So, basically Rebecca Sugar is writing a Shinji model depression character in Steven and fucking him up. I'm predicting something very disastrous in the series finale... any more predictions?

nope, she is just self-inserting
oh, okay
He gets with a random trap at the end
isn't Steven supposed to be her lil bro?
Well I'm glad we got that settled early.
the show had a lot of NGE hommages, maybe we get a Hospital sticky fingers- scene
>she is her own lil bro
any times she looks more like steven but with glasses, I really miss her old ''velma's look''
wtf is that
>the show had a lot of NGE hommages, maybe we get a Hospital sticky fingers- scene
Bro, it will never happen, it's just too awkward to do in real life.
>>Congratulations
Congratulations…
a man can dream a little...
The only time we get away from the Steven perspective is ironically when he's dying.
Such a shit show
Hoping the GEMS spinoff gives us better context for a lot of perspectives that Steven was just daydreaming or goofing off on.
I wouldn't even care if it was reuse assets the show but exploring what the other characters saw instead and how they thought or felt.
Dumb
A long ass time ago the creators hinted that they dropped a major foreshadow early in the show's run. I'm convinced it's the "Haven't You Noticed" song.

The star motif has been in the series since the beginning, and I'm assuming that Steven, in some way, will become a star or some other celestial entity that watches over the earth but doesn't live in or interact with it otherwise.
It's a bittersweet ending, but Steven is ultimately content with watching over his friends. Cap this and call me a fag later.
>any more predictions?
Sugar dies in a freak accident before she gets to finish the show.
Trapco?
That already happened in S1 with The Test.
Steven will learn the lesson that you have to be willing to take yourself out of a bad situation, even if that situation is what you're used to and are comfortable in. Change happens and if your surroundings can't support your personal growth, then its up to you to move on and find someplace that lets you flourish.
It's not enough to recognize you need a change, you have to be willing to make one for just yourself, a lesson that everyone around him learned thanks to his support.
My prediction is that he'll go travelling, whether that means around the planet or the galaxy, and learn about what makes him happy now that he's a different person than he used to be
Looking back, that film wasn't that great. Certainly not worthy of the praise it got back in 2012
>all this autismo
no wonder why my little cousins hate Steven Universe so much
> Steven fixes all of Pink's problems for her.
> He dies of stress.
> Pink comes back to enjoy results.
> Eventually runs into Spinel on homeworld.
> "Hey, you moved? That means I win!"
>I know, I know I've let you down
It's already been predicted numerous times that he's gonna get corrupted which is kinda bad when all your fans knows whats gonna happen next. Kinda ruins like the meaning of a story you know if everyone knows what happens at the end already.
I don’t really know why. Most creators seem to love it when their fans can predict this shit. It’s like a weird connection.
Then don't put his corrupted form in the goddamn opening of the show.
"Am I... am I a good person?"
Most creators don't have a chip on their shoulder about subversive content being the only kind of content that's valid.
Don’t project onto Sugar, SU is pretty straight forward
That's what I meant user, it's like that by design. Most anons here love to bleat "bad writing" when things are too simple to figure out but the show has always been written that way. Same goes for execution of concepts. Jailbreak is essentially two retards slapfighting on a ship for example.
yeah
>The End of Steven Universe
>Seems like a giant Steven is emerging from the surface of Earth!
>The cluster!!! Defend the cluster!!!
>"I just... I just don't want to feels bad anymore..."
>"This is what you want, Steven?"
>"I don't know mom... I'm corrupting faster now, please help me! I don't want to feel alone! Mom??? MOM???"
>Love Like You.mp3
>We failed, the Diamonds fails and i don't know what to do. It's my fault... If i... if i...
>I'm such a clod, why i don't stay with Steven and helping him to feel better...
>cries
>cries
Sad
He’s leaving
>wtf no you can’t foreshadow future plot developments and then logically progress to them, where’s muh plot twists
Steven is the true villain. Because he's a white male.
I, for one, really like fucking with the characters' heads.
Though, I plan on messing with Lapis more than Steven.
>He’s leaving
...Beach City in ruins.
Remember, he's still going to burn down Little Homeworld.
And this really is the end. She can play it hard now. As hard as she wants.
The titles leave little to the imagination, especially #19.
What a cunt, I love her
Hope Bloople punches the fuck outta Lapis.
>Tonight, a Zuke died
Worm Steven isn't stopping a full squad of diamonds and the gems honestly.
We're sorely underestimating his friends.
Pink Steven knocked White and everybody she possessed flat on their asses. And that was just by yelling.
I want more of this.
White barely tried after the first attempt, we aren't giving them credit as a combined unit, they definitely got a strong chance against some stupid worm.
>Mr.Universe
A dad-themed episode. Probably going to involve the car crash that injures Greg.
Why wouldn't Steven just heal him?
Are his powers on the fritz again? Is he losing his powers, perhaps?
>Fragments
Gem shards. They had to come up sooner or later. There are still thousands of gem shards which are essentially the tortured ghosts of gems. Now that the Diamonds are together again, they should be able to do something for them.
>Homeworld Bound
...Which leads us here. He's going to Homeworld - maybe for the sake of the shattered gems, maybe to ask them for advice vis-á-vis his emotional problems.
Spinel, perhaps?
>Everything's fine
Which, of course, means everything is not fine. Pink once broke Homeworld. Is Steven going to give a repeat performance? Is Homeword going to be destroyed, in a belated retaliation for its attempt to destroy Earth?
>I am my monster
A sledgehammer is marginally more subtle than this. Callback to 'I am my mom': he's going to take all her shit on himself (Is he going to try to 'heal' Homeworld??). But no-one can do that. So the pressure is going to turn him into Gemzilla.
>The Future
So, logically, this is about the past. The very first episode had the Glass of Time. It would be kind of silly if 'Steven and the Stevens' was the end of it, since it clearly is one of the oldest concepts on the show.
I think someone (Pearl, most likely) is going to use it to get Rose Quartz from the past to talk to Steven. To tell him he doesn't have to make up for her mistakes.
"That's not why you were born. That was not why your father and me wanted you. We just wanted to create... a little creature to love."
Or something like that.
Place your bets.
JFC, now that is what i call a bet
I like your numbers, user, but you are wrong. Steven is the most powerful being in the universe.
Look at it this way. Each of the Diamonds represents an aspect: White is Control, Yellow is Drive, Blue is Restraint... and Pink is Passion.
In the end, emotion ALWAYS wins. Emotion is stronger than any reasonable consideration. When you're dizzy with anger... when you are sobbing with grief... when you're so overjoyed you could cry... or so overwhelmed with beauty or profundity you can't even speak... what hope do those other factors have? You could cry before you could talk, laugh before you could walk, scream with anger before you could control your bladder.
Steven is unstoppable. The ONLY thing that holds back an ocean of inchoate emotional chaos is an increasingly rickety dam of considerations. If he feels he has no more connections, well, we know what he's going to turn into.
Nobody beats Godzilla.
Maybe in a Twelve crossover?
That was obvious even without the OP after the last 2 episodes and the next episodes names
We don't know if White even got powers beyond mind control, if Steven takes out Yellow as she can maybe poof a diamond like she was almost doing with Blue then its all fine
Either way we know all 3 of them and all the CG's are there in the final fight due to that leaked clip. I imagine the Diamonds will do a reverse Reunited and help everyone get inside Steven's mind to calm him down
>I imagine the Diamonds will do a reverse Reunited and help everyone get inside Steven's mind to calm him down
Hm that works and its a nice parallel to the old fight
The show has definitely been in the can for a good while now
This. Wouldn't have a release date if it wasn't.
If you have to color the characters to tell who the fuck they are, you have a terminal case of sameface.
Gotcha. I'll make note of that.
This looks so stupid
People always say "It's not even that bad."
Well, I'd like to see you do better at his age. Stuff like that tends to pile up
It's a dream. Dreams tend to be like that.
This.
And besides that, mental health doesn't really work that way. You can wind up at least as fucked up as Steven (except for the magic shit) without anything bad happening at all just by losing badly at the genetic craps table. Human beings are not machines. The fact is that any person could fall victim to it at any time and it's not about comparing your trauma level to see if it's justified or not.
It is? I thought that was actually how it ended.
I don't know for sure I didn't even make it through the first season. I found Shinji's depression too boring.
It's funny, you can see evidence of Steven not being OK as early as The Test in S1. Keeping secrets and pretending everything's OK so he's not a burden on his family. It's presented in a heartwarming fashion but hindsight makes that scene fairly tragic.
Oh I thought you meant SU's scene, that one actually is a dream. Never seen NGE myself
The eva one is real but the events that lead up to that are fucked up enough that the scene comes up as normal
