Yea she not only let the evil queen out but helped her hide to protect her image causing even more problems. She played the victim when learning about Ashlyn and Hunter and said that Briar has to play her part because it’s how it is.

Honeslty, my favourite part with Apple was that one movie where she got mirrored into being evil. It felt like she clicked a lot better as a villain, and it also fit her VA a lot better.

I do not like that character Apple White. Why?
Apple White reminds me of the sort of person everyone doesn’t like. Apple White tries to force people to do the things she wants to do because she only cares about what she wants. She wants to force many of the other students, especially Raven Queen, to follow their destiny because she wants to be the queen of it all. Really! That’s what she want! She wants Raven to follow her destiny because Apple want to rule fairytale land as The Fairest of Them All (the Queen). Let’s look at it again. She wants people to do what’s expected of them because she doesn’t care about their happiness of their well-being, she only cares about what she wants. She want to be queen, at the expense of others. That’s why I took the time to write this little rant about a character nobody really knows or cares about. Because I don’t like this is the character that is being marketed to impressionable young girls. Apple White is made to look beautiful and because of that little girls will like her and what to be her and I don’t want girls to get the impression that whatever you want is more important than anything else in the world. It’s more important than respecting your peers and caring about your friends. I’m sure she has her good traits but this one bad trait just overshadows everything about her to me.

I could even provide you with an example. Okay, what about on the True Hearts Day shorts? When everybody found out about Ashlynn Ella and Hunter Huntsman dating and it focused on Apple being hurt and how hard it was for Apple to accept it. Maybe it’s just me but I hope I’m not alone in believing the story should not have focused on Apple at all. It was Ashlynn and Hunter who had problems, not Apple. Apple should have done what good friends do and support her friend. She should have supported Ashlynn instead of questioning (and disapproving of her (Ashlynn’s) choices. What about in Throne-coming when Raven called Apple out on her selfishness for wanting her (Raven) to just follow her destiny? Apple replied that Raven was the one being selfish and saying that Raven was the one putting everyone at risk by not following her destiny? Look, that’s bullcrap. Because, first off, Apple doesn’t even really know what’s going to happen to everyone if Raven doesn’t follow her destiny and, secondly, if Raven follows her destiny then Apple gets exactly what she wants and that just makes her selfish. Apple even gets called on her selfishness again by her best friend Briar Beauty. Briar actually tells Apple that it’s easy for her (Apple) to say ‘Follow your destiny’ because Apple gets poisoned for a week while Beauty has to fall into a hundred year sleep. Apple is a selfish, spoiled brat who only gets away with her behaviour because she’s pretty. In real life, people hate girls like that.

I also have a problem with Ever After as a whole because characters who get happy endings are usually the ones with the right parents. It’s basically saying that because of who your parents are you deserve this. That’s would be like in real life if people said: Because you’re born rich, you’re destined to be rich your entire life. Or let’s try it the other way: Because you’re born poor, you’re destined to be poor your entire life. You see how that would be an issue? So Apple is the person basically saying that to everyone else.

Also looking around the internet, I found that people mostly like Apple for her looks and the people who do like her do not understand that you cannot push your beliefs onto someone else. They don’t get that she’s the type of person one would hate in real life. Look, I don’t hate Apple because I’m Team Raven Queen or whatever bull; I hate Apple because of who she is AND THAT is the right reason to hate someone.

Apple is such a snob she would be the "bad guy". If she were a girl I went to school with I would not like her one bit, in fact I'm surprised Raven even bothers with her at all. I would just ignore her completely.

The show was pretty but it always seemed like a kiddy version of something darker. On the other hand, the lore doesn't make that much sense as is, so maybe it's for the best the story didn't take itself more seriously.
