Sapient hardlight gemstones are the most advanced fictional alien race so far

It's easy for anyone to like anything. The reason it's popular in a frustrating way is because it attracts annoying people who latch onto the characters and pseudo intellectual bull crap or for identity politics reasons.

You don't read a lot of sci-fi do you?

Have you tried watching it?

This is /lit/ no I'm not crazy

It's an easy watch and while it may have problems the characters help carry the show and are the main draw. Throw in decent lore, some good music and genuinely well done emotional content and you have a very endearing piece of media.

Interesting premise and worldbuilding, likeable characters.

I'll give you the premise, but the worldbuilding sucked and the characters were annoyingly awful. As the show went on, the crying and singing got cranked up to eleven, it wasn't funny.

God, I just wanted a good monster of the week show.
