2010's Future Classics

Which comics from 2010-2019 would you qualify as future classics/essentials?

I don’t wanna think about it

I don't really care

Snyder's Justice League run will surely be enshrined as one of the groundbreaking moments in comics that redefined the entire genre for a generation.

People will still be pretending Wilson's Ms. Marvel was good 50 years from now

Immortal Hulk for sure and Spider-Man: Life Story.

Certainly not pic related lol.

Hal and Pals

Okay...why does Lex look like Super Buu?

Immortal Hulk. Waid's Daredevil. King's Vision.

Boom.

This was terrible outside of the art.

Aaron's Thor is shitty but a lot of people seemed to like its tone plus the sheer size of it will probably oblige future writers to reference it.

Uncanny X-Force.

(You)

It's not completely awful and it had some nice art, at least at the beginning. I don't think it'll be more of a "small but dedicated fanbase" thing ala Superior Iron Man

Immortal Hulk sure but Zdarsky is a shit writer.

Good picks, Hawkeye as well.

Already fogotten. There's literally no reason to pick this one over a myriad of other satellite Batcomics coming out on weekly basis.

>Zdarsky is a shit writer.
When he does comedy, yeah. But Life Story was real good.

Spider-man and the x-men it’s probably going to stay buried for a while since orgy island is the status quo right now but it’s a comfy book that deserved more attention when it came out

Also tomasais Superman and supersons

>Already fogotten. There's literally no reason to pick this one over a myriad of other satellite Batcomics coming out on weekly basis.
Fuck you, you tasteless fag

Hopefully nothing because this decade has been abysmal for western comics.

Same for manga.

>tomasais Superman and supersons
Imagine eating up filler stories with no character development

Just because it's good doesn't mean it will be remembered.

I dunno user I stopped buying when bendis started writing

I will keep telling people to read pic related for the years to come.

part 4

barely any good capeshit came out in the last decade
judge away

Hawkeye
Most of what Lemire has written really
Immortal Hulk
Visions
The first Klaus mini
Flinstones
Ms. Marvel

It's a nice list but it's too long
also no need for reprints

The only capeshit that was good that came out in the last decade:
-Copra (not really typical capshit by some might still define it as that)
-Fury: My War Gone By
-Sandman Overture
-The Multiversity
-X:men: Grand Design

Haven't read Hawkeye so I cant comment on that but I'm aware it's very popular and I like David Aja as an artist.

Immortal Hulk is definitely better than most capeshit but I don't think its quite up there for me.

I considered Batman: Creature of the Night and Vision but I don't think they quite hit the mark for me too.

I'm sure most people will diagree as the board doesn't really talk as much comics as it does cartoons and most of the comics discussions are focused on capeshit are characters people would like to fuck

I think 100 comics if fair if we're talking 10 years. How many would you consider a fair amount?

I think Gauntlet and Grim Hunt will be Spider-man stories that will be referred back to with some positivity, though I don't know about "classics".

Also, the reprints ares some of my favorite things I read over the last 10 years. Harvey Kurtzman's EC artist library collections are some of the best comics period. As long as a collection came out over the last 10 years I decided to include it in the list. If you have any other recommendations then let me know

Surely more Marvel comics than Dc'ones

No taste

>terrible
No
>Further proof artists need writers to make truly stellar stories
I'd say yes.

What character development has happened in ANY other book? Capeshit ongoings aren't meant for character development. That's quite literally anti-thetical to the form.

>form
Meant genre, before some sperg goes ballistic

20th century boys was made 99 to 06 user

seems like most people here focused on the big two what about comics outside that and/or long running comics that ended last decade such as lutes's berlin?

I was just about too. Thanks for the clarification

No idea how I managed to fuck that up. In its place I'l put Sweet Tooth

see

ye was trying to hammer that reply through since the site went down

OP literally started the thread with garbage ass Snyderbats so what do you expect?

Also I noticed you didn't add anything.

both dial h for hero (new52 and DCuniverse one)

Matt Kindt's Rai
Jeff Lemire's Bloodshot Reborn, U.S.A., and Salvation

Motherless Oven
Can Openers Daughter

>racher rising
Hell no, I liked it but it's just sad how Moore just gave up on it.

>Daytripper
Absolute garbage somewhat elevated by stellar coloring.

i added lute's berlin and besides i dont know much about comics i was asking for other peopel to provide non superhero recs

Giant days.

Stuff by Lemire, Remender, Hickman.

>Saga
Yeah it is terribly sad that this complete garbage comic will be remembered for the next 50 years but unfortunately it's true.

This.

Court of Owls was kino, I'll gladly admit to that

Is it really that big? I would agree with you back in 2014/early 2015 when suddenly it was all everybody was talking about but now Saga seems to have lost most of its fandom, hell even I lost my enthusiasm for it after vol 5 or 6 the first 15 or so issues were fantastic, you have to admit

It really wasn't. I don't think anything snyder ever wrote can be described as kino, he's as much of a hack as Azzarello

Mind MGMT
Sweet Tooth
Black Hammer
Manhattan Projects
Kill or Be Killed
Bulletproof Coffin
Orc Stain
Afterlife With Archie
Fraction/Aja’s Hawkeye
