>How does this work?

>It works like a community toy chest. In the /coc/ threads you are free to post whatever ideas/settings/characters you want, but you have to be OK with other people playing with them (tweaking them, putting them in stories, using them for things, etc.)
>There's no guarantee that what you post will catch on either.

>If the OC you are posting is YOURS for something you are personally doing, then it would go to the "How is your webcomic?" threads.
>If you just want feedback on an OC of yours, then it would go in the "donut steel" threads or drawthreads.

Last time:

-old stuff
-Yas Forumsle editing continues
-Not much of note, really

When was the last time someone did something featuring the Justice Yas Forumsmrades?

I really need to review the difference in composition between Justice Coalition and Justice Comrades.

Justice Yas Forumsmrades are the oldskool.

From back in the days of HeroMachine.

Aside from having a totally different lineup, they both seem rather plug-in-play for whatever story is going on.

The biggest distinction I think would be their areas of operation. The Justice Coalition seem to function primarily in the USA.
The Justice Yas Forumsmrades seem more like the defense force of the floating island and do more global defense stuff.

...Fuck, I can't think of anything about Lustbane to talk about (For the time being).

So I guess I'll just change the subject to this idea I had for a dude.

>A guy with anxiety issues ends up getting his soul bonded to this weird superpowered remote body that sort of looks like a Warframe and has similar abilities to one.
>He can transfer any amount of his soul between his normal body and the super body.
>He forms sort of a Swiss-Army Man-esque relationship with it, and starts to learn how to come out of his shell.

...There's a bit of potential in this. Maybe he fights "Jackers" who are body-snatching monsters that can mutate people

The last related character can remember being added to their neighborhood is the reveal of Jetpack Viking's wife.

Reminds me of Big Barda

Keeping in mind the whole defense task force of the floating island, what do the J/co/ usually end up fighting? Aside from the Sageworthy Society anyway.

Are there rising crime levels in the city that they are trying to uncover the source of? Are there any alien threats they repel? Do they combat extra-dimensional enemies? I know their auxiliary groups handle some stuff like that.

Who dis

Yas Forumsle.

Oh boy. 2 of my favorite designs face off.

Well this thread is just lacking today, isn't it?

Anyway, to the Yas Forumsle editor, you said you wanted there to be more with the shy kid in issue 4. Thinking about it, it'd have to go after

>The mother continues "He's really into superheroes, he's been talking about the big man on TV ever since the news report about your fight with Thunder Clap."
And before
>"That's certainly been making the rounds."
Possibly after that as well if we push the paper clone being noticed further down.

So, what sort of "cool guy" moment do you have in mind?

Booru's putting up notification warning about how 'real porn' is going to be removed and no longer going to be accepted on their service after the 31st of March.

I hope this doesn't affect any of our /coc/-related boorus. Can't quite parse if by 'real' they mean any outwardly pornographic art or only talking about 3dpg porno photos.

If you actually followed the link then they do specificity, repeatedly, that "real porn" means porn of actual people and not drawn porn.
So it has no effect on anything /coc/ related unless there is cosplay porn out there for these characters.

The thread being slow is a grim reality I've come to accept by now

I came to terms with it years ago, but if I need to bump the thread to keep it from dying prematurely, I at least want to bump it with something of content.
Even if that content is only something one other user and myself have been working on for several months now.

Be patient with me user I have the autismz.

Do they have names or numbers?

Attached: 1583288593275.png (2500x1600, 1.1M)

...I think both

I think what you poster the other day would be good, him asking the kid what he likes about the show, or maybe how the kid knew about thunderclap and Cole saving face for the guy by telling him an evil force was taking over him (Technically not the full truth) and how the guy is fine. Any of that resonate?

I mean, the Kamen Rider references would have to be in full overdrive, though.

What he likes about the show would probably be more in line with the age range of the kid.

C: "That's certainly been making the rounds."
The mother laughs a little "You should've seen his face when he found out you'd be on his favorite show."
Yas Forumsle turns back to the kid "Is Monsters and Motorcycles your favorite show?"
The kid nods, he's smiling more now.
"What's your favorite part of the show?"
"Umm, I like the parts where they do the long jumps and also through the flames, and, umm, when the monsters race the bikes."
Yas Forumsle smiles "I think you're really going to like the episode I'll be in then."

Something like that?

I imagine even if they didn't have names, people would give them names over time that would probably stick. Even if the numbers were the official designation.

yeah, That's good, have him help a kid feel like buddies with this dude he sees on the tv.

So that part's good?

What's next in issue 4?

Not so much a thing to change, but something to ponder, Why aren't the other champs trying to ask for assistance from the god? Have we already covered this?

The other champs aren't all there when they are fighting Yas Forumsle. Their gods are basically being backseat drivers in their minds so the idea of asking them for help doesn't really cross their minds.

Alright, makes sense, even if the guy thinks he's in control, PG is the one really calling the shot.

Not seeing much big changes needed. Shorten the line "Just give up before you do something we can't pass off as part of a show for the tour."
to just
"Just give up before you do something we can't pass off as part of a show."

Also maybe change up the "Paper Palookas" line. Or was that on purpose?

That alliteration was one of your ideas.
It's been almost two years, so I wouldn't blame you if you don't remember.

I kind of like how silly palookas sounds. This is the issue where I was thinking Saturday morning cartoon after all.
If it bothers you, then it could be any word that begins with a p.

I would assume alliteration was me.

That's why I asked if you did it on purpose. Because I would just add this thing.

>the paper champ glares even harder and Yas Forumsle sighs before standing straight and shouting so the crowd can here him "It's over, your paper palookas have turned to mush! Just give up!"
>He leans closer and quiets down, with a more serious tone "Before you do something we can't pass off as part of the show."

Sounds good to me.

What's next for this issue?

Maybe have the director get another line in.

He kinda speed walks past Cole and his agent.

"Hey, Cole. Great stuff, as always." He looks away from them.

"Hey, wait a sec!"

That'd go about here, yeah?

Six-Nine-Six ponders this and brings up his rune screen before answering "Hmm, I might be able to do something to help with that."

While he's doing that the director walks by "Hey, Cole. Great stuff, as always." He looks away from them and sees the set designer in cuffs with the police questioning him "Hey, wait a sec!" and runs over taking a some papers out of his brief case
Director: “Look here, he’s under contract and no one is pressing any charges. Tightly wound jackass that he is sometimes, I’m not letting his talent rot behind bars.”

Yeah, that'll do.

I think that'll do for issue 4, unless something looks off about the end to you.

Nothing feels off. Though it will always feel there is something more to add.

I just hope the implication at the end during Yas Forumsle and 696's conversation got through that the set designer isn't evil and that's why he didn't do anything truly horrific with his power.

Reminds me of Batman: Creature of the Night.

Huh. Cool

Y’know, I feel like full Succ Lustbane would make a lot of sexual threats.

>I’m going to use your stale cum as seasoning
>I’m going to drain you dry like a fucking juice box

Attached: 1E1A54AF-1CFD-4CF1-947C-615F68F9CF0E.png (1384x920, 14.26K)

I think it's fine for now. Have a little something in my head saying it's off somehow, but until I can articulate it, I say move on.

Whatever gets you off, bro

It’s mostly what I find funny. I could make it more sexual, but it’d be less funny

yeah, but you need some clear-cut way of doing this
like which one is the a team and which is is the b-c-d-f-g...z team

which ones are the main eventers and which ones are the jobbers with a heart of gold

how is it that you haven't fucked off with that?

Could be the sappy "message" at the end.

So we're moving into issue 5 now. We're getting close to the parts that will need more extensive revisions.

Because it’s something that I enjoy discussing and developing

Oh boy, more revisions!

Let's start this relatively easy. Folding goddess' name. Any Ideas?

Not him, but revisions are key to a narrative. You can never have too many

The big thing with both groups feels like at least one of their big headliners each are getting on in years and want to pass the torch.

On the Coalition side, General Freedom might have slowed ageing, but he's started to feel his years and Mighty Mantis has been active since the Cold War, so there's no way he's still responding to any old criminal activity. Skathi though is immortal and can keep going forever.
They seem to be focused on training younger heroes, but their standards are ill defined.

On the Yas Forumsmrades' side, Jetpack Viking is apparently feeling too old. Not sure if Nicky Two-Vests is immortal or has already passed the torch in secret. Manny Quinn is effectively immortal though so long as he isn't destroyed.
In-universe they should be more famous than their auxiliary groups, but in reality their sub-group, The Friends of the Jusice Yas Forumsmrads, are far more popular in these threads. They're the ones doing the street level response thing and probably should get promoted upwards.

It feels like the two big groups are locked into a stop-gap at about 2009 - 2014ish, like some kind of event needs to happen around there that moves the status quo forward so younger heroes take the stage and can get a foothold before 2020 rolls around (in-universe) so they can be established as the new heavy hitters.
I'd like to do something with the Lonely King and getting Harpoonist back into the mix so he can just be a FORCE and also get Diving Belle better trained.
But that myth arc would require a lot of work on a lot of other characters.

Mighty Mantis still needs to settle up with the Clockwork Prophet. I wonder if MM and the Recluse have had a kid yet. If they did, then that child would be of age in present day.

Phorisols is what I was leaning towards for her name, I just never implemented it.

I feel a lot of my art hurdles can be traced back to my difficulties involving stylization and perspectives

Do you do anything other than complain about your art, guy? All I ever see you doing is talking about how bad you are at art and how good other people are at art. No one cares how you feel about your own art.

....Okay

He also blathers on about half-assed concepts and seems to expect us to do the actual thinking for him.

I should wait until the next WOYA thread

Now I just feel like I’m being rejected by this community
