We haven't failed yet. We've barely started.
It was already cancelled before we even saw the first episode, but Netflix could call them up and order more at any time. All shows go through a period where they're airing but not yet renewed and this is only different because the show was in development hell for so long.
Leave the show on to up the view count that Netflix definitely keeps track of but does not release. Get your friends to watch it. Tweet about it. It's not over until you give up.
Please explain how this makes sense when the decision to cancel it was made before the show ever aired and there were no viewership numbers and not even any noticeable outcry from youtube grifters. The only way this would make sense is if Nick were pivoting away from modern sensibilities to revert back to just straight white guys. I'm pretty sure they're not doing that considering they're still all in on The Casagrandes.

Agreed with you, and I'm a bit confident since the show had a massive premiere. I saw social media tags and people commenting a lot on the show, tons of fanart (lewd or not) and good support.
We need to keep making noise once the second half of S1 gets to air, and I'm sure at least the next batch of episodes that are yet to be animated will get some attention.

So... partly, yes. You're god damned right I do. A feeling of ownership and involvement in a beloved fictional universe is part and parcel of being a nerd. You can't not know that.
But mostly I am autismal as fuck and my particular obsession is arguments. So when I hear somebody say something that blatantly makes no sense like "this show that didn't even air was canceled for wokeness" I can't not engage. I want to pick it apart and see if there's a kernel of reason under there or if it really is nothing more than just feelings.
If you actually do know something concrete about budget and demographics that either links the cancellation to minority representation OR explains why saving the show by watching it a lot and being loud cannot work, then I would authentically like to hear it.
If, on the other hand, you actually are just a reactionary and have nothing for me but smug-yet-stupid little jabs, then I'll take those too. It's a lot of fun for me to respond to them with disproportionate consideration and thoughtful rhetoric, in order to make myself feel more intelligent.
