It screams filler, the sudden swerve of the setting is jarring without explaining how the heroes’ other relationships fit into this timeline, and feels like it’s trying to play incredibly safe after Snyder’s DBZ horseshit, but then again unlike Snyder every issue doesn’t give me a brain aneurysm and a reflex to engage in DBS shitposting.
It’s serviceable, but I doubt anyone will remember it or anything memorable will happen. What did the Quintessence say, this is the timeline that connects all timelines? Well appropriately enough it does seem like a retread of old JL stories.
