Show has a literal 11/10 couple in it

>Show has a literal 11/10 couple in it
>Creator says it's just platonic
What did they mean by this?

Maybe they're just fucking with you.
Serious talk though, when did shippers got so irritable? You used to not ask for permission or confirmation of your silly matchmaking and treated it like harmless fun. Eventually it became serious business, enough to bully creators for not humoring your exact ships.

It's already up-in-the-air enough about how Lake will survive with nothing but the clothes on her back. Adding relationship drama on top of that would be too much.

Maybe they aren't allowed to do straight ships anymore so they implied it in every way possible but then confirmed on some random twitter post that it's platonic.

They're fighting the system user, absolute legends.

As if them not being a canon couple is gonna stop all the shipping art. Show's over so you can just makeup what they do from here.

what series are they from?

Infinity Train season 2

>Serious talk though, when did shippers got so irritable?
Mid-2000s LiveJournal communities were probably the start of it, before reaching noticeable levels once social media sites like Tumblr (especially Tumblr) got going in the early 10s.

I don’t believe them

Alke is olev

Shippers have always been cancer. They've been cancer since Spock and Kirk, they've been cancer since Ash and Misty, they've been cancer since Katara and Zuko, they'll continue to be cancer for years to come. The only change is the platforms the cancer can spread from.

This show was a chore to sit through. Season 2 was slightly better, but it was still boring and nonsensical. The only things i liked were the train concept and those 2 metal cops.

>HIIII JESSE

It means we're sex-obsessed nerds.
But hey, why fix what ain't broke?

The only winning move when it comes to shipping is not to play.

I'd believe the creators if not for the blushing and hand holding. They're both kids dealing with some insane shit, so I accept that the shows events weren't the time to dive into it, but to say the two aren't thinking about it on any level seems kind of improbable.

B-but she’s not wearing any pants! That’s no way for a young girl to greet her boyfriend!

Made of metal guy would probably get his dick mutilated

I'm not normally someone who ships anything. To me them being together is just part of the story. Even if the writers say platonic after the work has been published, that's just not what is in the story. It's like that one writer(sorry not big on names) who created Harry Potter making everyone gay after she wrote it, you can't change what already exists.
If they truly meant to not write a romance, that would only speak to their own incompetence. What kind of writer can't clearly convey love vs friendship?

its not 11/10 you just self insert into it

Clang Clang Clang goes the waifu.

Arent they only 12? I remember the Static Shock cartoon creator saying he wasnt allowed by the network to let Virgil date girls since he was only 14.

Lake is literally a a mirror, and her age, bald head, and shirt all together makes her look very androgynous. You're supposed to self insert as her and imagine Jesse princess carrying your 400lb body

Since Tulip was 12 in her season, Lake would be about 13 in season 2. Though with reflections, something odd could be up there. That's probably needlessly complicating things though. So 13.

Jesse was 15.

And frankly, those two years are pretty big developmentally. I could see that as another reason to insist they're not romantically interested. Though why make Jesse 15 then, I don't know.

Lake's only androgynous if you're a weirdo shut in with an undeveloped frontal cortex who needs his lizard brain to identify secondary sex characteristics to tell genders apart.

13 year old girls dating 15 year old boys is pretty normal in American schools, especially when the boy is a jock.

Ahh yes, secondary sex characteristics like Lake's flat chest, narrow hips, and complete lack of menstruation. When the quarantine is over please join me in child watching and you'll realize prepubescent boys and girls all look the same.

I mean it's not the most utterly abnormal thing, but it's juuuust off enough to tweak an eyebrow.

You freaking lizard brain grunting hillbilly weirdo.

>Serious talk though, when did shippers got so irritable
You new? Shippers are LITERALLY ALWAYS the worst part of a fandom. It's been that way since the OG Star Trek days and will be that way forever.
And for the record I'm not talking about WHO they ship but the actions the community take part in that are almost always awful.

>resorting to insults when proven wrong
I accept your surrender.

Attached: travel-song-900x505.png (900x505, 598.03K)

You didn't prove anything. Only a moron needs to be slapped in the face with the obvious like that to tell the genders apart. Voice, body language and so forth can go a long way.

>this character is only androgynous if you realize they're androgynous

Big brain shit right there.

You retard, look up what female secondary sex characteristics are. Lake has none of them and its no surprise because she's still 13 or 14.

Voice is irrelevant because I was talking about her appearance. Even then you're wrong since plenty of boys her age dont have deep voices. Lake's voice has that robotic filter on it that makes it just a bit ambiguous, and the VA gives a pretty butch delivery that's usually done when a female VA is playing a boy, and it seems pretty deliberate given how much more feminine she sounds in other roles like Gwen Tennyson. Did you even watch this show?

My point is even without secondary sex characteristics you can tell by how the character sounds and acts. The movement isn't male at all. The exacts of her character design are a bit more angular than a male too.

Tulip is only 12 in the pilot. They changed it to 13 for the series. Which means she'd be 14 by the end. Since we don't know her birthday, Lake would be either 14 or 13 going on 14 at the end of book 2.

Now you're reaching if body language is all you have, and even then Lake deliberately moves in a way more masculine than Tulip. But sure, even a 4 year old boy and girl have very slight differences so you could tell them apart if you really pay attention, no shit. That doesnt make them not androgynous.

Attached: Lupin.jpg (340x247, 63.03K)

Ah. I didn't know they changed it.

So, Tulip at 13 at the start, plus about two months on the train, then seven months for her epilogue. So she has to be 14 by then. That assumes season 2 starts after that epilogue too. That would easily place Lake at 14 too. 14 and 15 probably wouldn't tweak any eyebrows that I can think of.

Wait if Reflections have to consciously move the same as their Prime, then Lake couldn't have been Tulip's Reflection as a baby, because she wouldn't be able to move worth a damn. But the train probably created the entire Reflection thing in that car anyway. But then why doesn't Tulip have a reflection in the epilogue...

Actually it does make them not androgynous by literal definition.

Babies already copy what they see. Mirror babies just mindlessly copy their primes. If they mess up, the baby prime isnt going to notice.

Okay I get it, you just dont know what androgynous means.

>KEK
That is the funniest insult I’ve heard in a while

>Hetero relationships
>In 2020
Uh no. It's all lesbians now user.

>flat chest
>narrow hips
>complete lack of menstruation.
Unbelievably sexy.

lol no
Actual history lesson: ship fighting has been a thing forever, but it really flourished in gateway fandoms that were by nature primarily heterosexual, where people were fighting over which pairings would end up winning in the canon material. Slash was until quite recently always treated as a fun sideshow akin to playing house with barbies because it never involved canon. Then it was infected by newfag teenage girls who didn't understand the rules.

When it's gonna be the gays' time for attention?

Never. It's lesbians because 95% of humans love lesbians. Meanwhile 45% of humans are interested in gays.

You forgot the decimal points in those there percentages.

I wonder if the Baker Street Irregulars or the Adventuresses of Sherlock Holmes ever had shipping in their fanfics.

I still close my eyes and look away when two men kiss in tv shows or movies. Gross!

Why's she so cute?

Attached: lake.png (640x640, 490.96K)

Never

>plus about two months on the train, then seven months for her epilogue
It was 5 months on the train, since 7 months after she got off was the next game design camp. They said Book 2 starts 2 months after episode 7 of book one. So theoretically some of book 2's episodes could have happened while Tulip was still on the train.

>Why's she so cute?
I wish I could tell you user. It's just something about her everything that makes her precious.

Yuricucks are not human.

Lying through their teeth.

I want to see her shine on a disco floor

>Hetfag talking
Every cartoon has yuri now.
Yuri is on an insane rise in anime
Women in real life are realizing how much better female partners are
Sit down.

Are they crying? That slightly changes what it looks like is going on here. Slightly.

Not every relationship has to have drama.

>It was 5 months on the train, since 7 months after she got off was the next game design camp. They said Book 2 starts 2 months after episode 7 of book one. So theoretically some of book 2's episodes could have happened while Tulip was still on the train.

I forgot how long she was on the train. I just remember five weeks being mentioned once, so I spitballed off of that.

Where did they say Book 2 started only two months after seven? That would place all of Book 2 before the epilogue to 1, wouldn't it?

Shut the fuck up faggot.

>Implying
Fuck off, dumbass

>Where did they say Book 2 started only two months after seven?
Reddit AMA. And yeah, it would place the events of Book 2 (after Lake's little travel montage) sometime between Tulip leaving the train and that epilogue scene at the end of Book 1.

So that would all knock Lake from "confirmed for 14" to "probably maybe 14."
