of "deconstruction" for lack of a better term that it's hard to tell a straightforward story. Everything these days need to be overcomplicated, self-aware and/or cynical. Saint Seiya is a very simple story at its core, saving the princess, but the modern retellings want to reinvent the wheel by modenizing the characters. See Seiya, a very straightforward shounen hero, but LoS turned him into an obnoxious Naruto clone and KotZ turned him into an obnoxious YA protagonist because he needed a "personality" that kids today could connect
>she
Wait they did WHAT?
I stopped watching the Netflix reboot to rewatch the original, will probably go back to the reboot now that I have time. Once moment I found funny when comparing the two was what happens when a Saint punches at a helicopter. In the original that helicopter explodes. In the reboot Seiya doesn't even make a dent and the helicopter just flies away, undamaged. Lol.
But by trying to modernize it they made it even more cliche, now Seiya is a street smart boy that skate boards and pic fights in the streets. That is way more cliche that the original idea.
The Netflix reboot made the green guy a girl to gain SJW points which was a massive miscalculation since everyone from fans that got pissed with the change to Tumblr who didn't like they removed the one non "toxic masculine" called his bullshit.
They show the original in Netflix but I'm not sure if that is exclusive to taco Netflix.
If I could I would shoot this guy twice in the place where his balls should be and then once in the head. At this point I'm 100% convinced that the laws regarding homicides are greatly exaggerated.
Marin still has a mask due to plot. Shaina has no mask or law about loving or killing someone who sees her face, she just gets obsessed with Seiya due to losing to him.
>The Netflix reboot made the green guy a girl to gain SJW points
I'm seeing my favorite jap franchise go down in fucking flames in real time. You have no idea how painful this is.
After all the shit they've done to Saint Seiya, I'm desentivized
I only ever watched the original anime, the one where Athena gets chained to a rock and read a manga where they fight a nordic god. I'm new to all this bullshit they have been doing.
>Shaina has no mask or law about loving or killing someone who sees her face, she just gets obsessed with Seiya due to losing to him.
So they've basically trashed her entire story. Thanks, I'll stick to the original even with the filler.
Dud, it's just one Spin-off among many others. Just ignore it like everyone has been igpnring Omega.
Right now, there is still Next dimension an Origin going on.
After watching the anime, it's good to try to read the OG manga too. several difference, but it also help explain a lot of things that weren't explained in the anime.
Jojo, Specifically stardust crusaders, had a predominantly male cast doing manly things
Ff15, also lack of women, story focused on the boy band.
Both did well with women.
So what's Netflix's fucking point?
