So what's Randy's motivation for wanting to see Peter suffer?
While a much better theory that Gwendred and any of the restarted split soul theories, I still have issue with buying into Randy.
He has no motivation and I've yet to see any solid theory behind it.
Pete ate his lunch in their fridge which was clearly marked as Randy's. Plot twist; Boomerang ate it.
But in all seriousness, you are correct. We don't have a solid motivation to support this theory, nor do we have any real connection between Randy and Norman Osborn. A case could be made that the culprit has to be someone who attended Harry's party, and of course old enough to have such a relation to Peter
Something about a ghost created by One More Day possessing him.
I kid you not, that's the only thing that people have come up with, and it still fails to address the Norman conversation. At this point I'd sooner believe it's Judas Traveller.
>OMD Related
1. Daughter (connection to Green Goblin would be when he kidnapped her in the 90's)
2. Part of Peter's Soul
>Not OMD related
Liz Allen because she has the motives the reason to hate Norman and the only thing that doesn't fit is being able to go to hell and get Mysterio out.
I'm still pulling for Gabe. It's not air tight, but it fills in more holes than most theories.
>We don't have a solid motivation to support this theory
This is the biggest problem with most theories at the moment the few characters with the proper motives don't have the capability (I.E go to hell/haven't been dead for the time) and the few characters who could have the capabilities don't have the motives (Unless we say Harry goes crazy over not knowing the secret ID like Felecia did)
Because of Kevin.

See I don't buy Gabe because they would have to explain the magic powers and him going somewhat sane. The familiarity doesn't line up either
I'm going to put some stock into Gwen being Kindred even with Clone Conspiracy shit. Was Jackal tech perfected when she came back, or at least on par with The Connors clones?
That would still leave two questions
1. What the fuck did Gwen Stacy do in life that made her soul bound for hell? (a question no one bothers asking because the tie to hell is usually just left at "well they were dead at the time" but it's very important)
and 2. Didn't she disintegrate?
>they would have to explain the magic powers and him going somewhat sane.
True. I guess you could say with his access to Norman's files he could have learned a few things like The Gathering of Five (is there anything from that we could use?), but that's just speculation. However, Randy is the only theory that covers the magic power at the moment. As for the sanity, well, I'm sure that kind of thing is cured when you die and come back.
>on par with The Connors clones?
I thought that was a special case of his prayers being granted and the powers at be deciding to give him a second chance.
Come to think of it this whole clone soul dilemma brings up the question of if someone didn't want to go back to life could they keep their soul wherever it's bound for/to and let the body run around on its own?
>Randy is the only theory that covers the magic power at the moment
What did I miss? did he get the life-tablet or something?
He had a crush on Gwen Stacy maybe?
>I thought that was a special case of his prayers being granted and the powers at be deciding to give him a second chance.
They way I understand it is that current Jackal technology is as good as magical resurrection. If the person is deceased, their soul is sucked right back into the new body. If the person still lives, the clone is merely an imitation. Doctor Strange already confirmed that Curt Connors's wife and son are indeed the same souls. Further evidence supported by this is Doctor Octopus, who stole (and improved) Jackal cloning tech to effectively remain immortal
No but he debuted the same issue as the tablet, so people are theorizing its connected. The Egyptian myth is the strongest theory we have explaining Kindred's appearance and powers
This one is more of a shot in the dark, but what about Shathra? I've never read any of her stuff and only know her from the Spiderman encyclopedia, but it seems like she could fit the bill?
ITS GWEN
WHY WAS SHE IN HELL FAGGOT?
>The answer to the mystery is a complete randoid who hasn't made any appearance and has been completely forgotten
No
Let's try not to assume any retcons.
Miles Warren
Didn't she fuck Kaine disguised as his girlfriend and then the apartment exploded?
It wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened. Look at how many times forgotten/unknown characters have come back in a big way over the years. Just look at Xemnu.
Would you really be salty that you couldn't figure it out because you just didn't know who the character was before hand? I'm just saying, there is a good chance it's going to be someone who has been totally forgotten.
>tfw I missed the Kaine storytimes after the first 3 issues
I feel more regret with each passing day.
It's not a mystery if the character is completely absent from the run (as in not even in the background/a single panel) before the "reveal"
for being a jadeburner whore
Sins Past Gwen was a clone and no one can convince me otherwise!
In any other media, I'd agree with you. BUT this is comic books. It would be FAR from the first time something like that happened.
See Spectacular Spiderman #30 for more info.
Honestly, she and the family she was going to feed peter to should have been the villains for Spiderverse insteD of that stupid fucking group of steam punk vampires....
You act like comics haven't changed at all in the time since.
Jack Kirby thought it was perfectly acceptable to give an escape artist superhero a literal Deus Ex Machina around his belt that would get home out of any situation. The next writer came along and made sure the damn thing was broken. Hell even before that the Green Gobilns secret identity was a well written mystery. There's a difference between a small one of/couple of issues guessing game and a mystery that's central to the run
Is fucking Norman Osborn enough to damn Gwen to hell?
>Spoiler
I really don't see it guys. What are the most popular theories right now?
See and clone degeneration would actually explain the kids rapid aging since Normie and Stanley are fine
>why would Gwen go to Hell?
Fucked Norman, had kids out of wedlock and gave them up.
>most popular theories right now?
In order of popularity
#1. OMD Daughter
#2. Gwen Stacy
#3 Harry Osborn
#4 Randy
#5 Part of Peters Soul
>Acknowledging Sins Past happened
I don't think Spencer would dare
But wasn't Harry cured of the Goblin serum before having children?
Why the hell not? Spencer's entire run has been cleaning up Spidey canon, and Sins Past is the second most hated Spidey story ever. Nobody likes it, not even Marvel, and its STILL technically canon.
Nope that was the hole point of "Origin of the species" which was a really shitty story with godawful fat Spider-Man art but that aside the kids have Goblin Serum in them and that's sort of Normies character
Because anyone seriously interested in fixing it could do it with one sentence "Oh that was just a clone" there boom fixed but noone does it because they don't want to acknowledge that it was written in the first place. Fuck Slott had a chance in CC
>because they don't want to acknowledge that it was written in the first place
True, but its the elephant in the room that needs to be addressed, and most writers don't want to touch it out of fear of digging the hole deeper.
>Slott had the chance
Because Slott is a fat fucking idiot with an ax to grind against women who bullied him in high school
I mean that's a fair point but I still think it's being treated like the fart in the room that everyone is hoping will simply waft away. I mean there's a Gwen mini that I think will avoid touching the story with 100 foot poll
Even in modern times that kind of move is pulled user. You really mush be new to comics if you think it HAS to be someone who's been in this run so far.
If we are acknowledging Sins Past, Gabe fits WAY more than Gwen.
And even then, why didn't she have her hell powers when she was revived by Ben or attempt to get revenge then? Also, she has no reason to hate Peter.
>she has no reason to hate Peter.
Giving your marriage away to the devil might piss her off. Her death was the catalyst that got Peter and MJ together.
Do you think a company as degenerate and cucked as Marvel would ever acknowledge either of those as bad things and allow a story treating them as bad things to be published?
Especially when they cater to wokefags who would call it "Soggy Knee Slut shaming"?
Not that user but until now all the big Spider-Man mysteries (excluding the FACADE shitshow) have been someone present in the run (Green Goblin, Hobgoblin, Jackal, Menace...)
I'm in the Peter Aspect camp, be it clone or soul fragment. That's as close as it gets to being kin.
Gwen plausibly has motivation, but I don't think she's the one more for editorial reasons. That is, they know enough about the backlash against Sins Past to not torpedo her character on that level again.
Randy simply has no motivation, as cool as the tablet idea is. Right now we don't even know if Kindred prefers Fisk to get his hands on it or not, and It is shown to be capable of manipulating events to Its favor.
Harry has less of a motivation, especially when Spider-Man saved Liz and brought his family together again. Norman has never been proud of him or seen him as a successor ever. Harry would not have sat still and watched Carnage rip up Normie.
Gabriel has the same strike against him as Gwen. Sins Past is best left forgotten and Marvel knows that.
Where my "Kindred is part of Peter's soul" fags at?
Some people are posting without actually having read the run so far.
>it'll be just you and me
>like it should've been all along
How is this Randy, Gabriel, or OMD daughter?
Kindred vividly remembers this party, so he must have been there. Or it's a version/part/clone of those characters who shares their memories.
>Then we can face the truth together
>The truth of what you did
That's how it CAN be OMD daughter
Finally, Kindred is always referred to as "he" and "him", so it's either Harry, Norman or Peter's clone/part.
The gender thing could be a red herring though because the character is often drawn as androgynous.
That is just dramatic speak. Thinking he/or-she is the most important. Doesn’t necessarily mean they want Peter’s dick. Randy is just being a spaz.
what about her mom? shouldn't they ALL have been together as one happy family?
also this daughter theory implies a lot of things: what a soul is, how it works in MU etc.
Not ASM but if it gets axed I'm honestly willing to put Fake Red high up on the list of my all time favorite Spider-Man stories.
>>The truth of what you did
It can be anything really, like Peter killing Gwen.
Well there are also "Part of Peters" and "Part of Mary Janes" soul ideas running around I tend towards the former of the two if only because
"Who hates Peter more than himself?"
>It can be anything really
I'm not denying that I'm just saying that the dialogue doesn't really exclude the mentioned party like OP suggested
What about the Hatemonger?
That one was a stealth sequel to a Hulk/Warlock team up.
Then why wasn't she angry in the Clone Conspiracy? That is REALLY stupid and petty. It's like saying the real reason Emerald Twilight happened was because Batman once said green was a stupid color.
She was angry in Clone Conspiracy
For entirely different reasons She hated Peter for being Spider-Man and blamed him for her dads death
